Day 14 of the 25 Days of Christmas

Here is a fun card using the new stamp set from Verve Stamps called Snow Wonderful. I stamped 3 snowmen and cut them out and used dimenionals to pop two of them out. The Vanilla cardstock was run through the cuttlebug using the snowflake embossing folder. The dp is Basic Grey Wassail and was diecut using the Top Note Die. The sentiment was stamped in red and then punched out using the label punch. The ribbon is red satin from May Arts. I paperpieced the hats using scraps from the Wassail paper pack. Enjoy!

Day 13 of the 25 Days of Christmas

I just love how this card turned out. I used my new Ornamental stamp set from Verve stamps. I stamped the ornament in red and the sentiment and top of the ornament in kiwi kiss. The dp is Basic Grey Wassail. The ribbon is the delicious kiwi kiss/vanilla ribbon which I totally love! I highlighted the bottom scallops with my white gel pen. It was a super easy and fast card but in real life it's really pretty!

Day 12 of the 25 Days of Christmas

I don't know that I like this card very much but I loved learning this technique. It was another shoebox swap item using the faux metal technique. To create this look, we took silver paper and rubbed versamark over the top and then poured silver embossing powder over it. We heated the powder until it melted and then repeated the steps again. On the third go around, after the powder melted, we quickly placed out stamp in the still hot melted embossing powder which made the image and gave it a metal look. We then punched out our shapes and made a card with it. Super cool technique and easy too!

Day 11 of the 25 Days of Christmas

I just love this snowflake ornament. It was another shoebox swap item. The large sizzix snowflake die was used with chipboard and the Big Shot. Then the die was run through again with Bashful Blue cardstock. I stamped this santa from Deer Friends, level II hostess set and adhered it to the center of the snowflake. Then the entire snowflake was inked with versamark and then heat and stick powder was poured over it. I heated the powder and then poured dazzling diamonds glitter over it. It looks so shiny and pretty! A ribbon was attached for hanging and now I have a lovely tree or house decoration for the holidays!

Day 10 of the 25 Days of Christmas

This is a fun giftcard holder that I made in a shoebox swap. it uses the ski slope paper found in the holiday mini. It was made using the 5 in 1 template from SU. The snowflake is a felt flurry that has some glue dabbed on and then the whole thing is kind of smashed with glitter. It's a very cool look in real life! I hope that have all started your holiday shopping, Christmas is nearly here! I better get going on wrapping my presents, I hate waiting until the last minute.

The winner of the fab heart candy is StampinCathy (#3). Please email me with your snail mail by Saturday! Thanks everyone for playing. I have some great stuff to give away next month! I am not able to do heart candy for the rest of the month so I can prepare for the holidays! But I hope to see you in the New Year! In the meantime, my 25 days of Christmas will continue!

Day 9 of the 25 Days of Christmas & SALE

This was a shoebox swap item that I made at my upline's house a few weeks ago. It uses the Big Shot and the Snowflake die as well as the long border die (I forget what it's called). The container is one that you can buy everywhere, I think she bought it at Smart and Final. It's first diecut on the fron with the snowflake die and Pacific Point cardstock is placed behind it and the diecut is placed on top. So easy and fun! Just put your baked item inside and you have a cute and personalized (as well as inexpensive) gift!

Day 8 of the 25 Days of Christmas

Here is a wonderful frame that my upline made. These are so inexpensive but make great gifts. I put pictures of my kids in them and give them to my mom. She loves them! I don't know how much this one cost, but I usually find them for a $1.00 at Michaels.

Day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas

Here is another card using the super cute stamps from Stamp a Sweet Impression. I paper pieced the snowman's scarf and liner and stamped bashful blue snowflakes all around him. The sentiment is stamped in Turquoise. All of the papers are from DCWV winter mat stack. The snowflake is my Martha Stewart punch which I love! The ribbon is from Taylor's store. I hope that you enjoyed Day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas!

