Olive You

Don't forget blog candy below! Here is another spring cleaning card. I bought this stamp set on Ebay last year and never used it. I think the set is called Olive You. I paper pieced the olive - colors are olive and kraft. Such a simple card but fun too! I only have 3 more days until spring break, I can't wait!!!

Talk to you all soon ...

Happy Bird Day Fun

Today's card uses another image from Pun Fun. It's amazing what you can come up when you use stamps that you haven't seen in awhile. This fun card also uses the Sale-a-bration paper pad (last day to buy stuff to qualify to get this is March 31). I also used olive satin ribbon and crushed curry cardstock. I stamped the sentiment crooked so I covered it up with a little dp and the sentiment stamped again. I used pop dots to prop it up a bit. I also used SU buttons that have been in my stash for awhile! Won't you join me? Spring clean - use a stamp, paper or other embellishments that you bought and never or rarely used and link to it when leaving a comment. I will give you some love and send you a special RAK for playing!

don't forget my weekly blog candy is a couple of posts below. There is still time! I draw for a winner tomorrow!

Flopsey Love

Today's card uses this super cute Easter Flopsey from MFT (My Favorite Things). I paperpieced the basket and Flopsey with Sending Love specialty paper from SU. The background uses the same DP and pink satin ribbon. I topped it off with a red corduroy button and this little guy is ready to hippity hop! This is another spring cleaning card! It's been great to use stamps that haven't seen the light of day in awhile or even ever. I have a couple of sets already that are going into my blog candy pile! So my cleaning could be your gain!

Don't forget that I have blog candy below! You have until Friday to enter and then I will be posting another giveaway. Do you have stamps, paper or other supplies that you have rarely if ever used? Get them out and use them. Leave a comment on any post with a link to your creation so I can give you some love and will mail you a surprise! Just a word to those who I have emailed about sending a RAK. I will be mailing them on April 5. I know two weeks away but it will be easier for me because I"ll be on spring break and I can do a big mailing all at once, especially since I'm mailing quite a big abroad!

The weather here is beautiful except for a few earthquakes of course. We had another one this morning, but I didn't feel a thing. I'm a jaded SoCal lifer who won't get up unless the earthquake throws me out of bed! Have a great day!

More Fun and Fast Notes

HI everybody! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend. I went to an outlet mall with my sister yesterday. I had to buy Lily an Easter dress. She's going to a Gymboree Easter party with my niece. Today, we went to breakfast and Robert has to fix his closet. Long story but we got a brand new HD 40 in TV. All of our TV's are way old school so this is a big step for us. Anyway, we had DirectTV come out to set up the HD and they had to cut into Robert's closet so now he has to patch it up and put everything back the way it was. That was a month ago! In the meantime, everything that was in his closet was on a chair and in laundry baskets all over the room. So I'm very grateful that he's finally getting it done!

Today's card is another spring cleaning card! I used Fun and Fast notes again, this time colored with copics. I forget the name of the dp but it's SU and retired. I hardly used it so it felt good! Same with the corduroy kiwi kiss brad! I used a cardstock base and I think that it looks very fun and festive! Don't forget, it's time to sort through all of your crafting stuff and create with stamps you bought and never/hardly used and paper and embellishments you are hoarding. Leave a comment with a link so that I can leave you some love and possibly a present!

Flowers Blog Candy & thank you bird

Last week's winner is Kathy! This week's special blog candy is this lovely flower wood set from CTMH fomerly known as DOTS. To win just leave a comment on this post.
Today's spring cleaning card uses Fun and Fast notes stamp set from SU. I think that I used this set once and made a couple of cards with it. I think that I like this set and will probably try and use it again once I've made the rounds with all of the stamps that I need to use. I also used some more of my sale-a-bration paper from last year which is not really a spring cleaning item because I've been using it all along. I paper pieced my cutie bird and used coordinating ribbon and brads.
Here is a tip that I am sure you all know about...but when you get your stamp sets, its' ok to cut the sentiment off to make it a separate stamp. For example this stamp had the stamp and sentiment all in one but I carefully cut the sentiment and mounted it on the side so now I can use the sentiment wherever I want and stamp it in whatever color I want.
Remember, if you post a creation on your blog or splitcoast or anywhere else that I can see, leave a comment so that I can visit your site. I will leave a comment and possible a present too! It's spring cleaning, won't you join me in dusting off you little or never used stamps and/or supplies?

Don't put all you eggs in 1 basket

Hi everyone! Today's spring cleaning card uses up some more of last year's sale-a-bration paper that I haven't used in awhile and this MFT Flopsey. I can't take credit for the paper piecing. My friend Melissa sent me a similar card paper piecing her Flopsey with this same paper. I really like how it came out. I colored in the eggs with my copics. I used my corner and border SU punches with a button that I found in the bottom of my button jar. I just loves him!

