Berry Best Strawberries
Today's card is cute and reminds me of summer - yummy strawberries in a bowl ready to be eaten. My Lily loves strawberries!!! We are lucky that our weather is so mild that we can get decent strawberries nearly year round but the summer berries are really the sweetest. This fun bowl of berries was cut using my Simply Charmed cartridge and my super old melon stamp set from SU was used for the sentiment. The paper is Basic Grey. I had it sitting on my desk and it really worked for this card. Sometimes I don't know how to use BG paper in my projects because it can be so abstract and busy. Hope you can eat some fresh sweet strawberries soon!

Cute VW
This card is what I call a "clean Up card". You look around your super messy desk and you make a card with it. The card is 4x4 mostly because that's the size this scrap of dp would fit on. The cute VW bug and die is from PTI as is the sentiment. I have a soft spot for VW bugs, one of my good friends in high school had a silver super beetle that we used to tool around in and I have really good memories in that cute little VW.

Just Another Day in Paradise
Today, I am sharing a fun card that might end up being a retirement card. There are a lot of colleagues of mine retiring this year so I have to really start thinking about retirement cards. The card uses a new favorite cartridge of mine - Crocs Rule. I used some kraft cardstock that I put some brown ink on to make it look a bit like sand. The dp is from Bo Bunny and I was so happy to find it in my scrap pile. The sentiment is from Pink By Design. The card epitomizes what I think vacation should be. Thanks for looking today!

You Did It
My prize for my bi-weekly blog candy is this 6x6 Basic Grey paper pad called Indie Bloom. To win, please leave a comment on this post. Winner will be selected randomly and posted here on the blog on June 8.
Today, I am sharing my card for the Just A Scrappin blog challenge to make a graduation card. I saw a card very similar to this on one of my blog hopping around the web and I am not sure who to attribute it to. It's a business size card to fit in a #10 envelope. I used the cartridge Graduation and Gypsy font for my letering. The background paper is Scenic Route and it's like a graph paper. I tied some simple gingham ribbon and a button and I was done. Inside, I made a little pocket to hold money or a check which is what every graduate wants and needs!
This weekend, it's Lily's 4th birthday. For those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile will probably be surprised to learn that she is going to be 4! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I will be posting a picture of her next week so you can see how the big girl has grown! It's also a holiday weekend here in the states and we are expecting it to be a little cool here which is very strange in Southern California usually this weekend means bbq's, beaches and sunshine. Today, on the way it poured rain and we are expecting rain most of the day! It's a miniumum day for me today since I had to work late yesterday at Open House so I can get my holiday weekend started early! Hope you have a good one.

Sweet Cake
Today, I am using some new Stampin' Up products that can be found in the SU mini catalog. The stamp set is called Sweet Cake and I stamped it 3 times and cut out the parts that I wanted to get different colors. The DP is Sweet Shop and I just love it. I can see how it will be fun to use some different Cricut cuts with it. I added some cherry cobbler dazzling details (much like Stickles) to the cherry.
Recipe:
Sweet Cake Stamp Set
Sweet Shop DP
Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details
Lucky Limeade ribbon
Corner Punch
Don't forget blog candy here.

A Cherry Hello
Today's card uses Simply Charmed cartridge and I think my sentiment is from an old SU stamp set. The dp is from My Mind's Eye and this particular paper pad has cherries! My favorite! I didn't use a peachy keen face but let the Cricut cut the face out and just doodled with my white gel pen and black pen. I tied some Martha Stewart twine in my SU button and called it a day. A simple layout and card but it was really fun to use this image!

SURF
Todays card will probably end up as a Father's Day or birthday card for my dad who is a surfer. This fabulous stamp is from Surf's UP from CTMH. I used stickles on the "SURF" part and I just love how it came out. The paper is I think Bo Bunny , it was in my gigantic, humongous scrap bin. I used some twine to give it an island vibe and overall this was a super easy card to put together but I really like how it came out.

Eat Cupcakes
Today, I am using some SU dp scraps. The evenly spaced squares come from a die from PTI and the cupcakes are also PTI. It's a simple card but I have been trying to use my stamps now and again so I don't forget what I have. Just recently, I ordered a bunch of sentiment stamps online and darn if I didn't order a duplicate. I could've swore that I didn't have it but I do. It's impossible to return so it goes into my very large bag of blog giveaways! So my mistake is your gain! Unfortunately for me, I do this quite often and end up with too many duplicates! I need to use my stuff more so that it will be more familiar when I order. The good news is, that I must really like it to buy it twice!
Glennis is the winner of my last blog candy - Basic Grey paper pad. I am totally and unbelievably swamped at work so I will not be doing blog candy this week but stay tuned next week for another fun paper pad giveaway.

Welcome Baby
As I go through and try (and I stress try) to clean up the excess scraps, paper and other nonsense, I find stamps and bits and pieces of paper and ribbon. I just in some cases, make a card so I don't have to deal with it. In this case, I had found this giraffe already stickled so I made a card using this PTI dp and ribbon. Not my favorite card but who knows how long this giraffe was stamped? It's from CTMH and is probably buried deep in the crates!

G'Day Mate
Hi everyone, Today I am sharing a card made using one of my favorite new cartridges Crocs Rule. I used this cute bathing suit croc to go along with my sentiment from Crikey from Pink by Design. The dp is retired SU. I did a little bit of doodling with my white gel pen. I have to say this cartridge really layers nicely probably why I like it. It's so much more fun to use images that layer nicely!
I also have the new catalogs from SU so if you live in the US and would like one, I would be happy to ship one to you. Please email me if you would like one!

Built Tough
Today, Is my project for the Just a scrapping blog. The challenge this week is to use an older cartridge to make a little boy card. I used the Boys will be Boys cartridge and cut out this monster truck and did a massive amount of doodling. The windows are covered with stardust sticklesand the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. The size of the card is 4.25 x 4.25. I think that it's the perfect card for a little boy's birthday. Thanks so much for looking today. Please don't forget to check out my blog candy - I am offering a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad. Just leave a comment here.

Where Flowers Bloom
Today's card uses some scraps from a retired SU paper pack. It's not my favorite paper, so I ahm happy to use it up. The stamps are from MFT Who's That Girl - Garden stamp set. I paperpieced the girl's outfit and used my copics to color in the planter and flowers. I try to use neglected stamp sets when I can and so I kind of closed my eyes and picked this stamp set from my MFT collection. Thanks for looking today.

Eat dessert first
There is no Cricut on today's card. The paper is Basic Gray Kissing Booth and the sentiment and cupcake is from PTI. The label is from SU's new labels dies. I used SU pink ribbon and scallop punch and my viva decor pen.
Recipe:
PTI Stamps
Button, twine, ribbon, cardstock -SU
Scallop Punch
SU label dies
I really love the sentiment. It reminds us to loosen up and have some fun so sometimes, every so often, we have dessert first!

Put Me in the Zoo
It has been awhile since I posted a layout and here is one that I did for last year's zoo trip. The animals were cut from Noah's ABC's and Create a Critter. The DP is Wild Thing from Imaginince. I had some fun with my cricut on this one! The title is from the Dr. Seuss book Put Me in the Zoo!

Bee Happy
The last card of my set is this cute bee. All 4 cards were made using the Cricut cartridge PaperDoll Dress UP and the Gypsy Wanderings Cart for the shape. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and I used my swirls cuttlebug folder. I added some black dots to mimi the path of the bee. The ribbon is PTI and the paper is from Basic Gray. I hope that you enjoyed the set of cards, they were really a lot of fun to make. To see my inspiration for these cards be sure to visit Lauren at Lauren's Creative Mess.
