Bunny Slopes

Hi everyone,
Today, I have a fun little card. I made this for a thank you card for my son to give one of his Auntie's. He liked it, because he said the bunny looked like he was having fun. The cut is from Winter Frolic and I used the Cardztv stamp set. The paper is from Echo Park Keepin' Cozy. What I really like about this paper is that it had so many different looks.

Heartfelt Gratitude

Hi everyone,
I am back with a card that I made using stencil techniques from my class that I am taking at Online Card Classes. I am also entering my card into Paper Smooches sketch challenge for this week.
For this card I used white embossing paste and sprinkled white distress glitter on top of it while it was wet. I also took this opportunity to use my new Peachy Keen face stamps and my new heart dies from My Creative Time.
The sentiment is Paper Smooches! Thanks so much for visiting me today.

You Inspire Me

Hi everyone,

I am back with Day 2 of my Stencil class. Now, I am so upset with myself because I made that third card last night with another stencil technique and I gave it away today, without thinking, before I had taken a picture of it and it turned out so cute. Maybe, I will make another one this week because it really was cute! Today's projects are about technique.

One technique was to stamp over the stencil, the idea is to leave a stamped image inside your stencil. It helps to have a stencil with wide space which I didn't have but I still like what I did.
I used this brick stencil from My Favorite Things and I stamped over it with a Papertrey Ink text stamp set but it didn't stamp very well but it actually worked for my card. I then used Tim Holtz distress ink in a lighter color and sponged my stencil. Before I did the ink work I stamped this MFT sentiment and embossed in white. My embossing powder I think was not the best and I know my ink wasn't as I couldn't find my Versamark. So...I used my black multiliner pen to outline the words and so it has a little graffiti look to it. The little girl looks like she's painting and might've painted the wall. I used copics and paper piecing. The stamp is actually from MFT and is part of a school set.

The second card the technique is to use color pencils and color inside the stencil. I used a star stencil that I had and my Prismacolor pencils that I have not used in years! I colored in a couple of stars on a scratch piece of paper, cut out and used foam tape to pop them up. My sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I am actually going to give this card away tomorrow as Lily has a birthday party for a little boy turning 6 in her class.

I am exhausted but I have so much to do and I want to do some crafting too! I spent the day at Lily's dance competition. She did great and even though she can push my buttons I am so proud of her to go up on stage and dance in front of all those people. At 5 years old, I couldn't imagine and she is always so polite with the mom's and other girls too! So I guess I can give up my Sunday too so she can have some fun with her friends even if it's at the most torturous place on earth for parents ---Chuck E Cheese!

I love You with Embossing Paste

Hi everyone,

Today, I am sharing a project that I have up on the Cutters Creek Design Team blog. My project uses a new technique, embossing paste!
I laid my stencil on top of my card and spread the embossing paste over the stencil. I used Wendy Vecchi white paste. After it dried, I colored some of the hearts with my Copics, some with Wink of Stella and some I put Glossy Accents on top and then dumped some pretty Tim Holtz distress glitter on top of it. The heart was cut out with Sizzix Framelits and I also used My Mind's Eye paper. I attached my ruffled ribbon to the back of my heart and to my card using Scor-Tape.
If you are interested in any of the products that I used today, be sure to visit the Cutters Creek store.

Happy Day!

Hi everyone,
I am in the midst of taking an online stencil course from Online Card Classes. I am already learning so much and I loved the first lesson which was sponging and misting. Now, I have two cards for you, I really wanted to do a third card which I will end up doing tonight but probably won't post until tomorrow. The first card uses sponging. I just used Stampin' Up ink because I don't have very many Distress inks yet. I modeled it after the sample that was done in the class.
I did some embossing which I hardly ever do anymore mainly because my husband is usually asleep when I am crafting and the heat tool might wake him up. I also used some sequins which are so fun. I want some more!

My next card uses spray mists. Now there are tons on the market, Dylusions, Heidi Swap, October Afternoon, Tattered Angels just to name a few. I used Tattered Angels because I like the shimmer in it. My stencil for this card is from MFT.

