Where have I been and Winner!
And where have I been? Not creating, darn'it. Today, I'm home with the flu. Yep, my husband's respiratory infection turned into the flu and he gave it to me. I have a temperature and right now I'm sweating! It's been a rough February but luckily, March is around the corner.
Don't forget Leap Year, Heart Candy on Friday!

My Card Sketch Notebook
I had read on another blog about taking paper for your inner pages to a copy place and having them cut it for you. So I took a ream of paper to Staples and had them cut my paper. What a fab idea. I wish I could give credit but it was on one of my blurfing days and have no idea. I also broke out my Two Scoops paper. The alphabet is called The Works from CTMH.
Enjoy your Monday!

Better Late than never Heart Candy!
This week's candy is a 6x6 paper bad of Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. Maybe answer this question, what's your favorite stamp set and/or stamp line out today! I'm a big fan of MFT but I also really like Paper Trey Ink! Of course, I also have quite a bit of CTMH and SU but I really like these other two lines because they are so different. I mean how many floral stamps can you have (I have tons!) so it's kind of nice to find some companies that are a little unique!
Have a great weekend!

A quickie for you...
This week's winner is...
I'm working on a couple of projects. I hope to post something for you all tonight. Last night I went to bed early and actually got a good night's sleeps so I feel a little better. Make sure you check back on Friday for more heart candy!

I used clear boxes that I got from the Clear Bags website. My stamps are all Paper Trey Ink. I think that they came out very cute.
Switching gears to some spring colors, I made this very cute card using MFT stamps.
The paper is double sided from Crate Paper. I used the stamp set Rain or Shine for the main image but the umbrella is from Shower Time. I paper pieced the coat and umbrella. The umbrella paper is just the other side of the floral paper. I used my copics and put some shine on the water using liquid glass. The ribbon is also Crate Paper and the prima flower matched perfectly. The cardstock is CTMH cranberry.
Don't forget heart candy! I will choose a winner Wednesday morning.

Heart Candy is Here!
All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post. You can just say hi, tell me what projects you are working on, what you're doing on this long ( if you're in the states) holiday weekend. I gotta figure that my International friends don't celebrate President's Day! We're probably going to go into LA and eat, maybe go to Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade to shop, eat, and hang out! Nothing too crazy!Did you check out the new Paper Trey Ink Release? They have some fabulous new stamps and products. I'm pretty sure I qualify for the free anniversary set. If you buy 12 unique stamp sets from them in a year, you can get their next free anniversary set next year.
I'm already thinking about Mother's Day and have started making a small gift for my Grandmother, a set of Thank You and Note cards to use throughout the year.
On all of these, I used CTMH Lilac Mist Cardstock, black and Desert Sand ink. The dp is retired SU called Spring Showers. Her first initial is an L in case you were wondering. I used my scallop, square and circle nestabilities . The stamp sets used were Paper Trey Ink Trajan Monogram and the square and circle border and corners sets.
This one turned out to be my favorite! I'm probably going to make her 8-12 cards, some duplicates but some just a little bit different. I hope to show you how I'm packaging them this weekend. Talk to you all soon!

For my Valentine
My tin was inspired by Nichole Heady's blog. The template for the heart card can also be found there. I covered my tin with K&CO. Smitten paper which I had (ironically) and I used my CTMH Adorable stamp set for the background seen on the card. I just trimmed the tin with some SU grosgrain ribbon and filled my tin with Hershey Kisses. Happy (soon to be) Valentine's Day!

Onesie Cards
This one was the first one that I made. I used Blush Cardstock and the gingham paper I used for the trim I found in my scrap pile.
This one was made with white cardstock and trimmed with baby pink cardstock. I used my circle scallop nestabilities for the trim. The stamps are from Amuse and the stork was stamped in Desert CTMH ink.I used Heavenly Blue cardstock on this card. The stamps are also Amuse and the overalls are stamped in Desert ink. I used silver brads - it was the closest that I could get to snaps.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend. It was 80 degrees here in sunny Southern California!

Altered Mailbox
I think it came out really cute. I used the All My Love stamp set from CTMH, CTMH ginham ribbon and a pink prima paper flower with a red CTMH sparkle for some bling! Now, I just need to fill it with some goodies and give it to someone special.

CPS 50 Challenge
I kept it very simple. The sketch called for a "diamond" or "harlequin" background (I wish my new cuttlebug folders were here!) so I used this CTMH background paper. The stamp set is CTMH All My Love and I used my SU Circle punches and my scallop nestabilities for the main image. The big brad is a glitter brad from Creative Imaginations and the ribbon is American Crafts.
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I am very excited about having a girl. Not too worried yet about my pocket book. Believe me, my mom can't wait to let loose! As it is, I've hardly had to spend any money on Tyler's clothes, he's gotten hand me downs from a cousin and my mom is always buying him stuff. But I know, that I'm not going to be able to resist buying all that pretty girly stuff :)

It's a Girl!
My goal was to use up some scraps and the CTMH All My Love stamp set which I did but I think it came out wierd. Oh well, not everything turns out great, it's all part of the creative process, right?

I'm home!
I plan on spending the weekend relaxing but I hope after my appointment, things can get back to normal. Let's hope my right kidney stone decides to stay dormant! Enjoy the Superbowl and I hope to talk to you all soon.
