Sweet Celebration

Last week's winner is Karen!: Please email me with your address so that I can mail your prize to you. This week's prize is this MFT stamp set. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will use Random.org and post a winner next Friday.

Today's card uses the Pennant stamp set from SU and the Sweet Scoops stamp set for the ice creams and the sentiment. I rubbed chocolate ink on the outside of the embossed kraft piece before attaching to the kraft cardstock piece. It is a simple card but I was playing around with ways to use the pennant stamp set!

Birthday Flourishes

Today, I am sharing a card that I made for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. This week the challenge is to make a birthday card which we always need. I am using a brand new to me Cricut Cartridge called Celebrate with Flourish. Just love this cartridge. I am not big on flourishes and swirls and fussy stuff but I do like the swirls in this cart. I am using the elephant cut at 3.5. The cardstock used is Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red and some yellow from my scrap pile. The sentiment is cut at 2.0. I used new SU dp called Just Add Cake. I added some white stitching around my elephant and all done!

The kids have started back to pre-school full time and so far all is well! Have a good week and don't forget that I am offering blog candy below.

School Days Backpack

Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing a card that I made for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog. The challenge was the 3 R's - Red, ribbon and rhinestones and in a school theme. For this card, I used the Making the Grade cartridge and cut the backpack at 4 inches. The "School Days" is from 3 Birds. I used this fun retired paper from SU called Play Date. I really like the colors in it and I think that it worked nicely with my backpack.

My sister and her husband took the kids to a local waterpark. They were thrilled at an outing out with their favorite Aunt and Uncle. They ate dinner, watched a movie and played. Robert and I went to dinner and it was nice not to tell someone to sit down, or eat and actually enjoy our meal uninterrupted for once. When we came to get them, they little stinkers ran away and hid in the closet with their cousin because they didn't want to come home!

Holiday Blog Candy

Happy Friday! Last week's winner is Tracey . Please email me with your address so I can mail your prize to you. This week's prize is this MFT holiday stamp set. I don't think they make this one anymore. Anyway, to win just leave a comment on this post and I will use random.org and post a winner.

This week's card is very cute muffin fairy from Bella stamps. I used Basic Grey dp and it was also used to paper piece her dress. The rest of the image is colored with copics. The flower on the bottom was cut with cuttlebug flower dies and felt and I placed a pearl in the center.

Lately, I have been obsessed with making Mini Books. I have tons of paper and tons of Zutter coveralls so I have been looking at different blogs looking for ideas. My favorite blog right now is Paper Phenomenon. I am a total lurker on her site but her stuff is amazing and she has ustream classes that help you make some of the amazing projects she has posted. You also can buy kits and they are really beautiful. She is listed in the top 10 on the Cricut top 40, so she is not really a hidden gem but I just discovered her. Have any of you found a "new to you" blog that you find really inspirational? Please post in the comments section so that all of us can find a new blog and be inspired!

The top of the cupcake was embossed with the hearts embossing folder. The dp is from Basic Grey and is called Life of the Party. The cherry has a glaze on it and I used pink SU ribbon. The bottom of the brown dp layer was cut with pinking shears and the scallop mat was cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Unfroggetable

Today, I am sharing a card that I made for the Pink Stamper challenge which was to make a card that represents something that you like. Create a Critter is my favorite cartridge so I made my favorite cut on the cart this very cute litle from. I cut him out at 3.5 using this retired SU paper and kiwi kiss cardstock. I put the frog on a wobble and it bounces around when you touch it, very cute. The stamp is from My Pink Stamper. I embossed the lilypad with the bubbles folder. I also did some stitching around the frog.

I had a super busy weekend. We went to the Dodger game on Sunday and it was hot, but we had really good seats and the Dodgers hit 3 homeruns and shut out the Astros so it was really fabulous.

Today's card is for Mojo Monday. I used the sketch pretty much as is and I think the paper really made this card. I used Garden Gala from SU. A lot of people didn't like this paper but I think it's pretty. I used tangerine tango ribbon and my scallop punch. The stamp is from Fox Friends. I stamped the lion twice and cut out the mane and head of the second lion and put it on dimensionals. The sentiment is also SU. Smiles Across the Miles & blog candy

Thanks for joining me today. If you viewed this earlier, I hadn't posted the blog candy because I was busy this morning painting the bathroom. We painted it a pretty green, it looks very nice. This week I am giving away this 6x6 Cosmo Cricket Wanted mini deck. To win just leave a comment on this post letting me know what craft or home project you are working on or what projects are next on your to do list. At the end of the post, please find the winner of last week's candy.

I really like today's card! It meets the Fantabulous Cricut challenge to create a friendship card and the Cricut Circle Blog challenge to create a scene. I used the Pop Up Neighborhood Cart and cut the balloon at 3.25, the grassy area was cut at 1.75. The dp is Jillybean soup and I did a bit of doodling on the balloon image to make it pop. The sentiment is PTI.

So what have you all been doing this summer? I have spent a lot of time at the pool but not one single day at the beach and I only live 20 minutes away! Today, the kids have their last swimming lesson and Tyler starts soccer soon. On Sunday, we are going to Knott's Soak City water park.

Today, is my parent's 39th wedding anniversary and my Grandmother's 83rd birthday. The story goes, that my parents had been talking about getting married for awhile (I have no idea on how long that is realistically as my mom was a couple of months shy of 19) and my grandparents were joking that they were going to Vegas for my Grandma's birthday and if they really wanted to get married they should come to Vegas with them. They were very surprised to find my parents at their doorstep waiting to go to Vegas. They were married at the Chapel of the Stars by a wannabe Elvis impersonator. Hilarious right? Yesterday, we took my grandmother and her husband out for lunch. I took the kids and they were very well behaved for once.

Hope that you are enjoying your day.

Edited to add: Winner of the Blog candy from last week is sunshine honey bee. Please email me with your address so that I can mail your prize.

Mojo Monday Challenge

Hi everyone! Tyler's baseball clinic is finally over and we are in the midst of private swimming lessons which end on Friday. We got new couches this week, at last! We spent two weekends pretty much going to every furniture store in existence so it felt to make a decision.

Today's card meets two challenges Mojo Monday Sketch challenge and 365 cards. The dp is Jillybean Soup and the ribbon and buttons are from SU. The stamp is also from SU. The sketch was a bit different, using triangles but I think it came out pretty cute.

Today, I am sharing a card that I made for the cricut cardz challenge. The challenge this week was to create a card for any holiday so I made a Halloween card using the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge. The "Boo" comes from an old SU stamp set, I think it's called Autumn Apparitions. The bat and the dp is from Martha Stewart. Thanks so much for looking today.

Don't forget that I am offering blog candy.
