Blog Candy and Hot Dog Summer Fun

Hi everyone! Happy Friday. First of all, I had an absolute blast in Las Vegas. I gambled non-stop, shopped and ate! Pai-Gow is my game and I did fairly well which kept me afloat when I played various slots for fun. I have blog candy to share with you all to celebrate my upcoming birthday and my 4th year blogging. Included, are two large stamp sets from POsh - Travel and Journaling frames, 9 packs of Thickers, a couple have been slightly used but most are completely new and unused and a 4.5x6 paper pad by SEI called Jolie Chocolat. To win, please leave a comment on this post, and it would be nice if you were a follower but it's not required. I will select a winner using random.org on Friday, July 13.

I also have a card for you which seems perfect for summertime. My cute hotdog is from Simply Charmed and is cut at 2.5. I used a cream, red and yellow cardstock to cut my hotdog and Simple Sallies Peachy Keen stamps for the cute face. The cardstock is all from my scrap bin and I believe that it's SU dp. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and I used some cute yellow buttons and gingham ribbon to finish off my cute card. I plan on entering this card in two challenges: Fantabulous Cricut - the challenge is bbq and Cardz TV - the challenge is summer fun and as just cleaned my grill and grilled up some hotdogs for my kiddies, I think my card qualifies! Thanks for checking me out and have a great weekend.

Wedding Wishes

Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing my challenge for Just-a-scrappin. The challenge is to make a wedding project. I do have weddings on the brain, since my brother is getting married in a month. I was so happy to find this gorgeous wedding paper in my stash. I had bought it when a scrapbooking store was going out of business. My cake is cut from the Everday Pop Up cartridge. I cut it at 4.0 inches. I used the cardstock colors in pink, black and white. I used my Viva Decor pen to accent my cake and tied a pink satin ribbon from SU to finish off the front of the card. The inside seemed so plain to me so I cut a piece of the same dp and pink cardstock. The corners are punched with the scallop tool from We R Memory Keepers and the sentiment is from Pink by Design. I just love how it came out. Be sure to visit the Just-a-scrappin blog to see what the rest of the DT did and to join the challenge.

Be sure to check me out tomorrow because I plan on having a very nice blog candy to celebrate my 39th birthday and my 4 year blogoversary!

When Life gives you lemons

Today's card uses the cartridge Just Because cards. The dp is from my stash. The lemons has been embossed with the swiss dots folder. I used vellum for the cup as it made it look more like a glass. It's a very simple card.

Life is Good

Today's card is a case from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and I love how it came out. The cut is from B is for Boy and I did a lot of doodling. Love how it came out. The sentiment is from Pink by Design. This post has been scheduled since I am in Vegas. I am sure that I am eating fabulous food that is not kid-friendly and playing games that are not video games, staying up late and eating dessert first! Have a good day everyone, I hope that I come back a winner!

Dig You

Today's card is a kid's card. I used the B is for Boy cartridge to cut our my dump trunk and cut our some pieces out of my square which I embossed with my diamond embossing folder. I did some liberal doodling. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

Today is Lily's last day at dance camp. They are supposed to have a little recital. I am thinking about how to entertain Tyler for the day so I am not sure yet what I am going to do with him. Tonight, I am going to the American Library Association exhibits. They open tonight and are really fun but since I am going to Vegas tomorrow, I am going to miss the whole conference. I don't know when they will be back again in Anaheim so I didn't plan that very well but at least I can go tonight.

Yesterday, my sister and I had afternoon tea -- scones and tea sandwiches, yum! The winner of the last blog candy is paper papier. I am taking the week off as I am working on getting ready for my girl's weekend in Vegas! I will be back next week with a very large blog candy prize as it will be my birthday and my 4 year blogoversary! Talk to you all soon!

I used stickles on the sun and the water and did some doodling with my white gel pen on the campus. The sentiment is from Pink By Design.

Be sure to visit the blog to see the other projects by the design team. I also have blog candy so be sure to scroll leave a comment for a chance to win.

Get Reel

Hello everyone. I hope that all of your husbands, brothers and sons had a wonderful day. We took my husband out to breakfast and then we all had dinner at my parents' house. Today, I am showing you all a card that I made for this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut. The challenge was to make a Father's Day card using an outdoor theme. I used this fun cut from Camping Critters Cricut cartridge. I think that it's a deer or maybe it's a moose? I used some older DCWV summer pack and matching cardstock that I found in a hidden spot in my craft area. I don't have a lot of camping oriented paper so I was really glad to find it. I also used my white gel pen for doodling. The sentiment is from Pink by Design. I am also submitting this card for CardzTV Father's Day challenge.

Tomorrow will be a busy day. I have to take Tyler to the dermatologist at 6:30 in the morning. Can you believe that the Doctor comes in that early? Then Lily has her first day at dance camp and I get to amuse Ty for the day, and somehow find time to clean my house, make dinner and work on cleaning our my seriously messy closet! And oh yeah, I need to do some scrapbooking too!

Skunk Love

HI everyone,
Today, I am showing you the Mother's Day card that my kids gave my mom. I saw something like this while trolling Youtube. I used this cute skunch from Create a Critter and placed him in a wagon also from Create a Critter. My hearts are from an SU punch and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes from SU. I liberally doodled with my black pen and white gel pen. I also used pink and red stickles and a rhinestone for his nose. I think that he came out very cute.

Today, I am going to the spa with my sister and my cousin! We are also going to have a nice lunch somewhere. Can't wait for a relaxing afternoon with the girls.

