Boo!

Todays card is a little different for me. I used my cricut for all of the pieces that you see here. I have used my cricut for scrapbooking but this is the first time that I've used it, along with my Gypsy for a card. I used the cartridges Pumpking Carving and October 31st and for the words I used Cutting Up. The colors are grey, tangerine tango, black and sunny yellow. I also used acetate for the card base.

The weather here is crazy and I am getting a little concerned about Halloween because it might rain! Tyler is really looking forward to. The poor little guy has a bit of an infection in his big toe so he had to take some apparently nasty antibiotics and soak his toe in water and peroxide. I swear there is always something going on in my house! Hope that you all are having a great day.

Nothing Like a Good Book

Today's card used Library Ledger paper and All Booked Up from Paper Trey ink. The ribbon is aqua mist and the cardstock is kraft. I made my own embellishments using a brown button and a punched circle of dp. The kraft cardstock was embossed with the Book Print Impression plate.

Use your stash

Today's card uses some retired earth elements buttons and sale-abration paper. I used Great Friend again, stamping each element separately and then cutting them out. I also used some bashful blue ribbon and the sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes.

I am still trying really hard to use up my stash and give away what I don't need or just can't use anymore. I hope to be able to do my blog candy freebies over Thanksgiving week when I am off so that I can give away some ribbon and paper supplies to those who might need them!

Faith Blog Candy

Today's card is another baby card. I used all kinds of Paper Trey Ink products on this one. I used Bitty Baby Blessings and Just the Ticket along with library card stamp sets. I also used ticket die, and library pocket die. The green cardstock was embossed with Book Print plate and then I rubbed white kraft ink over the top. The paper is also PTI.

This week's prize is this CTMH faith stamp set. Leave a comment on this point and I will select a winner next Friday.
So last Friday, I took a cooking class. We made all kinds of different steaks and some chocolate desserts. Yum! I have no special plans this weekend except to get caught up on projects! I am working ahead on my 25 Days of Christmas album and blog posts. I have made a couple of extra albums to sell. They are really a lot of work but they came out nice! I think my main problem is time, there never seems to be enough of it. Have a good weekend everyone.

Thanks a bunch

As you can tell by this card, I was really trying to get through my stash of oasis paper and I used it here too. The stamp is from a retired hostess stamp set which I stamped in Gray and then stamped a leaf image from Great Friend (I think) over in baja breeze. I used some gray ribbon and corduroy baja breeze brad.

Ticket to Celebrate

Today's card is one that I don't make a lot of - a baby card. I used a paper from my stash along with a strip of riding hood red patterened paper. I used Paper Trey Ink Bitty Baby Blessings and Just the ticket stamp set and die. Along with some red buttons and I ended up with something festive and funky!

Today's card is very similar to my last - I used oasis dp along with the stamp set Great Friend. This time I stamped my butterflies in baja breeze and cut them out. The frame is stamped in gray and cut out and then the card is put together as you see here. I also used ribbon and a sentiment from teeny tiny wishes.

This week's blog candy prize is this SU graduation stamp set. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner next Friday.

My sister came over with the kids costumes. LIly was going to be Nemo but apparently my niece through a royal fit because she wanted to be Nemo and she insisted that Lily was going to Minnie, originally her costumer. It all worked out because Lily made an absolutely cute little Minnie. Tyler is Woody and is just perfect. I'll post pictures as soon as I have some time to load them from my camera. Tomorrow we are going to Knotts. We have season passes and we don't use it nearly enough but they are having some Halloween activities for little ones. But it's raining today so hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow because the kids are really looking forward to it.

All Booked Up

Some more Papertrey Ink goodness. I used their new stamp set All Booked Up and Library Card. Aren't these the most perfect stamps for a librarian? I loves them. I first stamped my kraft cardstock in white craft ink with some polka dots also from PTI. The library card stamp was stamped in white craft on aqua mist cardstock and I added butterflies. The reading image was stamped in white on kraft cardstock and punched out with a circle punch. I added a small strip of dp from SU from my scrap pile to put some additional color to my card. I didn't put a sentiment on it because I wasn't sure how I wanted to use the card but I just love all of the book goodness on it.

You're a Friend

Today's card uses this retired Oasis paper along with pink pirouette and basic gray. The stamp set is Great Friend. I cut out a circle and scalloped circle with my nestabilities. I stamped the butterflies in pink pirouette and cut them out. The sentiment and frame is stamped in gray and cut out. I also used some of my baja breeze corduroy buttons. I really like the layout of this card and I need to try and remember to use it again.

Pink die perfection

Today's card uses the same frame stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink from yesterday. I used some retired dp from SU from my stash and this lovely pink satin ribbon. I also used a scalloped die from MFT for the scallop border. I just love it. I am so addicted to dies especially the steel rule ones because they cut great and they take up so little space.

Sweet Celebration

Today's card uses the new stamp set Sweet Scoops from SU. I used desert sand for my cones and regal rose for my ice cream with green galore springles. The colors are regal rose and green galore. I also used more of my Love Always retired DP - really trying to get through my enormous stash. I've got to find ways to make these stamp sets work for boys but I really always veer towards the feminine when using stamps like these.

I'm about a week behind on sending heart candy but I have to go to the Post Office tomorrow so I will be catching up then. Last weekend we all went to a Children's Book Festival. We had a lot of fun and bought a lot of books! The weekend before we bought a refrigerator because our spare fridge went out. This weekend, we might go to a pumpkin patch! This is my busiest time of the year up until the New Year! I hope that everyone is well!

Sports Border Blog Candy

Last week's blog candy winner is: Paper Princess
Please send me an email with your address so that I can mail your prize to you.

This week's prize is this CTMH sports border stamp. Isn't cute? To win just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner using random.org and post it next Friday.

Just an FYI - I am caught up in mailing all blog candy packages so those abroad should be receiving them - for the non-English speaking countries - I had to rewrite your address so that it followed the US postal format so I am hoping that does not delay your package.

It's been scorching hot here in So.Cal. - 115 degrees on one day which shattered all records, thank goodness my air conditioning works at home and work! I gave a training to teachers yesterday and have just been super busy. I am already thinking about the holidays and am preparing my 25 days of christmas album and am trying to make a couple of extras to maybe sell if anyone is interested in doing the project. It's very time consuming to make the album but once it's made, it's great fun to do the project.

I am also working on an About Me album and will share when I am finished and I guess it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards! So I have tons of projects in the works! Have a good weekend everyone.
