Button Hog

I've got a cute little card for you today. The paper screams spring and is retired SU. I can't remember the name of the collection since it was in my scrap pile but I used Pacific Point cardstock. The stamp is from SU and is called Button Buddies and the sentiment is from Amuse artstamps and the snout is a pink SU button.

Normally, at the beginning of the month, I do my recap of how my goals are doing and show you my Project Life but lo and behold, I am a bit behind! I will be caught up this week but I just wanted to let you guys know that I didn't forget. I am now on spring break and am doing a few things with the kids this week and today is my 7th wedding anniversary! Not to mention, baseball which has taken over my life, dance class and all the other craziness that goes on in my household. I am also planning on doing some serious cooking and doing some freezer meals because it's going to be a crazy pace on the homefront until June. Hopefully, I will have the sense to take some pics and let you see some of the process. Plus, my brother is getting married, my kids are in the wedding and I have nothing to wear! In the meantime, I did create a lot this weekend so I will be posting projects! Stay tune for the recap.

Pennant Trees

Today's card uses all SU products. The cardstock is kiwi kiss and cobbler red. I used the pennant stamp set for the trees. Today marks the beginning of all holiday and Christmas inspired posts so I hope that you are all ready.

Thinking of You

Today's card came out of having to make a sympathy card. The dp is SU and I used cobbler for he butterfly and blusing bride. The butterfly was but from an SU die and the mat for my sentiment was a die from PTI. I used my Viva Decor pen for the pearls that you see.

Party Hearty

Today I am sharing another card using Party Heart from SU. I am using up retired SU paper and ribbon and this button I think is retired too. I promised my husband I would use up some of my stash but it is slow going. I keep creating and scrapbooking and it just grows and grows. Maybe I need to stop buying too, that might help.

Today I am using up scraps mainly this bit of dp from SU, long retired. I used SU stamp and scallop punch. The cranberry cardstock was embossed with the swiss dots folder. I still have tons of scraps. What do you all do with your scraps?

New baby

It's always nice to have a few baby cards on hand and this one is super simple. The paper is SAB dp from two years ago mounted on kraft cardstock. I also used the SAB celery ribbon. The stamps are from SU and I paperpieced the little elephant with the SAB paper. I finally have had enough of this paper. It's lasted a really long time and I even might have another full paper pack hiding around somewhere. When I started spring cleaning my stash, all of this paper, I could find got donated. I'm being ruthless this year, if I can give it away to a friend or here on the blog, I will but I can't even see the bottom of the pile with all of the stuff I have piled around. I don't want to end up on hoarders so I got to either use it or it's got to go!

Pink butterflies

Today's card is one that I got in a swap, it was made with all SU products. Very pretty. Not my style, I don't do butterflys too much but that's what is cool with swaps, you get a chance to see up close other styles and other products.

Turtle Love

Wow, I must have really been trying to use up this paper! Today's card uses Sending Love specialty dp from Su, along with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder and the Love You much stamp set and Fox and Friends stamp set. I also used this fun hearts border punch from SU and rhinestone brads. I think that it's a simple layout but would work well with lots of smaller stamps, especially if you want to use a regular size envelope. That's part of the reason why I pretty much make the A2 size card - I just don't want to deal with odd sized envelopes! Have a great day.

Love thinking about you

Today's card is one that I forgot to post during my pink and red blitz of February. It doesn't technically say Valentine's day but "thinking of you" which is from SU's tiny wishes stamp set. Very simple card, I used my favorite Sending Love Specialty dp and reiding hood red, blushing bride and chocolate cardstock, pink satin ribbon and a border heart punch and an SU triple heart punch to complete this card. Some of the hearts are on dimensionals which really makes it stand out. I do so love these colors together.

Just Because

Today's card uses all SU products and is a card that I got in a swap when I went to my upline's holiday party. I think that it's very cute. More fussy than what I make. I can appreciate other people who are able to do vintagy stuff but it never looks right when I do it. More lovely as a tree

Here is another swap card that i received also using Lovely as a tree and watercoloring. It does look quite realistic. and I like the simple layout and the use of the tree as a background stamp.

Hello, Here is another card that I got in a swap. I believe that she used Lovely as a tree and 1st edition dp all from SU. She also stitched which is a nice touch. It's nice to get swaps of things that I would never do. For example, I would never buy this set, even though it's very popular and people love it. I just don't do a lot of "nature" type cards except for flowers which I do love. So you won't find me buying the realistic looking animals either. I think that is what is so great about this craft, what I don't like someone else does and vice versa and it's just nice to see what other people do ...

Party this way

This bright and festive card uses the stamp set Party this Way by SU as well as the Celebrations dp also by SU. The colors are pear and cherry cobbler. I always buy the clear stamps. Here is a little tip and maybe I am the only one that has this problem, but I cannot get those unmounted stamps from SU to stick to my block - so I put a tiny bit of monoadhesive or even atg adhesive on the back of the stamp and it then will stick to my block. When I am finished, I just rub the adhesive right off! This is probably not a revelation but for me it was pure frustration and now I can use these stamps with ease!

I have another card today that I received in a swap. All SU products were used, including the new cupcake punch and stamp set from the current mini catalog. Chunky glitter and white satin ribbon was also used. Because I have my Cricut I had to make a decision about this punch and stamp set which is so cute but I decided not to get it because I can make anysize cupcake that I want with my Cricut and plus my husband is always complaining about how much space my stuff takes up. There is only so many places I can hide it and now most of it is in plain view. Sigh...

Be yourself

HI everyone, Today's card is another one that I made at my Christmas Stampin' Up party, not my usual style but I love the simplicity all of the white space in this card. The crown is heat embossed and has a little bling. The bottom of the card is punched once with the heart border edge punch and backed with pink cardstock. The top has beautiful pink satin ribbon tied in a bow. This was a super quick card to make but I think that we need a few in our arsenal, don't you think?

Lovebirds

Today's card uses burgundy and pink and this awesome, I forgot that I had some making memories paper. The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink and the stamp set is Love You Much along with the hearts that I punched with a coordinating heart punch. I used my large scallop circle punch from SU and then used my white gel pen to add some white dots for interest. I think that it's very cute. Do any of you have any special plans for Valentine's Day? We normally don't do much but I am hoping for a dinner out with just hubby and me. NO kids that I have to feed or tell to sit up or that have to go the bathroom right when my soup comes out or who keep peeking at the people in the booth behind us....

Be Mine

You will notice a lot of this paper on the blog this month. It's out on my craft table and I am trying to use up as much as I can. The dp is retired SU and is called Sending Love speciality paper. This sheet is super glittery and pretty, I just love red. The stamp set is Season of Friendship. I really like how this stamp set can be adapted for any season or holiday. I cased the idea from I forget who but I didn't have all of the elements. So I created my banner using my Cricut - I think the basketball solutions cart but I really can't remember and I stamped the Be Mine with a retired and fairly old CTMH stamp in riding hood red. The leaves are stamped in riding hood red and I punched hearts out of riding hood red paper and put glitter on them. I wish that I had the new glitter red paper but I haven't had a chance to order it yet.
