Another Z-Fold Announcement

Don't forget to sign up for blog candy here!

Here is another example of the z-fold announcements that I made. I was able to use up some scraps which is always good. It's the same exact layout as the one I created for the Paper Trey Blog Hop, I just used different paper.

I've already mailed these out and everyone has seemed to really like them, I hope that you do too!

June Blog Hop

I am participating in PaperTrey Ink's monthly blog hop. I needed some more birth announcements and decided to use my new Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set and Bitty Blessings patterned paper as well as the lavender moon ribbon.
For this announcement, I constructed a z-fold card out of spring moss paper and I used my nestabilities for the rectangle and scallops. I used acetate over the picture of my baby girl Lily and then used a Kaiser rub on for "adorable."
The inside of the card uses summer sunrise for the scallop rectangle. I paper pieced the cute onesie and the announcement information actually is a stamp from Stampin' Up. I just love how it came out!

3 Cherries

Here is another card using SU's Tart and Tangy stamp set and the Summer Picnic Dp. I used my slit punch to create the scallops. The card looks crooked but I think it's just my unprofessional picture taking!

I have been very fortunate to receive RAKS from two of my wonderful blogger friends.

The first RAK is from Norma. Love that little zebra, thanks so much for thinking of me and my family Norma!

The second RAK is from Julie who sent me this lovely card to congratulate me and my family on our new baby. Thanks so much for thinking of us Julie!

My good friend Mary (from grad school!), sent me the cutest little outfit for Lily. She's a huge Peanuts collector so I expected something Snoopy oriented or possible U of Arizona oriented since that's where we went to school.

This is what she sent, isn't the cutest little outfit?

Shout Out to Sheet Load of Cards!

June's issue of Sheet Load of Cards is available. What I like most about Sheet Load is not just the great sketch but the cutting dimensions for either a single card of for making multiple cards. This month's issue focuses on $1 stamps so all of the samples have $1 stamps as the focal point. I don't know about you but I have totally collected all of those $1 stamps from Michaels but never use them. So I pulled them out to do this month's sketch on Sheetload using my rarely used $1 stamps.

This card is a great way of using up scraps. I used the SU tart and tangy stamp set as well as SU summer picnic paper. I also used this great striped ribbon.

Happy Cupcake Sunday!

Don't forget blog candy post here!

Hi Everyone! Happy Sunday! I have hardly had any time to stamp. I forgot how much time a newborn takes. I've been able to get a shower about every other day which isn't too bad! Anyway, I did make time to participate in Taylor's Friday cupcake challenge!

I used scrap dp and my new MFT cupcake stamp set. The brads are sparkly ones from Doodlebug. I think it looks very cute!

On a personal note, I stepped on the scale yesterday and I've lost 20 lbs! Woo hoo. I only have 2 more lbs to go for the baby weight and 10 lbs total to lose to get back to the weight I really want to be at! I fit into my regular clothes so I spent the week bagging up my maternity clothes and getting ready to get them permanently out of my house!

It's super hot here, high 90's so wherever you are, stay cool!

Thanks so much!

Today I am sharing some thank you cards that I made for gifts given to my new new baby. They are the same exact cards except I used a little bit different paper in each one. The paper is Basic Gray and the stamp set is Whipper Snapper Bundle of Joy. I cased a card found at Mish Mash. I colored in the duck using my copic markers and the wave was watercolored using CTMH breeze ink. The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink and of course I used my nestabilities in my cuttlebug.

I love how it turned out! Thanks for looking!

Last Rough and Tumble

This first card is the last of my sheetload cards using the Rough and Tumble paper packet from CTMH. The stamp is an old wood mounted car set from CTMH. I used my snap stamps for the "Beep". The second card uses the Rough and Tumble paper pack and stickers from the same collection. No stamping on this one!

Amuse-a-palooza and Blog Candy Bribe!

Hi Everyone! I hope that everyone is enjoying the auto posts. I sent a bunch of cards to post automatically not knowing when I would feel like getting back into the swing of things. First, thank you everyone for your kind words and congratulations regarding the birth of my baby daughter. She's doing well and already gained a pound. My son will be going part time to daycare starting next week so I don't know how much time I will have to create but I'm going to try and designate at least an hour each morning towards crafting.

Now onto my blog candy bribe.

It's that time of year! Amuse art stamps hosts a celebration each year with lots of prizes and challenges as they count down to their new releases. They're stamps are super cute and lend themselves to making fun and easy cards. They have a refer a friend program and that's where the bribe comes in! Register at their website HERE and then leave a comment on this post that you registered and put my name down (Cindy Vernon) as the person who referred you. On my birthday, July 1, I will use random.org to choose some blog candy winners.

One winner will win MFT's Spring Showers set, one winner will win the Basic Grey paper pad Cupcake and one winner will win the Basic Grey paper pad Sultry.

Dino-Mite

For the cards you will see the next couple of days, I used a layout from sheetload of cards. The paper is CTMH Rough and Tumble and the stamp set used here is My Favorite Things - Dino-Mite. I finally inked up this very cute set. I don't know about you but I find it's very difficult to find stamps for boy cards and this stamp set is great for that.

I stamped the image using CTMH Outdoor Denim ink and used my Cranberry marker to highlight the ribbon. Very easy and fun birthday card for a little boy!

She's Here!

After two days of contractions, Lily Kiyoko Vernon finally made her appearance on Tuesday, May 27 at 4:45 am. I arrived at the hospital at 2:45 am and she was born two hours later. Great she came fast but it also meant NO DRUGS! Plus, I had to wait a half an hour for the Dr. to come with the baby knocking at the door so to speak so she could've been born even faster!

Here she is right after being born. The nurse had just given her a bath and she did not like it one bit. She was 6 lbs, 14 oz and 19 inches long and she has tons, I mean tons of hair!

Here she is, 4 days old being held by my grandmother. You can see her crazy hair! My mom says that I had hair like that when I was born so she must take after me. Even though she is dark and Tyler is light they do look a bit alike. They seem to share the same nose and mouth and some of the pics we took when Lily was just born look like ones from when Tyler was first born. But here's a pic of the proud big brother.
He says he likes the baby and is always trying to give her kisses but ends up head butting her! So we have to keep an eye out! I hope everyone is well, I'm doing great! Talk to you all soon.

Pink Mother's Day

Here is a card that is a little late! It's a Mother's Day card that I made using Paper Trey Ink products. The cardstock as well as the ribbon and dp is all PTI. The stamps are Women of Life. I used the DP and my circle punch for the centers of the flowers.

Enjoy,
