SBS 22 October Challenge

My SBS 22 sister have a challenge each month. This month's challenge was hosted by Sarah , you see my links on the side and visit my sisters to see what they came up with. The challenge was my absolute favorite technique, paper piecing! I used my favorite stamps for paper piecing, MFT. This is a new set called Window Shopping. The paper is from B-Bunny. I paperpieced the dress and the cool tall boot. The ribbon is MayArts and the flower matched perfectly was from my stash. I even did one better and actually made this card for my friend Krista's birthday!

Today is the last day for my 25% off discount for Su orders! But don't worry, I will have some other fun special for next month and I will be introducing my Heart Shoppe. So stay tuned.

Hanging Ornaments

Here is a card that I cased from splitcoaststampers. It uses the SU In-Colors, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. The top pieces was punched with the scallop edge punch and I used some silver cord from my stash. This is not a card that is easily mailed because the cord makes the envelope puffy. So probably a card that you would give a co-worker. I used the stamp set Snow Swirled from SU, the smallest snowflake was stamped in Baja Breeze and the large snowflake stamped in white kraft and then punched with SU's scallop punch.

When I first got this stamp set, I had no idea what to do with it, but you'll see in the next couple of weeks the versatility of this great set!

Remember, you have until Friday to get your SU order in to me for your 25% discount! More Heart candy tomorrow!

Winner and Wednesday Sunflower

Jennifer Hodge! You are the winner of my blog candy! Thanks to everyone who played, especially my subscribers. I will have another fun candy on Friday, because who doesn't like candy on Halloween so be sure to check back.

Don't forget I am still offering 25% off SU orders until Friday. Help me meet my sales goal! I am almost there! When I send off your order, you will also receive a handmade card from me as well as your frequent buyer card!

I will also be launching something new on November 1 (if all goes well) so I hope that you will all give me some feedback.

I cannot take credit for this super cute card. It was a case from Patty Bennett. The paper is Bella Rose (love it!). The sunflowers were made by punching a scallop circle and then cutting into each scallop to the center (but not all the way through) and then punching a dp circle and placing it in the center to create this cute flower. The rik rak was made using the scallop edge punch as well as the scallop on the bottom of the card. The chocolate double stitched ribbon is also SU. The sentiment is a from the current Level 1 Hostess set which I think is my favorite set of the hostess sets because I love sentiments, I can always use them!

See you back here on Friday!

Cupcake Celebration

Here's a fun card that I made for my sister's birthday. Her birthday is actually this Saturday but we went to Macaroni Grill to celebrate with some girlfriends. The main cupcake image is from Stamp a Sweet Impression. The other stamps are from Stampin' Up's Bitty Birthday. I colored in the images using my copic markers and I used glitter on the cupcake liner. The paper is Doodlebug and it comes along with the ribbon and the glitter in Taylor's Key ingredients pack. The sketch is from Iheart2stamp.com. It also works as a challenge for http://passionforpapercraft.blogspot.com/ which I had to make a celebrate card. My sister loved her card!

Don't forget there is still time to enter for the blog candy that I am giving away. It's a couple of posts down. Also, time is running out to take advantage of the 25% SU discount. Friday is the deadline but get your orders to me ASAP!

I hope that everyone has a happy Tuesday!

On My Mind

Here's a card that I made at my SU stamp camp. The cardstock is Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. We used the stamp set Upsy Daisy that was on special last month. I didn't think that I would want this set but I broke down and bought it because it had 3 really great sentiments in it. I'm always needing sentiment stamps. Anyway, we stamped it in I think Pink Pirouette and then used Riding Hood Red and a dauber to put some extra ink on the petals and then stamped on this exclusive Sizzix Top Note die (which works in the cuttlebug!). Put some glue and glitter on some spots and it makes a very pretty and simple card. One of the secretaries here at work retired about 2 years ago and now has inoperable cancer so I've been sending her cards and this would make a nice one!

