FCCB Challenge #155

Hi everyone, Welcome to this week's FCCB Challenge #155. The challenge this week is to use a triangle and the color yellow. Now, I brainstormed with my kids on things that were triangle shaped. They came up with pizza, house roofs and noses (animal, snowman etc). My husband came up with slices of pie and cake, what did you think he wanted after that conversation? Anyway, I searched through my handbooks and came up with a martini! Be sure to watch my video to get the recipe and see how it all gets put together.

Happy New Baby

Hi everyone, I have another boy baby card to share with you all.



I have made similar cards but I used a different toy and some different colors. The paper is scraps. The cartridge used is Baby Steps. This is a super easy card and everything layers very nicely. This is a card that went to a colleague that had a baby recently. Quick post today!

Bloglovin - Transfer all of your blogs over in a snap!

Hi everyone, I have a quick post today. No project, sorry! As many of your know Google Reader will be going away in a few short months. I have read numerous posts about the different other blog readers there are out there and have decided to go with BlogLovin. I was a little concerned about moving the 150 blogs I follow on there but it was super easy!
1. Visit Bloglovin.com

2. Sign up - you can sign with your email or though Facebook and it was a super fast and easy signup.

3. Bloglovin will send you a verification email - click on the link

4. The link will bring you right to a page where you can click a button to have all of your Google Reader blogs transferred. CLICK on the button

5. After a few minutes or less, the reader will open up and all of your blogs are there!

Boy Baby Card

Hi everyone, As many of you know, a zillion people at my work are having boy babies. Its a string of like 10 boy babies in a row. Don't drink the water at my work if you want to have a girl baby because it's not going to happen. So I have had to make a lot of boy cards!

This is another non-Cricut card but I was in a hurry. The paper is My Mindy's Eye and the lace is from my stash, I think from a wedding project. Anyhow, the stamp and sentiment are both from Paper Trey Ink. I still have a few more boy cards to make before the end of the year. I do hope that we start having girls, I find making cards for them so much more fun!

A Cupcake kind of day

Hi everyone, I have a fun card for you all, an easle card. I used the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers and it was easy peasy. I have a design challenge coming up and so I think that I will make another one of these cards and do a tutorial. They are really fun. My card is for the Just-a-scrappin challenge blog. The challenge is to make an easle card.

The size of the card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I used paper from My Minds Eye. The cupcake was cut at 3.0 inches and is from the Smiley cards cartridge. I hid the face in Gypsy because I wanted to use my Peachy Keen stamps. I used my white gel pen on the eyes and cheeks. Instead of cutting out the sprinkles, I used rhinestones and pearls instead and I love it! The sentiments are from Pink by Design (Sweet) and the other is from My Favorite Things!

I had this card sitting up and on my desk all week because it made me happy!

Bee You with The Stamps of Life

Hi everyone, I have a project today with no Cricut! I know that you are all aghast but it does happen from time to time! I bought these super fun bee stamps from the Scrapbook Expo at The Stamps of Life booth. They have very cute stamp images and sentiments. I figured that I could use the sentiments with Cricut cuts but I had to use the little bee. This is a super easy card. I embossed the front of the card with my honeycomb embossing folder. I then used some scrap for a mat. I stamped the bee on some scrap paper and cut it out for a little paper piecing action. Tied some ribbon, stamped the sentiment on some scrap and cut it out and I was done.

So fun and so easy! I left the inside blank because I am not sure how I am going to use this card!
