In harmony...

Today's card uses a retired stamp set called Harmony. I stamped the flowers in clear ink and the butterfly is a sizzix die. I found this stamp set in the back of my stamp shelf and it was really fun to find a way to use this stamp set!

To You From Me

The card here uses Eastern Blooms and this bright and fun Maine Blueberry dp and old olive ribbon. The sentiment is a past hostess level I stamp set but I still use it quite a bit. I also used my neglected Top Note die.

Today is random Wednesday! If you would like freebie craft products from me please leave a comment on this post and then email me with your address. I will give freebies to the first 3 people!

Red Eastern Blooms

Today's card is a simple one. It uses Eastern Blooms in a little bit different way. I stamped the flowers in white on riding hood red and cut them out. I decorated the middle with white pearls that I had on hand. The ribbon is also riding hood red. The white cardstock is embossed with dots . This is a case, I don't remember where but I just love how different the use of the stamp is here or at least different than how I normally use it.

It's the thought

Today's card is a 4x4 card. I rarely do different sized cards, mainly because I like the standard cards for one thing I don't have to worry about having the right size envelope. This stamp comes from one of the new hostess stamp sets Its the thought. I used retired Love Always paper and regal rose cardstock and ribbon.

Wishing you love

Last week's winner is: Bethany
Please email me with your address. This week's candy is this really fun CTMH fill in set. it comes with this blocked main stamp set and then other stamp sets that fit in the blocks. To win, leave a comment here and I will select a winner randomly next Friday.
I just love this card. It's a case and I can't remember the details so if you're the one I cased this from please let me know. I used some retired dp and this fabulous stamp set called For a Friend. The hearts were punched using the SU triple heart punch and the heart was colored in with a red copic and then I used stickles over it. The circles on the dp have rhinestones on them. The colors are tempting turquoise, chocolate and pink pirouette.
It's been a fun week. I took the kids and (my niece came too), this very cute little amusement park called Adventure City on Tuesday. It's like less than 10 minutes from my house and geared towards kids under 10. Tyler especially had a blast! We ended up not going to the fair last week- 95 is wayyyy to hot! We went on Wednesday which was the perfect day, very cool around 75 which was way better than 95. The kids had a blast, especially Tyler - he must have gone on the Goliath slide about 15 times, pretty good for a 3 1/2 year old! We stayed in the Kiddie Land area for about 5 hours which was much longer than we expected to stay. So when we left it was starting to really get crowded and the traffic home was not so nice! But we might try and go again before the fair ends.

Happy days!

Old and New

Today's card blends the new with the old. The dp is Haiku from Su and the little stamp is from a new hostess set in the new SU catty. Very simply done.

We've actually been working on the house! A shock for anyone who knows us. After over 3 years of living in this house, I am getting my bathroom. We have a master bath that has been used as storage for all this time. It needed to get finished and it's finally happening! Fingers crossed that we get it before I go back to work!

Don't forget blog candy can be found here.

If you got this far in the post you are eligible for what I am calling random Wednesday! If you would like a selection of freebie craft items please post a comment on this post and then email me with your address. I will mail out freebies to the first 3 people! Chugga chugga choo choo!

Here is another card using SU's Choo Choo stamp set - this time the colors are not quite navy and olive. I stamped the railroad track wheel on white and then sponged an olive "grass" below it. The train parts are stamped separately and then attached to the card. The dp is blueberry maine and the base cardstock is old olive. I just love the combo of blue and green. It just seems like such a natural combination.

Good Friend

This card uses the stamp set Good Friend, stamped in the new Cherry Cobbler. The dp is retired slumber party. the bird was stamped separately and cut out. Such a simple and friendly card. I really like this stamp set but I sometimes find that these larger images are difficult to know what to do with! But I think that it really works on this card.

Choo Choo!

Don't forget blog candy here. Today's card uses this so cute choo choo set from SU. I really like this stamp set but I don't use it as much as I should. The colors here are teal, ruby red and cocoa. I stamped the railroad track wheel in chocolate and then stamped my train in different colors and cut it out then used dimensionals on the card. It's always nice to have a few little boy cards on hand.

Today I took the kids to the Pretend Museum in Irvine. This place is so totally cool. If you live in the area or plan to be in the area with kids under 10 this is a super fun place to take them. It's set up like a small town with a farm, marina, doctor's office, etc - with realistic props and dress up and play opportunities. My kids had such a blast that I decided to bite the bullet and get a year membership so we can go when we want. It got really crowded and members get in an hour early. It finally felt like summer today with actual sunshine and everything! Have a happy day.

So happy and blog candy

Don't forget blog candy can be found here. Today's card uses up some leftover pieces from an SU Simply Scrappin' kit for a new baby girl. There is no stamping on this card. I did add some punches and ribbon for some snap.

Wow, we have been having some wierd weather. It's July and in the 70's and downright cool in the morning. We were supposed to have swimming lessons this morning but it was in the 60's and it was just too cold so we went to this really cool park. It's huge with like 5 different play areas including a super fast cement slide we call the Dragon slide. Tyler LOVES this slide. I got to stand on the bottom and catch Lily because she comes down that thing like a bullet! In the evening, I had a belated birthday dinner with my girlfriends at Mac Grill which was fabulous!!! Tomorrow morning I am babysitting my looney toon niece Kayla so my sister can go to the gym so my house will be bedlam!

Hey there

Don't forget blog candy here. Today's card uses SAB paper pad and this image from Fox and Friends. Very simple card that I made awhile ago when I was trying out my new stuff. I have been making TONS of new cards but I haven't taken pics of it yet but hope to soon. I have been so busy - cleaning up my stepson's old room which will soon be Lily's room, keeping up with the kids and all that jazz. I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday. We had a bbq at my sister's and fireworks, still legal in our city and the kids, Tyler especially had a blast. Today was a rest day and tomorrow we are going to Disneyland this time with the entire brood including my niece! Talk to you all soon.

This week's blog candy is SU's SAB stamp set Botanical Blooms. To win, leave a comment on this post and I will choose a winner using next Friday.

I had a very quiet birthday. My husband took the day off and we woke up late and went to breakfast. I had time to go to the gym and we got takeout. My husband went out and got me my favorite cake - fudge roll chocolate chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins! Yum!

This weekend is our 4th of July holiday and I plan on having some yummy bbq at my sister's and setting off some fireworks! Fun!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my 37th birthday! Happy birthday to me. My kids love singing Happy Birthday. I am not sure what I am doing today. I already got my birthday present from my sister, a pasta maker. We do a class a couple of months ago and now we can make our own pasta. Yeah!

Today's card uses more of the leftover pieces from the Simply Scrappin' Boy kit and the stamp set Fox and Friends. I used bits of ribbon and a matching button to tie it all together. The birds on the DP almost look like the fox's lunch. Unintended! I hope that you all have a great day and I will be back tomorrow with the blog candy winner.