Day 6 of the 25 Days of Christmas

Welcome to Day 6 of the 25 Days of Christmas. Isn't this the cutest card? The stamps are from Stamp a Sweet Impression which you can find at Taylored Expressions. I paper pieced the lining on these cute little holly cupcakes. The papers, ribbon and rhinestones are from Taylor's Key Ingredients, which are fun kits with all the papers you need to make some fun projects. I am sorry the picture is so blurry but I am having problems with my camera. I have a Sony Cybershot which I don't recommend, it takes some crappy pictures. I've been saving up to buy a SLR camera but I used it all for Christmas presents. The sketch that I used was found on Taylor's blog and I not only used the paper piecing technique but masked too!

Day 5 of the 25 Days of Christmas & BLOG CANDY

Here is the last blog candy of the season! I've got to start finishing up my holiday projects! Included in this candy is a brand new Riding Hood Red stamp pad, a 6x6 Basic Grey Wassail pad and a small SU star punch also new. To win, please link this blog candy on your blog and leave a comment on this post by Tuesday. A winner will be posted on Wednesday. Subscribers get a second comment.

Also, to my newsletter subscribers, I am working on the newsletter! My work computer is not working right so I wanted to work on it at home but my husband crashed my computer by uploading a friend's 15,000 external harddrive of songs. I had no memory to open anything and crashed my computer. By the time my husband fixed it, I was asleep!
Here is a card that I made for a sketch and What's Up Wednesday challenge over at the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. I used the new Basic Grey Wassail paper pad and paper pieced the couch, carpet and wallpaper. Everything else was colored in using copics. The main image is MFT's stamp set Merry Christmas and the sentiment is from Happy Holidays. The oval is a chipboard piece from the Country Living Holiday kit that I rubbed white craft ink over and let it dry.

Day 4 of the 25 Days of Christmas

Here is another great idea, make your own tags! I made these using the Country Living Holiday Kit. I plan on tying these on to the packages that I send out, so it's a gift and an ornament all in one! I tied the silver cord to the tags but left the ends loose so I can tie it to my package.

Day 3 of the 25 Days of Christmas

This is a card that I made for a sketch challenge as well as a challenge to take a non-Christmas stamp and use it for the holidays. I used MFT's Bunny Slippers which is intended to be a get well stamp. I paper pieced her robe to make it seem Christmasy. I used white gel pen around the nestability scallops to mimi the dp I used for her robe. The dp is from MFT. The sentiment is from an MFT stamp set called Merry Christmas. I think it's a little busy, at least from my usual style but still a fun, not your usual card and it's not necessarily Christmas but kind of generic holidays!

Day 2 of the 25 Days of Christmas

How cute is this card? This is Season's Sweetings from Stamp a Sweet Impression. These stamps can be found at Taylored Expressions. I colored in the image with my copics. The punches are all SU. The papers are from the "key ingredients" pack from Taylored Expressions. Taylor puts together these fabulous packs with dp, coordination cardstock and embellishments. I used ribbon, bling and glitter from the pack too! I like how it came out and the pink is a bit of a non-traditional color so that makes it fun too! Stay tuned tomorrow for more Christmas!

This is a card that I made for the JustRite challenge a couple of months ago. I used my Martha Stewart punches for the edge and the snowflakes. The stamps were all from JustRite and the dp is CTMH.

I don't know if I'll have the time to do it but try and visit me each day to see a new Christmas creation each day! You still have time to create something handmade for Christmas. It doesn't have to be a papercraft, cookies are handmade and make the perfect last minute gift!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't have anything to show you today but I just wanted to wish everyone a great day. I hope that you are able to spend it with the ones you love! I will be cooking for the second year in a row. Those of you who read my blog last year, remember my horror story of waking up that Thursday morning and finding out that my stepson had put my FRESH turkey in the freezer. I had to run out at 6am and find a turkey. NOT COOL! I hope this year will go much better. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What's the Story?

This was a card for a sketch challenge as well as a paper piecing challenge on MFT's company forum on splitcoaststampers. The papers are from Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients for Christmas. The books are colored in using copics. I saw on another blog this technique for tying the ribbon off the card. I really like the look and decided to try it out for this card. Inside the card, it says "happy birthday" because I'm actually giving this card to my library technician whose birthday is on Friday. It feels nice to actually give a card to someone. Talk to you soon.

Don't forget about the blog candy here.
