Wild About You
Isn't this the cutest card? I can't take credit for it. It's a case from someone on Splitcoast which I can't remember who it was! I think the stamp set is Wild About You from SU. Parts of the animals are layered for dimension. The cardstock is Bashful Blue and riding hood red, the dp is retired Washington Apple. I used my nestabilities and also did some piercing. I think the card is just darling! I hope that everyone has a great day. I start work tomorrow - just part of the day. As a librarian, I have to work extra days. School doesn't actually start until September 9!

Today's blog candy is this set of 12 Prismacolor pencils. To win just leave a comment on this post. If you are a subscriber you may leave 2 comments. I will select a winner using Random.org on Wednesday.
Here is another card that utilizes different patterns of a designer paper pack, in this card I am using razzleberry lemonade. The stamp is from Simple Friendship. I used in-colors razzleberry, melon mambo and crushed curry. It's a fun and easy card that showcases dp and in this case uses some fun in-colors!

Vibrant Party Hearty
I am still using what I have! This card also uses the SU Party Hearty stamp set and the Washington Apple dp. The cardstock is riding hood red and the ribbon is tangerine tango. The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy. Such a simple card but the colors are so vibrant! It feels good to use this Party Hearty stamp set with different colors, it gives it a completely different look. Hard to believe that I had gotten this stamp set last fall and it took me almost a year to use it! I challenge you all to use a stamp set, paper pack or product that you bought and have never used! Believe me you will feel a lot better about having spent the money if you use it!
Todays winner is Linda Peterson...congrats.

Top Note Party Hearty
Don't forget blog candy can be found here. Hello everyone. Today's card uses the Party Hearty stamp set again as well as the Washington Apple dp (I think!), it was a scrap that I used my top note die with. I love this die! I kind of had forgotten about it but I think its fabulous and it works in the cuttlebug. I still use my cuttlebug a lot, even though I have the Big Shot! The yellow strip is my own ric rak using the scallop punch. I think that if I did this card again, I would use an embossing folder for the olive cardstock, it seems to need something. Anyway, still a great male or female card!

Petal Pizzazz in-color style
Don't forget blog candy can be found here. Here is card that I made using a stamp set that I love but have only used like once. It's Petal Pizzazz. I used in-colors for this fun card - melon mambo and last year's kiwi kiss. The flowers were stamped and then cut out, the lighter flower was stamped twice without reinking and the second lighter flower was the one I cut out. The flower is held together by a rhinestone brad. The paper is razzleberry lemonade. I think it's a simple but fun card.

It's Your Day Blog Candy
Today's giveaway is this fabulous CTMH acrylix stamp of the month set called It's Your Day. To win just leave a comment on this post. Subscribers may leave leave 2 comments. I will select a winner using random.org next Wednesday.
By the time you read this, I will most likely be at work for a stinkin' curriculum meeting. I'm getting paid for it but I really wish that I didn't have to go. Robert is off today so I'm missing spending time with him and poor Tyler has some kind of stomach thing - he threw up like 3 times yesterday and I was doing laundry every second! Hopefully, it's just a 24 hour thing! Have a great weekend!

More B is For...
Today's card features much of the same elements as my last card. I used Su' Party Hearty stamp set as well as the Junior Varsity dp. The main image is layered on scalloped die cuts and the presents are from the set too. I just cut them out and used dimensionals to pop them out a bit.
I think my goals with a lot of these cards lately is to eliminate some of the guilt in indulging in my hobby by using what I have and trying to use the same elements with different layouts or use the same layouts but with the different dp and cardstock. I've been trying to use my dp too instead of hoarding it because guess what I can always by more beautiful dp and now I've made some room for it!

B is for...
Here is a fun birthday card. I think that it would be great for a man or a woman. I used my Party Hearty stamp set from SU. The dp is retired, I think it's called Junior Varsity. The ribbon is striped olive and the colors are riding hood red and bashful blue. I think it's a fun layout. I hope you like it.

