Crusin'

Hi everyone and welcome to Anything Goes Wednesday. Today's card is 4x9 1/4 and fits in a standard sized business envelope. The car is from Nifty Fifties and I think the road was cut from Everyday Paperdolls. I did a little bit of doodling with my white gel pen and my sentiment is from Pink by Design. The dp is from my stash and is retired SU. I always forget about using this size of a card for cuts that are long such as this car. It still only needs 1 stamp which is great! My Cut Search

Hi everyone, Today's Tuesday tool is all about a great website that I use all the time. I am sure that many of you use it too. I do much of my crafting in a corner of my bedroom, I also have very limited space. Most of my Cricut handbooks are not readily at my fingetips when I am creating. My Cut Search not only allows you to view entire handbooks online but you can also do a search for a specific cut. It also works great on my smart phone. Since my computer is on the other side of the room, I use my cell phone to bring up the Cricut handbooks or to search for a cut or to help me with layering a cut since the cuts sometimes show up super small on my Gypsy. You're a Hoot

Hi everyone, Welcome to Make it Monday! To make this card I used the Owl cut at 4.5 from the Wild Card 2 Cricut Cartridge. The cardstock used is Kraft, blue and yellow and the designer paper used is from My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist -Fly a Kite. The sentiment inside is stamped with Dusty Durango from Pink by Design "You're a Hoot." I forgot to attach the feet in the video but you can see it in my pics below.

Banana Bread for snacktime

Hi everyone, Welcome to Sunday Shareday! Today, I am sharing a very yummy and super easy banana bread recipe. My son calls it "cake bread."

The recipe is adapted from the Martha Stewart Baking Handbook. This is an awesome cookbook! I just wish that I had more time!

Recipe:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tb vanilla extract
about 3 medium ripe mashed bananas
1 cup nuts - optional
1/2 cup milk
non-stick cooking spray

Preheat the oven to 350. Coat 2 9x5 inch loaf pans with the spray. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, set aside.

(I use my Kitchen aid with the paddle attach. In a bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, oil until combined. Beat in flour mixture. Add vanilla, banana, nuts if using, milk and beat til just combined.

Divide batter evenly between two pans. Bake, rotate pans halfway through until toothpick comes out clean, 60-65 minutes. Tranfer to wire rack and cool 10 minutes. Remove loaves from pans and let cool completely.

I will just say that when I make this, I add nuts but my stepdaughter made the last batch and she doesn't like nuts so she left them out and honestly, my little ones liked it better without nuts. We were going to freeze the second loaf but it all got eaten up, very quickly!!! The original recipe called for buttermilk and coconut. Only my husband likes the coconut and I didn't have any buttermilk so I just used what I had (2%) milk and it was still great.

Happily Ever After

Hi everyone, Today,I am sharing the card that I gave my brother and his new wife at their wedding and I think that it came out so cute. I can't take credit for the idea but I saw this Youtube video and had to make my own Mickey and Minnie Wedding card. My card is sized at 6x6. I am not normally a fan of larger sized cards because of the postage but since I knew that I would be delivering it, it was actually really fun to make a larger card. Mickey and Minnie are sized at 5.5 and I used the top hat from Billionaire and the veil from Everyday Popups. I used the DCWV silver cardstock that I had gotten from Marshalls and the silver dp is from my stash. The sentiment is from Pink by Design.

I did a little bit of white doodling and would it be wrong for me to say that I love, love, love this card!!!

Fluttering By

Hi everyone. Today's card uses the Echo Park Springtime paper pad and my cute butterfly is from Create a critter. I used elegant edges for my mat and I do like how it came out. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and I accented my card with a simple button tied with twine.

Fun in the Sun

Hi everyone, This post is my second one of the day. No video with it as I am still suffering from this horrendous summer flu. Hack hack cough cough! Anyway, I really like doing the Fantabulous Cricut challenge each week and I was able to get it done! The challenge was to create an Olympic inspired card. I remember very vividly the 1984 Olympics, they were in L.A. and ABC had it that year and they showed absolutely every thing, every heat, every medal ceremony. I was 11 years old and my sister was 9. That summer we raced in our pool, we did medleys and attempted the butterfly and we pretended we were synchronized swimmers! So my card is inspired by that summer and how funny we must've looked trying to twirl our legs under water!

I used the Fun in the Sun Cricut Lite cartridge cut at 3.0 and Elegant Edges cut at 3.5. I did some doodling on my mat cut. The dp is from the Splash paper pad by Echo Park and the buttons are from SU.  The sentiment is from the Summer Vacation stamp set from Pink by Design.

Cricut Expression Book Giveaway

Wedding Pics!

Hi everyone, Thank you all for visiting me on Sunday Shareday.


This is the day that I share random stuff, some recipes and other fun stuff. When I went to the Doctor a couple of days ago, I found out that I had gotten a lovely summer flu. Very sad way to end my summer vacation. Anyway, last weekend, I went to a big Las Vegas wedding. My brother got married and there were about 150 guests! My daughter and niece were flower girls. Can you guess which little girl is mine?

My son was the ring bearer.

The rehearsal was kind of a mess so I was really worried and it was a really long aisle but the kids were awesome and I was a proud mama. Oh Yeah, and I am also happy about my new sister-in-law.

Paper Pups Catch a Wave

Hi everyone, This is my second post of the day so be sure to scroll down and see my other card. My brother's wedding was fabulous and the kids did great. I will be posting a picture soon. I haven't had a chance because I came down with some kind of Las Vegas bug. I have had a fever for 3 days and am actually leaving to go to the doctor in a couple of minutes but before I started feeling terrible, I made this card for the fantabulous cricut challenge which is to make a beach, water scene. An Apple a Day

Hi everyone, today's card is an easy one. I used Echo Park's For the Record paper. The apple is cut from I think Create a Critter and the circle and scallop cuts are punches. Work It

Hi everyone, welcome to Make it Monday. Today's card is all about thinking outside of the box so I am using some funky Basic Grey paper called Hello Luscious and the Forever Young Cricut cartridge. My cut is 3.75 inches and the layers are all cut using the BG paper for her clothes. My white cardbase is an A2 card and the Grey cardstock is at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The green piece is also from BG and cut with Elegant Edges at 3.95. The sentiment "work it" is from the Forever Young Cart also and is cut at 1 inch. Croc Smile

HI everyone! Thanks for visiting me today on Anything Goes Wednesday. Today, I used my Crocs Rule Lite cartridge, which I love. My crocodile is a simple cut with a black layer, green layer and a red heart which I stickled. I put him on this SU retired paper. The paper was part of a scrappin kit. The ribbon is marina mist and the buttons are also SU. I think that my sentiment is from Pink by Design.
