FCCB Challenge #240 Anything But a Card

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #240 Anything But a Card

This Weeks Sponsor

~This Weeks Challenge~
Create any project, that is not a card!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Here is my project:

So sorry that this picture is not the best but I was under two deadlines to meet the FCCB deadline and my 25 days of Christmas deadline. Hopefully, I can keep posting projects. Today's project is the countdown calendar that I am using with my kids this year. It's a wood calendar from SaCrafters and I love it. I painted it and used Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium. The chimney, stockings, ornaments and trees, lamp and sentiment are also from Sa Crafters. I love the chimney. I used my MFT brick stencil and paste and then painted over it with white gesso. Once that all dried, I sprayed a slate colored Prima Bloom spray over it and it came out great.

The only problem that I had was with the boxes. They were cut from heavy chipboard and no matter what I did, I couldn't fold it small enough to fit in the boxes. I couldn't imagine struggling with 24 of these so I cut the boxes with my Artiste cartridge. Inside the boxes are mint Hershey kisses.

I had the busiest weekend ever and am still recovering. We went to a special Gingerbread event, had ballet and basketball practice and game, tumbling, a birthday party and a Christmas show that the kids sang in all in one weekend! Great fun but kind of glad to be at work to rest. Ha! That's not true because I have so much clean up and end of the semester stuff to do but at least it's reasonably quiet most of the day.

Anyway, visit me tomorrow when I will (hopefully) have another project to share with you all.

Love Bear

Hi everyone,

Today, I am sharing such a fun card. Maybe you have seen bloggers and crafters who have designed "SVG" like cuts using nothing but Cricut cartridges. Well, on one of the groups I belong to on Facebook, a gal gave some instructions on how to make a cute bear. It mostly used the Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges and took awhile to cut and assemble everything but I just love how it came out.

I used some paper from Bo Bunny I have had for awhile. The stamp is from Jaded Blossom. I did some doodling and added a little stickles as well as some hearts that I had leftover from another project.

It just goes to show that you can still do a lot of fun things with your Cricut!

Be sure to watch the video to get the recipe and see how it all gets put together.

Thanks so much for visiting.

You make my heart happy

Hi everyone,
I am back with a card that I made to meet a couple of challenges. First at MFT, they have a sketch challenge and a color challenge. The colors to use are pink, white and black. I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where we have been asked to use embossing. For this card, I used the swiss dots embossing folder. The cuts used are from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.

The sentiment is from MFT. I really like how it came out! I am so glad that we are having a three day weekend. It was a tough week at work and you could really smell the smoke from the wildfire that was burning not too far away from where I work. Luckily, my home is quite a distance from there, so the air is much clearer here. I hope that we get some cooler weather soon and we could really use some rain because things are getting very dry here and we could see more fires. It was close to 90 degrees where I work so it really doesn't feel much like winter.

I hope that you all have a good weekend!
