Cutting Instructions for Gift Card

Here is some cutting and scoring information for the purse giftcard. Credit for this goes to my SU demonstrator Terri.

Cut your base cardstock, in this case vanilla, 4x12 and score at 3 3/8, 4 5/8, 5 7/8 and 9 3/8

Also, cut out of vanilla:

1 1/2 x 3 1/2 , 2 7/8 x 3 1/2 and 2 x 4 1/2 - scored at 1/4 on each end.

Choose a coordinating cardstock to your dp and cut 2 pieces: 3 1/8 x 3 3/4 and 1 5/8 x 4.
Cut 2 pieces of DP, 2 1/4 x 3 3/4 scored at 1 1/8, and 1 1/4 x 3 3/4

Cut a different piece of DP, 1 3/4 x 3 3/4
The scored DP is adhered to the mountain fold. The small scored vanilla piece is adhered right above the mountain fold. Place red line tape on the scored parts and the bottom of the vanilla piece so that it creates a pocket. The single DP piece is adhered on top of the vanilla piece and layered with a smaller vanilla piece.

The larger coordinating cardstock, in this case, red is adhered to the bottom of the vanilla base and a vanilla piece is adhered on top.

When folded, the front of the purse has the other piece of cardstock and dp layered on top. The purse is then decorated as shown below.

The sentiment stamps are from Paper Trey Ink and the stocking is from Gina K and is paperpieced.

To finish, the front is kept closed with velcro and the back of the purse is hole punched with the 1/8 hold punch and a 10 inch piece of ribbon is run through and tied off from the inside.

I'm a secret elf

I signed up to be a secret elf here. It was really fun to make up a package for my gal. I made a couple of altered items to go in her package.

I got this idea from Lauren over at My Time. Target sells a lot of very nice gift ideas that can be altered and personalized. This is Sm'ores pretzel rods and I just altered the original can it came in by covering it with Figgy Pudding Basic Grey. I stamped on a white panel the crab from the Sandy Claws stamp set by Gina K Designs. I tied the white panel around the can using red grosgrain ribbon.

I also decorated the top of the can very simply. I cut cranberry cardstock using my cuttlebug and scalloped nestabilities and circle was cut with the circle nestabilities. I stamped very simply using Punchy Words and Sandy Claws all from Gina K.

I decorated this tin using Paper Trey Ink. The colors are Olive and Cranberry. The paper I used was Figgy Pudding Basic Grey.

I hope that my Secret Elf enjoys her package!

Here are the treats that I received my secret elf Marla. Thank you Marla. I appreciate your lovely package!

I also got a wonderful RAK with some images but I will have to post it later because I forgot to take a picture of it. Hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Got snow?

I got this stamp set called Got Snow from Gina K Designs. I really like it even though it doesn't snow ever where I live and I don't even like the snow or the cold. I've only actually seen snow once in my entire life. Isn't that nuts? My husband threatens, I mean, says that we're going to Big Bear this February but I hope he forgets.

I used my CTMH crystal blue textured paper and cuttlebugged it with my snowflake embossing folder. I used colored pencils and Gamsol and the hardware is from WRMK. Enjoy! Pin It Now!

At the last minute...

I was able to post something right before the end of the weekend. Just busy, busy, trying to prepare for Thanksgiving! Still so much to do! Our house is in a remodel that will never be done but we're trying to make it presentable by Thursday.

I made this card for a co-worker's birthday. A quickie. I used Beate's weekend sketch. The paper is from my stash, the ribbon is Garden Green from CTMH and the stamp is from Gina K Designs Make a Wish stamp set. I just ordered a bunch of new stamps from her and they came in the cutest tins and I was selected to receive some unmounted images in my order. How fun! I only got 3 more tins done this weekend. Ugh! I better start working double time. On a happier note, got a tiny bit of X-mas shopping done. It just feels good to have finally gotten started! Pin It Now!

Who wants to win...

some Heart Candy? I have a very cool CTMH acrylix stamp set called Rustic Flowers to give away. To win, just leave a comment on this post by Tuesday, October 16 and I will have random.org pick a winner on Wednesday morning. Remember to check back and see if you've won!

I decided to do some sketch challenges. Well, I got one done at least. Angel at Angelosity is having some sketch challenges to celebrate her birthday and maybe win some blog candy.

This is a 3x6 card and I used my Gina K Make A Wish stamp set. The original sketch had staples instead of the ribbon. I'm not sure if I really like this but it's something a little bit different. I colored in with my copics and I used faux stitching with my SU stamp set All in a Row. Pin It Now!
