Paperbag Album

Here is the paperbag album that I made for my mom for Christmas. All of the paper came from the DCWV Fall stack. The lettering is from my Cricut and the felt leaves are from the Target Dollar Spot.

I included some inside pages and one of the pockets. I used various embellishments that I had from my stash and I used my favorite punch - SU's tab punch.
I think it came out very cute and my mom loved it!

Last winner of the year!

But first, I wanted to say that I enjoyed reading what everyone will be eating this holiday season. Many people were eating some very different and fun things. I will be having a traditional turkey dinner cooked by my mom. She makes a family recipe stuffing that is just so yummy, it's a chestnut stuffing and absolutely delicious. My sister is making jello cheesecake for dessert and if I can borrow a bundt pan, I will be making a chocolate cake with a white icing called Waldorf (my favorite icing!)

I've decided to take a little break from candy but will be back 1/4/08 with more candy so be sure to check back. I will still be posting, but just a little sporatically as I spend time with my family.

Now, the last winner of the year is DebbieDee - Please email me your information!

If I don't hear from you all until the New Year, I hope that you all have a happy, safe and fun holiday! Pin It Now!

Nursery Bash

Here are a couple of very cute baby cards using CTMH's Nursery Bash. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this set but now I just love it!

Both cards are basically the same except for the color scheme. I used all CTMH papers and inks except I colored the giraffes using my copics!

Don't forget about the blog candy. I pull a name on Wednesday. Also, I think that this is probably my last candy of 2007, but don't worry, I'll be back in 2008 with more candy. I just need a mini vacation from it....

Stained Glass and Frosty

I signed up for a challenge months ago. The challenge was to take a stamp, create a card with it and then send it to the next person on the list. The stamp is not my usual style by it was fun to use something different.

I used my DCWV Christmas stack. The sentiment is Michaels 1.00 stamp.

I added a sentiment to my Frosty card so it looks finished. I finally finished these cards and my Christmas cards are now done. Yeah!

Busy Busy and the winners

I had a lot of fun reading about what everyone is up to. Mostly everyone is busy, busy like me. I envy those who got their Christmas baking done or at least underway. This weekend, I will have to do some baking since I'm planning on giving the principals some goodies. Some are still working on Christmas cards. I'm still finishing that up as well. Almost done! I've made 25 nugget tins and I have 25 that just need the finishing touches. Then my stepdaughter told me she wants to give out some, so apparently I have to make about 15 more! I still have to wrap my gifts and I have a couple of giftcards that I need to package up. I'll show a pic of these when I'm done because I think they are going to be super cute. I have a couple of cards that I hope to finish up tonight and post tomorrow.

Now on to the winners. The winner of the ornament pack is #2 Shelby. The winner of the surprise candy is #21 tracy.h. Please email me by Saturday midnight to claim your prizes. I will do my best to get your prizes out in a timely manner. But just remember that the post offices are nuts now! I will post a pic of the surprise candy hopefully also tomorrow.

Please come back on Friday for more Heart Candy! Cheers! Pin It Now!

I love this Tilda!

I don't know if you all have seen these super cute stamps from a company called Magnolia Stamps. I think it's a Norwegian company? Anyway, I had won some blog candy months ago at Sillybirds Stamping Diary. I received a couple of images and just got around to using one.

Isn't she just darling. This is a very simple layout. I used paper from my DCWV mat stack. I colored her in with copics, tied off with CTMH grosgrain ribbon and snowflake bling from some other candy I had won. Since I didn't have the original stamp, it was hard to paper piece her dress but I thought the blue by itself was so plain so I used my Bella Baubles to add some dimension to her dress. I used gold stickles on her hat.

I would love more images from this company! I plan on buying some with my income tax money but I can't wait. Is there anyone who will RAK me? I'm willing to trade. Just email me ....

I also received this super cute RAK from Pegg who also sent me some images that I did not have including the very cute Stampendous stamp she used on this card. I just love the colors and the stamp is darling. Thank you so much Pegg from brightening up my mail box!

Don't forget there is still time to sign up for blog candy!