Spring cleaning is a great excuse to stamp! so get out those stamps or paper you've only used once or twice or (gasp!) never! Leave me a link and I will visit your blog and comment and maybe you will win a special surprise from me!

Don't forget blog candy here.

Crazy stressful days here! My assistant has been out for over a week. Yesterday we had a power outage all day so I worked in the dark. My husband rolled over and pulled some kind of muscle or something in the middle of the night and there was an earthquake last night too! My assistant is still out today, I have to proctor a test, teach a class and prepare for our tech guy who is coming tomorrow to help me design a video tutorial for our automation system. And it's only Tuesday!

SWEET!

Spring cleaning continues! Here is another card made with a stamp set I've never used from MFT. I think it's called Lovin' From the Oven and paper from my stash that I bought when my LSS was going out of business! I paperpieced her clothes and stamped "sweet" on her bowl. It's really fun trying to use product that I have bought and had to have but never used. Won't you join me? Make a project and comment with a link on any post and I will visit your site (usually during the week) and leave a comment. Random commentors will win little prizes!

Also, don't forget my regular blog candy is listed below!

Today, we bought a new rug for our front room. It was on sale and I bummed that I forgot my coupon. Well, the super sales girl rang up my rug, it was 5.00 less than I thought and not only did she give me 20 percent off but she gave me the discount on my whole order! Woo Hoo! Very exciting!

Blog Candy & Paper piecing fun

Here is my first "spring cleaning" post. I just love how this card came out. I used the MFT Birthday Girl stamp set and the Basic Gray Lemonade paper pad. Won't you all join me in using your stash? Leave a comment on any post with a link to a creation using something that you have never used before, or only once...it could be a stamp set, paper and embellishment - I will visit your site and leave a comment and random commenters will win a small surprise!
This week's blog candy is this cool stamps set from the defunct Inque Boutique. To win just leave a comment on this post.

Spring cleaning challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's card is also from PTI's 3rd year anniversary celebration. I used a digital stamp. The paper and ribbon is all SU. The paper being from sale-a-bration 6x6 paper pad which is really fun. The wide ribbon is rose red. I used my nestabilities for the scallop circle and used my white gel pen for some dots.

I know in some parts of the country it may not feel like it but spring is here! You know that means spring cleaning! I am challenging all of my blog readers to dust off the scrap supplies. You know the ones that you bought and used once, maybe not at all! I mean stamps, paper, embellishments, tools...all of it. If you find you don't like it give it away or trade with a friend... You might find some new inspiration. I've already started and hope to show some of my spring cleaning creations soon. they will be from all different makers but remember when you see something that inspires you, you can create it using what you have in your own stash!

Don't forget regular blog candy below. But from now until June 30, create a spring cleaning creation and comment on any post with a link to your creation. I will visit each one and leave a comment and random posters will win little prizes from me - a handstamped card and maybe a stamp or ribbon or other embellishments! So create and maybe win a special surprise!

Best wishes

I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. Today's card showcases dp. It's retired SU. I used an Oval stamp set made to go with the oval punch. I didn't have a scallop oval punch that fit so I used too small scallop ovals to create the illusion of one large oval scallop. The button is actually one of those extra buttons that you sometimes get with a shirt or jacket! The cardstock base is kraft.

Don't forget blog candy below! I'm in the process of a "spring cleaning" (not what you think!) and will be sharing with the blog soon! Have a great week.

Rock Star

Today's card was made when PTI had their anniversary celebration. All of the stamps are from PTI. The ribbon is SU and I think the color is Aqua Mist. Very easy card! We are expecting rain today. Bummer. We were hoping to go go Karting today. It will be good for my garden though. I actually have stuff growing! Amazing to someone who has never kept a house plant alive! Have a good weekend.

Day of the student

Today's card is so cute. I used my new favorite stamp set Fox and Friends. The paper is from the sweet pea paper pack and my ribbon is from last year's sale-a-bration. I also used this super cute punch which you can get from sale-a-bration. Such a simple card but so fun.

Today in California it's Day of the student to try and let everyone know the state of the school's here in California. So we all wore black and made signs which we held before school. I don't know of any other profession that has to justify their existence every year and make signs and stand on a corner!

I hope that you have a good day and honk if you see a teacher holding a sign!

Roar like a lion

Today's card uses some more new products from SU. The paper is Sweet Pea from the mini catalog and the stamp is from Fox and Friends. I stamped the lion 3 times with different color ink and then cut the pieces out and used dimensionals to pop him out. I think that he came out cute.

I haven't been doing as much stamping lately as I have been sorting my pictures and working on getting them organized. This year I will make a dent in my scrapbooking projects. Maybe saying it and putting it in print will make it happen! I think the idea that Spring is approaching is making me feel more conscious of the extreme scrapbooking and photo clutter I have going on. Do any of you have projects that you just can't get a handle on or clutter that you just can't get organized?
