Different take on the Pocket Card

Please visit Dawns Stamping Thoughts for the fun video tutorial for this card. You can see that I cased her card exactly. For some reason, I can't find my pic of the inside of the card but when you pull the card out, the scallop strawberry is actually attached to the white card. I found this tutorial a little bit more challenging and it didn't quite come out as a good as I had hoped.

I used SU Summer Picnic paper and the Tart and Tangy stamp set. The cardstock is CTMH crystal blue.
Enjoy,

Trifold Pocket Card #2

This is the second trifold pocket card I made using the tutorial found on Splitcoaststampers. Please visit my previous post for the link to this tutorial. I used SU sentiment stamp as well as part of the stamp found in So Many Scallops and the paper is SU Summer Picnic. The ribbon is also SU. I just love being able to use up scraps and this card helped me do that!

Hope you all find time to try this fun pocket card. Talk you all soon.

Trifold Pocket Card & Cupcake challenge

I know there are no cupcakes on this card, but I used Taylor's Friday cupcake sketch. I needed to make a birthday card for my cousin's 8 year old son so I pulled out my new Cogsmo paper pad and my new Inque Boutique stamps Toys and Out of this World. I also used May Arts ribbon and the large and small SU star punches. I used my copics and my copic blender pen to take some of the color away.

I used the tutorial on splitcoast stampers found here for this card. It was a very easy tutorial. I used SU Summer Picnic paper. The cardstock is CTMH crystal blue and the sentiment is also SU. The ribbon is from Michaels. The felt flowers and brads were from the Target $1 spot. I am having so much fun exploring tutorials. Just a fun way to jazz up the average card!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday. I went to my sister's for bbq and brownie ice cream sundaes, yum. Then we set off fireworks. My 21 month old got scared, he was very concerned that the smoke was hurting Daddy's car.
Talk to you all soon!

Circle Challenge

This is a card that I made for a challenge to use circles at aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com. I used scraps of Bo-Bunny paper and CTMH cardstock in the colors of baby pink and chocolate. The stamp set is With Love by CTMH and the circle stamped in chocolate is part of a So Many Scallops stamp. I used my various circle punches and scallop punch from SU and I used my rectangle and rectangle scallope nestabilities. The white dots were made with my ranger gel pen and the ribbon is American Crafts. For the little flowers, I punched flowers out of dp using a tiny flower punch that I got for a buck at Michael's.

I just love these colors! I hope you do too.

Easy Luggage Tag & Sketch Challenge Card

This is a card that I made for a sketch challenge at 2sketches4you.blogspot.com. I absolutelt love how it came out. The paper is Bo-bunny and the stamp is fron Inkadinkadoo. The punch on the edge is Martha Stewart and the ribbon is Target dollar spot. I used my copics for the cupcake and paper pieced the cupcake liner. The cardstock is CTMH chocolate and baby pink.
I made this luggage tag in May. My sister was getting ready to go to New York to see Little Mermaid on Broadway and hang out with our girlfriends. I, of course couldn't go being 9 months pregnant and all. So I made her this cute luggage tag.

The luggage tag is BE (Bare Elements) and the paper is Summer Picnic from SU. All I did was print out her address and cut and attach the dp to the tag and voila, super fun luggage tag that will hopefully help her find her luggage quickly.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!

2 more Basic Grey

Here are the last two cards that I created for this challenge. The first uses MFT's By the Seashore. I used the scrap of Basic Grey Phoebe paper from the previous card. I paper pieced her entire outfit and colored the rest of the image with my copics. I used my rectangle nestabilities and made the dp scallop with my SU slit punch.
This card uses the newer Basic Grey Cupcake. The stamp set is MFT Here's the Scoop. I paper pieced the glass, I just have to use up my scraps, I hate to waste a piece of this gorgeous paper. The colors used are CTMH baby pink and citrus leaf. The punch is Martha Stewart and the cherry has stickles for a fun touch. I'm glad that I participated in this challenge, I got to play with my neglected paper and stamps!

This is from "Phoebe" and is the first time I've used this paper. The stamp is a little bird from Imaginince and was a blog candy win. The cardstock is Baby Pink from CTMH and the sentiment is SU. I used my corner rounder for the scallop bottom and my nestabilities for the scallop and circle. I paper pieced the bird and just love how it came out! The ribbon is May Arts. Criss Cross Birthday Card

I think that this makes such a cute birthday card! I made a criss cross card. There are tons of tutorials out there. I used the one found here. It's a video tutorial but so easy to follow AND it shows how to make this card saving paper!

I used my favorite paper - SU's Summer Picnic and CTMH's cardstock Cranberry and Crystal Blue. I also used SU for the sentiment and the Sellabration set So Many Scallops along with SU circle punches and scallop punch. This is such a fun and easy card to make that kind of jazzes up the average birthday card, if you have some time you should try it!

Another Year Older!

Yes, today is the day. I turn another year older. My husband keeps taunting me with my age. I am a whopping 35 today. The picture of me on the side is a fairly accurate account of how I look, it was taken a little over 2 years ago. I do not think I look old! Or at least I don't feel old but 35 just sounds old!

I'm going to my SU stamp club tonight. They are having a little to do for me for having Lily. I don' t know if they know that it's my birthday. On Saturday, I'm going for Japanese food with my family and friends. Usually, my friends celebrate each other's birthdays together as a girl's night out but with the baby I think it's easier to do it just one time because I always go to dinner with my parents too and now I also have a husband who wants to do something too.It should be fun, it's tepan yaki where they cook in front of you, I personally do not like sushi. It must be the non-half Japanese side of me. I've known all of my friends since Jr. High or since birth (my cousin and sister are some of my bestest friends!). Which means I've been friends with these people for 23 - 35 years! Yikes!

Thank you to everyone who went to the amusapalooza.com website and signed up using me as a referral. The contest continues until July 6 so you can still register until then. I have already won a 15.00 gift certificate thanks to you guys so thank you again! In the meantime to celebrate your kindness and my birthday, I used random.org to help select the winners of the candy.

Another Z-Fold Announcement

Don't forget to sign up for blog candy here!

Here is another example of the z-fold announcements that I made. I was able to use up some scraps which is always good. It's the same exact layout as the one I created for the Paper Trey Blog Hop, I just used different paper.

I've already mailed these out and everyone has seemed to really like them, I hope that you do too!

June Blog Hop

I am participating in PaperTrey Ink's monthly blog hop. I needed some more birth announcements and decided to use my new Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set and Bitty Blessings patterned paper as well as the lavender moon ribbon.
For this announcement, I constructed a z-fold card out of spring moss paper and I used my nestabilities for the rectangle and scallops. I used acetate over the picture of my baby girl Lily and then used a Kaiser rub on for "adorable."
The inside of the card uses summer sunrise for the scallop rectangle. I paper pieced the cute onesie and the announcement information actually is a stamp from Stampin' Up. I just love how it came out!