I'm a secret elf

I signed up to be a secret elf here. It was really fun to make up a package for my gal. I made a couple of altered items to go in her package.

I got this idea from Lauren over at My Time. Target sells a lot of very nice gift ideas that can be altered and personalized. This is Sm'ores pretzel rods and I just altered the original can it came in by covering it with Figgy Pudding Basic Grey. I stamped on a white panel the crab from the Sandy Claws stamp set by Gina K Designs. I tied the white panel around the can using red grosgrain ribbon.

I also decorated the top of the can very simply. I cut cranberry cardstock using my cuttlebug and scalloped nestabilities and circle was cut with the circle nestabilities. I stamped very simply using Punchy Words and Sandy Claws all from Gina K.

I decorated this tin using Paper Trey Ink. The colors are Olive and Cranberry. The paper I used was Figgy Pudding Basic Grey.

I hope that my Secret Elf enjoys her package!

Here are the treats that I received my secret elf Marla. Thank you Marla. I appreciate your lovely package!

I also got a wonderful RAK with some images but I will have to post it later because I forgot to take a picture of it. Hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Hello everyone, this is what you will win (sorry the picture is so small), but it's Basic Grey undressed chipboard ornaments. One winner will win this and another winner will win a surprise Christmas present from me that will include some chipboard ornaments as well as paper, stamps and an empty nugget tin to decorate and probably some other surprises as well, trust me it will be worth it to win! All of my candy is always sweet!

So you have two chances to win something fun. All you have to do is leave me a comment, anything going on in your neck of the woods?, having trouble finding that WII, already digging into the Christmas cookies? Just leave me a comment on how you're doing. I like to know how all of my friends in blogland are doing.

I sent out my first batch of Christmas cards. These are the holiday photo cards that I sent to my family and friends with Tyler's Christmas picture. I am still working on making my Christmas cards for my co-workers and then I attach a homemade Christmas card to presents to friends and family.

If you have read this far...then I would love to send a handmade Christmas card to you. I will send a card to the first 12 people who comment on this blog candy post and THEN send me an email with their addy. Got snow?

I got this stamp set called Got Snow from Gina K Designs. I really like it even though it doesn't snow ever where I live and I don't even like the snow or the cold. I've only actually seen snow once in my entire life. Isn't that nuts? My husband threatens, I mean, says that we're going to Big Bear this February but I hope he forgets.

I used my CTMH crystal blue textured paper and cuttlebugged it with my snowflake embossing folder. I used colored pencils and Gamsol and the hardware is from WRMK. Enjoy! Pin It Now!

This week's winner

First, thank you all for playing. I really enjoyed reading everyone's memories of Disneyland. The Electrical Parade can still be found in the summer at California Adventure. It's still pretty cool. Figgy Pudding has been claimed so the winner of the Gypsy paper is
#25 Tammy-SCS-feathers&ink

Tammy please comment on this post and email me by Saturday midnight. By commenting, I know that if something happened to your email to me you are still claiming your prize and I will hold it for you. My email is right under my picture.

Be sure to check back on Friday for more Heart candy. I'm giving away some more Basic Grey, but it's not paper, you can use it for Christmas and it's very cool, you won't want to miss it. Pin It Now!

Hula Time

Here is another version of my surf card, except I used this Hula girl stamp from CTMH. I like how this one came out but I do like my surfing Fella better. I made this a "Thinking of You" card so that I can use it for any occasion. I always need cards for men and never seem to make any.

Don't forget! I will use random.org to pick the Heart Candy tomorrow! Pin It Now!

A Frosty Holiday

It has been a long while since I've used this Frosty stamp set by SU but I still just love it. Frosty is a nice round snowman which I prefer over some of the skinny snowmen in the SU catalog.

I used this beautiful crystal blue textured cardstock by CTMH along with black and white daisy. I embossed with my snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder, tied off with a white grosgrain ribbon from my stash. I used my copics to color him in, just outlining Frosty with cool grey and I used my Stardust Sakura gelly roll pen to outline the snow and make him sparkle. I love how he turned out and will be putting this card on all of the gifts that I send to friends and family.

Don't forget to post a comment on the post below for heart candy!