I used my brand new Cricut cartridge Small Frames and Tags. Now that is a fabulous cartridge and if you like the faddish pocket style albums or smash book style scrapbooks this cartridge is great but it also has tons of wonderful sayings and words like this one! I added some stars (wish I had sequins!) and used my Wink of Stella clear marker on it so it has some shimmer to it and then some twine and I just love how it came out. Plus I loved using my spray mist which I rarely use!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Winter Wishes

Hi everyone,
Today's card is another one that I used for thank you cards and I really like how this came out. I used the Echo Park Keepin' Cozy paper pad and the Christmas and Winter Frolic Cricut cartridges. To get the snowy look, I used glossy accents and then sprinkled some white Tim Holz distress glitter on top and I love the look! Be sure to watch the video to get the full recipe and see how it all gets put together.

All You Need is Love

Hi,
I have completed MFT's sketch challenge for this week! Woo Hoo me! This is a super simple CAS card.
I used an MFT stamp set for my sentiment. It was one of the free with purchase and so it didn't have the normal packaging and so no stamp set title. I found a way to use more Valentine paper! I also used this corner that I got in a swap. It just needed a little something so that it wasn't too plain. Thanks for visiting today!

I Love U Fur Sure

Hi everyone,
I will have couple of posts today to meet some challenges. I have got a super cute card for the Scrappy-Mom's Stamps challenge which is to use the colors red and yellow.

I used this cute bee from Teddy Bear Parade and some Valentine paper from Reflections that is sitting on my desk. To avoid scraps and clean up most of my projects this month will be red, pink and variations thereof! I used a Scrappy-Mom's stamp set , they have a very cute bear stamp set that works perfectly with Teddy Bear Parade.

Thanks for visiting me today.

Paper Smooches Challenge Anything Goes

Hi everyone,
I had a little time this evening to play along with the Paper Smooches challenge.

The challenge this week is Anything Goes! My card today uses the Lovestruck stamp set and the matching die set. I made my own little heart embellishment using a felt heart and button that I have had forever in my stash. I used the heart die set to cut out a small heart. I also added a cloud border from Cat's Pajamas.

I also used some stickles, copic markers and my clear Wink of Stella pen.

Penguin Kisses - Exploring the Cameo

Hi everyone, I can't help but play with my new toy. Mostly, because I am trying to learn how to use the thing. Anyway, I found this cute cut, I think in the Silhouette store and I found this one hard to cut and put together, mostly because I hadn't figured out how to create a base for my image.

I used the Echo Park Keepin' Cozy paper pad, it's amazing how many different looks I was able to get out of that paper pad!
Thanks for looking everyone, hope your Saturday is great.

You make my heart happy

Hi everyone,
I am back with a card that I made to meet a couple of challenges. First at MFT, they have a sketch challenge and a color challenge. The colors to use are pink, white and black. I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where we have been asked to use embossing. For this card, I used the swiss dots embossing folder. The cuts used are from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.

The sentiment is from MFT. I really like how it came out! I am so glad that we are having a three day weekend. It was a tough week at work and you could really smell the smoke from the wildfire that was burning not too far away from where I work. Luckily, my home is quite a distance from there, so the air is much clearer here. I hope that we get some cooler weather soon and we could really use some rain because things are getting very dry here and we could see more fires. It was close to 90 degrees where I work so it really doesn't feel much like winter.

I hope that you all have a good weekend!

Stamped Snowman

HI,

I really changed gears today and used this cute Snowman stamp from My Favorite Things. I did some paper piecing on his hat and the heart and outlined him a bit in gray. I again used the Echo Park Keepin' Cozy paper pad and used these mica flakes that I have in absolutely forever and have never used not once! All I did was use my glue pen on the bottom of the snowman and smash down the mica flakes. The sentiment is from CardzTv. I liked this card so much that I made two of them!

Thanks for visiting me today.
