Figgy Pudding Anyone?

For this week's heart candy, I have a 6x6 paper pad of Figgy Pudding. I haven't even opened the one that I bought for myself yet so I think I'll do that this weekend to show everyone just how cool this new Basic Grey paper is! To win, leave a comment on this post by Tuesday, November 20 and I will choose a winner using random.org on Wednesday. I'd like to know what cool gifts you're getting people this year. Yes, I need inspiration, especially for what to get the people who have everything. If you're giftcarding it, then just leave me a hello!

It's going to be a busy weekend for me. Sorry, I don't have a creation to post, but I will this weekend for sure. I was busy stamping labels for nugget tins! Enjoy your weekend!!!

  1. I love Basic Grey paper! As for cool gifts...it's so hard to choose gifts for people who have everything. The gifts won't be cool, but I am giving magazine subscriptions to a few who have everything!

  2. I'm giving home made quilts and books to my girls.

  3. I think my engaged daughter is getting the "perfect veil" that matches her wedding dress. My son is getting basketball stuff...my friends are getting homemade food baskets, (breads, cookies, candy--if I reach my goal!), and I'm not sure about everybody else. I'm not much of a gift card person...althought I do enjoy receiving them Ü I'm drooling over the paper!

  4. I am getting very stressed out about the holiday season - esp seeing all the holiday cards people are posting! And they count down on the radio in the mornings!

I have a few ideas - for my Mom, I may get her gift certificate for cooking classes. I received a couples class for Spanish cooking last year and she was intrigued by it. I love the idea of giving things like that - classes to learn new hobbies, etc. I will give some facials/massage certificates as well. I like non-stuff gifts -- you never know how people will like it and then it just ends up junking up their house! :)

  6. We have to be VERY frugal this year. I got my little brother a reindeer webkins and then the rest of the family I am making nugget tins and handmade card sets for. These will hopefully be loved and not cost us too much. Thanks for sharing blog candy with us all-Samantha

  7. Well... I'm not doing so great on the ideas yet. One thing I'm giving to my MIL/FIL and two SILs are altered frames w/ beautiful pictures of the two grandchildren (SILs' babies) that I took (that no one's seen yet) with "Cousins" across the bottom. I *hope* they turn out!

I'm also hoping to give my parents something that they can do with my BF and I; dinner theatre tickets, maybe.

  8. What wonderful blog candy. I made a couple scrapbooks for friends this year and am going to make tins as soon as they arrive. I also make homemade cookies and choc. covered pretzels that everyone always looks forward to. I also did several scrapbooking bags for my nieces and friends. They enjoy this wonderful hobby. Don't know if there cool but I'm sure they're going to love them and that's what counts.

Everywhere online seems like they are out! lol I am giving those CTMH specials from May (the accordian album) to grandparents and my yearly calendar with pics of the kids from this past year. The calendar is the only thing all the grandparents want each year. Guess I better get started on it! lol

  15. I bought my mum's present early as she wanted a new fibre optic christmas tree, she is on her own now so likes to do some decorating with minimum fuss. I just bought a usb cup heater for DH which if he doesn't use it I will be taking back for my latte, maybe I should have bought that gift for me!
    Have a great weekend!

  16. Hi Cindy! I just received the rustic flowers CTMH stamp set in the mail. Thank you so very much! I haven't had a chance to ink it yet, but can't wait! (It took so long because there was no street address on it, just my name and city....they found me though with the postal code) Anyway, the thing I'm giving most for Christmas this year is I went to a class last night to learn how to make no0sew hand tied fleece blankets. WOW are they ever cute and warm. You can find directions online, I made two blankets in 2 1/2 hours. I'm making everyone a blanket now!

  17. Yum - Figgy pudding...I was just drooling over it yesterday at my LSS. I have a friend that sells Cookie Lee jewelry so my mom is getting a beautiful bracelet from me. We draw names on Thanksgiving Day to see which family members we buy for. I give a handful of gift cards for niece & nephews, and spoil my 3 little grandkids rotten. (But so far have only bought some fantastic books for all of them) I usually give my kids & their spouses a hundred dollar bill displayed on one of my handmade cards. Boy - guess I'd better get busy!!!

  41. Cindy,

I'm making a lot of survival kits as gifts this year. If it's a college student or a new Mom or just a friend, I'm customizing the kit to the individual and placing all of these in pails. The other thing I'm doing for like SIL's are large chipboard wall words personalized to match their houses with pictures of their kids. It's gonna be a tight X-Mas for everyone this year and I want to make things feel personal. That's all

  52. I love Basic Grey! And Figgy Pudding is soooo cool!
Things are really tight this year, so all my gifts will be handmade. I am making paper bag albums (Figgy Pudding would be awesome for this, so you can just draw my name Ü), altered candle jars (shown on my blog) and altered jars (recycled) filled with recipients favorite candy, nut mixes, etc., address books (that I have made by altering little composition books, so mostly altered stuff. Ü I have lots of supplies that I have hoarded over the years (including the last 3 yrs of Basic Grey's Christmas line), so I am using lots of that up which is a good thing.

WOW...Basic Grey paper is the best!
Thank you for offering a chance to win that wonderful Figgy!

I will just say Hello because, with no kids in my family, we don't do a lot of gift exchanging. Christmas has become more of a simple time together as family.

I am still clueless when it comes to most of my Christmas presents. I think I am going to get my daughter some scrappy stuff and my son wants transformer toys. DH needs some clothes, but that is not much fun. I am looking to make a couple of calendars for my mom and mil though.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I love Basic Grey paper also. I am making a small album for 1 daughter and a wreath to display with pictures for my granddaughter. Other than that it will be toys for the grandkids.

  63. I love this paper! This year has been kind of different for me regarding Christmas gifts since we are living overseas. While we were in Spain with my mom I bought I bunch of gifts to send home. My favorite were the little police helmets I found in Gibraltar. Since Gibraltar is ruled by the British, everything from the language to the post office is British. The little police hats look like the little "bobby" hats worn by the police. So fun!
