Watercolor Flowers & Winner

I hope that you're not too sick of SAB yet. This card uses Botanical Blooms and the Delicate Dots DP. For the flowers, I opted to watercolor the flowers instead of using the 2 step stamping technique. I saw someone do it on another website, forgot the site and I really liked the look. The colors used include Pacific Blue, So Saffron and Kiwi Kiss.

The winner of the stamp set is Jennifer... Please email me with your mailing address! I loved reading about what everyone had on their wish list. I have some PTI stamps on my list as well as some shimmerz... My hair looks the same only not gray! I'll post a winner when I get a chance. Thanks for playing, more candy on Friday!

Baby Thank You's

My mom asked me to make some thank you cards for some co-workers who gave baby gifts to my sister's new baby. So here they are! I took pink pirouette cardstock and embossed it with my swiss dots cuttlebug folder. The paper is Bella Rose and the stamp set is from Paper Trey Ink. I used the onesie stamp and one of my favorite techniques paper piecing. The sentiment is also SU and I used SU punches for the circles, scallop circle and scallop edge. It's really pretty in real life. My mom was really happy with it!

Soft and blue

I just love how this card came out, so soft and pretty! I used the SAB Botanical stamp set along with the SAB DP. I just got some new spellbinders dies and I can't remember what this one is called, I think its labels 2 and it works really nicely with this. I tied off some bashful blue striped ribbon and a small sentiment and it's done!

Polka Dot Punches

Here is another card made using sale-a-bration products. The paper is delicate dots and the stamp set using polka dot punches stamp set, both are items that you can earn for free. The colors that I used are so saffron, bashful blue and kiwi kiss. It's a simple card but my stepkids are always needing thank you cards and unfussy ones work best. The 5 petal punch works perfectly with this particular stamp as well as other punches and the other stamps from the set which is great, more uses for my punches! Have a great day!

Candy bar gifts

Here are some covered chocolate bars that I made to give out to Ty and Lily's daycare teachers. the second one I made in a class using the hostess level 2 stamp set as well as this new flower set. The first one uses hollyhock CTMH cardstock and a heart stamp set that's a bit older from SU. These are the kind that the candy bar pulls up with the ribbon. The directions can be found on splitcoast.
Things have been a little stressful around here. I work at a school and there are talks of extreme budget cuts so I haven't really felt too much like stamping!

Upsy Daisy

Here is today's giveaway. A 6x6 retired paper pack by Basic Grey called Lily Kate. To win is easy. Just leave a comment on what you plan on doing this weekend by Tuesday. I will select a winner using random.org on Wednesday. If you are a subscriber you may comment twice. I actually do not have any plans except to go to Costco. My mom wants me to bring my babies over and I might go to Ann Taylor Loft, they have a special going on that if you bring your gently used pants for Goodwill, they will give you 15.00 off another pair of pants in their store.
I finally used my SU Upsy Daisy stamp set. I really like this stamp set, I just forget about it. It has some really great sentimetns too. I used SU urban paper along with the in-colors kiwi kiss and baja greeze. I stamped my daisy stamp in baja breeze and then used a dauber to stamp some kiwi kiss for the leaves and part of the flower which created (by accident) this kid of misty look. I used my nestablities for the circles. An easy card and a good one for my stash!

Another cuppie & winner

This was another sketch challenge from Taylor's second anniversary. All the stamps are from her Stamp a Sweet impression cupcake stamps collection. I also used paper from her Valentines key ingredients packs. It's a fairly simple card but I used some colors that I don't normally use so that was fun!

Stampin' Cathy you are the winner! I think that I have your mailing address but email me to make sure! Congrats and be sure for you all to come back on Friday for another fun giveaway!

Tyler's Valentines

I know this is a little late but these are the Valentines that I made for Tyler's class. I used this fun CTMH dutch blue cardstock, cranberry ribbon and CTMH School Zone designer paper. The rocket is from pun fun. I colored the rocket with my copics and inside are mini kit kats. I made 12 of these and I think they came out cute! Tyler was very excited to hand these out!

Big Shot Butterfly

Here is a card that I made in a meeting that I went to. You can't really see it but I used one of the new texture plates from the Big Shot. I have heard that spritzing your paper with alcohol first, gives you a deeper impression and dries much quicker than water. I haven't tried it yet but I will and let you know. I also used the butterfly bigz die, new button from the latte collection and parisian breeze paper, which is so pretty.

I know that Valentine's Day is over but I have a couple of cute card to show you. These were cased from Stampin' Pretty. I used Season of Friendship and my heart punch as well as this candy cane lane dp from SU. The hardware is also SU. Such a fun and easy card which I think shows the versatility of this great stamp set. I really hope that it appears in next year's catalog because I just love it!

Lily's Valentines

Here are the valetine's that I made for Lily's class. They each hold a Hershey's nugget. It's mostly for the parents because most of those kids don't have teeth yet! I used the stamp sets Olive you (retired) and Pun Fun, candy cane lane paper, pink pirouette cardstock and real red. The ribbon is some from my stash which I have a lot of so I was happy to use some of it. I colored these with my copics and I am just happy that they turned out so cute!

Blue Rose

Here is a different type of card for me. It allowed me to use a color that I haven't used too much, Pacific Point but I really like it. It's so rich and vibrant. I used the largest Spellbinders nestability scallop and created a card with it. I then used the next size for the Pacific Point DP. The leaves are kiwi kiss. The stamp set is SU's A Rose is a Rose.

I'm off today, yeah for President's Day. I, unfortunately have laundry to do! But I hope to find some time to stamp. I have been playing with my sale-a-bration goodies so I hope to have some fun things to show you with those soon. Don't forget that you can get free stamps, dp and ribbon during this time! See my posts below regarding my special discount during this time!

Also, blog candy can be found in the post below, you still have time to enter!

In the Pink & Euphoria Candy

Here is a fun card. I used a sketch from Taylor's anniversary and the Mother's Day stamp set from MFT. The two pink carstock pieces were run through the cuttlebug embossing folders. The dp is SU's rasberry tart. The pot was paperpieced and the rest of the image was colored in using copics. I think that it would make a very pretty Mother's day card from my grandmother. I just need to remember that I made this already.

This week's candy is this 6x6 Basic Grey paper pad called Euphoria. To win just leave a comment on this post by next Tuesday. If you are a subscriber you may comment twice. I will pick a winner using random.org next Wednesday!

Introducing Bitty Dots

First, don't forget my blog candy about 2 posts below! I forgot to mention that if you are a subscriber please enter twice!

Now this card was created for a Paper Trey Ink sketch challenge from Nichole Heady's blog for their second anniversary.

The title of this entry relates to PTI's new variety packs of polka dot papers. If I had to do it over again, I would have used my cuttlebug on the berry sorbet piece. However, I used the Berry Sorbet paper pack as well as the stamp set Beautiful Blooms. I think that I made it under the wire for this challenge!

Pretty in Pink

I have to tell you, I think that this is my favorite card out of all the cards that I have made in awhile. It came out so cute. This is a Stamping Bella Chichiboule stamp. I used a sketch from Taylor's second anniversary and I did a lot of paperpiecing. The paper is from Basic Grey's Bittersweet. I also used my nestabilities for the scalloped rectangles. Isn't she the cutest thing? I can't wait to get more of these stamps. They are super cute!

Have a great day!