Don't forget that I have blog candy here.

One in a Melon

I have a super easy card to show you all today. It was inspired by the awesome paper collection Hometown summer from Pink Paislee. My waterfmelon is from Just Because cards and I covered it with stickles to make it shiny and bright. The sentiment is from Cardztv stamps. Quick post today as I have lots to do! My goals is to really use my time wisely this summer and not only gets lots done, but prep for next year so that the school year goes a little more smoothly!

Today is my very first day off so to me it's the beginning of summer. I don't plan to do much today except some crafting and some blog updating! Don't forget that I am offering blog candy here.

What a Croc

This card is a CASE from Mary at CardzTV. She used this cut and I just had to make a card like it because it's so darn cute. The card is sized to fit in a business #10 envelope so it's easy to mail even at this size. The cut is from Crocs Rule, a super cute cartridge by the way. I used some retired SU paper, a little orange button and this perfect sentiment from Pink by Design. I did some doodling on the croc and that was it. A super easy peasy card. This card reminds me a little bit of my Lily. She can be a little daring at times.

I am sending her to dance camp for the first week of summer vacation. She loves to dance so much and I thought that it would be fun for her -- they do crafts too. What will your kids be doing this summer?

You Are My Hero

Isn't this a cute card? I saw something similar while surfing the blogs. I used some of my SU Bashful blue dp - it has white polka dots on it -for my sky. The nightscape is from I think Everyday Paper Dolls and my superbird is from 3 Birds on Parade. The sentiment is from My Creative Time. I did a little bit of doodling on the cityscape. I think that it will make a super cute Father's day card from the kids or a birthday card since Robert's birthday is next month. Thanks for checking me out today!

Wool You Be Mine

Today, I am showing you a card that I made from a case from CardzTV. I think that this blog is probably one of my favorites and I visit at least once a day. These cute lambs are from Country Living and the fence is from Everyday PaperDolls, the buttons are SU and the paper is retired SU. The sentiment is My Pink Stamper. I did a minimal amount of doodling around the base of the card but left it pretty simple. I just love this cut with the lambs jumping over the fence. Be sure to visit Mary at Cardztv, her blog is really a lot of fun.

This week's blog candy is this fun paper pad from Fancy Pants called Summer's End. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner in two weeks. Melissa S is the winner of my last paper pad and I have your address so I will be sending you your paper next week!

Today we have a staff bbq! Trying to tie up all of my loose ends before the end of the school year! This weekend is sure to be busy. We are meeting my brother's fiancee's family on Saturday and watching my loony niece all day and then Sunday is my step-daughter's 21st birthday and Ty has basketball. It's funny, she took Lily out for the day to Disneyland to preview the new Cars Land and everyone thought that she was her mother. Britt was highly offended that anyone would think she would have a child so young but they do share a slight resemblance unlike Tyler. Anyway, have a good weekend everyone.

Owl be Seeing You

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday. Today is my bi-monthly post for Just-a-Scrappin. The challenge this week is to create an easel card with an animal on it. I had never made an easel card so I found a really super easy tutorial on splitcoaststampers which helped me with measurements. I used the Martha Stewart loop punch to help keep it propped up. The paper is retired SU and the ruffled purple ribbon is also from SU. The sentiment is from Pink by Design. The animal that I used is this fun owl from Hoot n Holler. I put it on an action wobble which really makes it fun. I used my stickles very liberally too. Come play along with our challenge and visit Just-a-scrappin. Don't forget to comment here to win a Basic Grey paper pad.

See Ya Later

Today's card uses the Crocs Rule cartridge. This is such a fun cartridge. I am sure that I will eventually make cards with all these cuts. They are just so darn cute and layer and cut really nicely. I think that if I used this cut again for a card, I would make a size 10 card, the size that fits in a business size envelope because I feel that the dimensions for this card are just not right. The sentiment is from Pink By Design called Crikey. Just perfect for this cartridge. It was simple layering and I used this paper from SU, which I thought was sort of fun. A simple card but I got to tell ya, while the lites are sorta expensive, they really are such cute cartridges and cut and layer easily! Don't forget to comment here for a chance to win a Basic Grey paper pad. Only one more week of school/work left, can't wait for some time to work on everything that has just gone to the wayside - my crafting, scrapbooking, reading, my house, cooking, cleaning, organization and just about everything else!

Music Speaks

Today, I am sharing a card that I made using the Nifty Fifties cartridge. I wish that I had made the jukebox bigger, it seems so little, but live and learn. Sometimes, I just have no idea how big something really is until after it's cut. This one had a lot of layers so I didn't want to waste it. I used some glitter paper, along with grey and other shades of pink. The pink dp is from SU from my stash and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. Don't forget there is still time to comment to win a Basic Grey Paper Pad here!

I hope that everyone had a good weekend. We went bike riding at the beach! We now have been on two bike rides. The weather had been perfect for it, not too hot! Tyler has also started basketball. The kids at this age have no idea what they are doing, but it's fun to watch. Here is a picture of Lily on her 4th birthday from last weekend with my grandmother's husband. She is just a big girl now. Thanks for checking me out today!

Mr. & Mrs.

Today, I am sharing a cute cardthat I made using the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. I had some of this pretty silver "wedding" paper in my stash and used that as my backdrop for this cute couple. I kept their outfits fairly traditional but I did do some embossing with my swirls folder for her dresss and used my white gel pen quite liberally for some doodling. The sentiment is from Pink By Design. I have weddings on the brain since my brother's wedding will be this summer! Thanks so much for looking.