Summer Drinks
This card is very simliar to the one from the other day. It uses MFT's Girls NIght Out along with Pink Flamingo DP. I paperpieced most of the stamped image. It seems very summery to me.
Don't forget blog candy in the post below.
Have a great day!

Margaritas anyone? and MFT Blog Candy
This week's giveaway is this MFT stamp set called Cupcakes Anyone? To win just leave a comment on this post by Tuesday. I will select a winner using random.org on Wednesday. Subscribers may post a second comment!
I made this card for an MFT sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The card uses the famed Pink Flamingo DP and the MFT stamp set Girls Night Out. I love how the margarita glass came out. I stamped it and then colored it with a red copic. I then used my sakura glue pen around the rim and dipped it in SU microbeads. Once it had dried, I then went over the entire "drink" with liquid glass. Makes me want to go out and have a margarita! Strawberry of course!

Top Note Wings of Friendship
This card used the current level II hostess set Wings of Friendship. I used the in-colors razzleberry, crushed curry and last year's kiwi kiss. I stamped the entire stamp with kiwi kiss and then stamped again in the other two colors and cut the flowers and bird out and placed them over the kiwi kiss image. I used the top note die, in-color ribbon, razzleberry lemonade dp and a crushed curry cardstock base. I love how this card came out. So pretty.
I don't think that I told you all how busy my weeks have been lately. I've been doing Gymboree 2 times a week with Lily and I pick Tyler up from pre-school every day at 12:30, running errands, occasionally babysitting my 6 month old niece, taking my stepson to the orthodontist, taking the kids to the dr...everyweek it's something! My grandma's birthday was the 5th so my sister and I took her to breakfast yesterday. She turned 81!
Our garage clean up was an all day affair we are still working on it but it looks so much better. I can't wait until we can drywall and put up some organization. In the meantime I can now open the fridge we have in there all the way instead of halfway and then twisting the top half of my body to get something out and I have more than 12 inches of space to move around in front of my washer and dryer!
The winner today is scrappingnana! Let me know your addy so I can get your prize out to you! I will have another weekly giveaway on Friday!

Tangerine Party
For this card I used my Party Hearty set. The cupcake is stamped twice. The "icing" was stamped in tangerine and cut out and popped on dimensionals on the riding hood red liner. The paper is washington apple. The card was then layered on a kraft cardstock base.

Urban Garden!
Today's card uses Urban Garden DP and the Simple Friendship stamp set. I used kiwi kiss and baja breeze. I love this simple embellishment that I have been using a lot on my cards. It's a button with a piece of twine or hemp pulled through the holes and a tiny snip of ribbon is tied on. What a cute and economical way to make your own embellishments. This idea is from Michelle Wooderson who is one of my favorite blog stampers! If you haven't visited her site, it's totally fabulous.

In the Stars
Would it be wrong to say that I love how this card came out? First of all, I used in-colors razzleberry lemonade, crushed curry and the Razzleberry lemonade dp. I took copy paper and layered 12 squares of dp in a pattern that I liked. I then cut it out with my top note die and voila! a super cool quilt card. The razzleberry cardstock has been embossed using a brand new stars folder for the cuttlebug. I bought them all on HSN a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't help it, they were a great price. The stars are from a retired In the Stars stamp set. Another great technique for using up dp in a creative way!

In-Color Sympathy
Don't forget the Basic Grey blog candy on the post below!
Today's card uses a layout from one of my Pink Flamingo cards. It really is a nice way to showcase some pretty designer paper. I used in-colors for this color: crushed curry, razzleberry and razzleberry lemonade designer paper and crushed curry ribbon. I wasn't sure that I liked these colors or this paper at all but I really like how this card came out. I used my circle and scallop punches. The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes and the flower stamp is from sweetest stems. A very simple but pretty card. Sympathy cards should be very simple. Enjoy!