I colored in the icing with a pink copic marker. The cherry is colored in with a red copic and then I used candy cane stickles. I used my nestablities for the scallop border and my white gel pen. Vampire Cupcake card

This was another card that I made using a Taylor sketch. I think it came out so cute. All of the papers and ribbon came from her Halloween kit. For the main image, I used my Sakura glue pen and purple glitter from Doodlebug for his cape and colored the rest with my copics and Citrus Green marker from CTMH. I never send Halloween cards but I think that I am this year because how cute are Halloween stamps? I just love these ones so fun and unique!

Cocktail Recipe Book

Sorry the picture is so blurry. This is a fun cocktail coaster book that I made for the JustRite stamper contest last month. I used this summer SU simply Scrappin' kit, found recipes on the net and printed them off and then just put it all together. Of course binding it with my bind-it-all. I think this would be fun in a gift basket with a shaker and a couple of bottles of alcohol.

Personalized Notecards

Isn't this fun? I made these cute 4x4 cards for my stepson Jon. I used my JustRite stamper and my Paper Trey Ink Simple alphabet. The paper is from my stash. I made a little box to put them in. I basically took a splitcoast template and then altered it down to fit my cards. I also made matching envelopes but they're not in the picture. I really love how they came out!

Don't forget about my Stampin' Up special - 25% discount on your order! See the post about it here.

Bag Tags

I just love these bag tags. I wanted to buy the kind that I see everyone altering, the laminate ones but they were so expensive, I found these at Office Dept and they were onsale- they're name pouches. Anyway, Lily's I used my JustRite stamper and Basic Grey Euphoria papers. Tyler's, I also used my JustRite Stamper and my Paper Trey Ink alphabet and these cute papers from my stash. On both, I used my nestabilities for the scallops. I found these harbinger rings at Joanns - 4 for a $1 and tied ribbon on the ends. I then clipped these bag tags on their lunch boxes so that no one will "accidentally" take their lunch boxes at daycare by mistake. And, I can reuse them, when I get tired of the paper, I can take the tag out and replace it with a new one. I plan on making some as luggage tags for my stepdaughter who's going on a senior trip to Europe this summer.

Easy Coaster Book

I made this coaster book for my mom. It includes some pics of my Lily and Tyler. The papers are from SU and the stamps are JustRite. It was really easy to do. I just covered my coasters with the paper and mounted my pictures. To attach the coasters together I used hinges from CTMH. Quick post today, talk to you all soon.

Altered Picture Frame

This is probably one of my favorite projects of the year because it has a picture of two of my favorite people, Tyler and my Dad. This picture was taken at a dinner we had for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. I altered a $1 wooden frame that I got from Michaels. The paper is SU and the ribbon was also from Michaels. I used my Justrite Stamper for the "Ty & Dad". The inside part of the frame where the picture went looked very bare so I ran my ribbon along that edge and it ended up looking really nice. Ty gave this to my mom for her birthday and my parents have it displayed in their front room. Such an easy project, the main thing I think, is to have a really great picture!

Notecard Set

This is a set of notecards that I made for my stepdaughter. I used my fun Lockheart snail stamp and my JustRite Stamper. The colors are CTMH orange and Watermelon. The paper is from K&Co Berry paper pad. I made some matching seals and put them all in the plastic container my Paper Trey Ink stamps come in. Tied it off with some matching ribbon and its raring to go! I think it would make a very cute gift with a pen and some stamps...

For Baby

Some of you might remember that I made these cute gift card holders for Christmas and Birthdays not too long ago. Here is one that I made for a baby gift. The second picture is a little blurry. Sorry! I used the baby set and paper pad from Paper Trey Ink. Except the cardstock is CTMH Amethyst. The front of the holder is made with my nestabilities and the "Baby" is done with my JustRite Stamper. The baby carriage in the second pic was paper pieced to use up some scraps. I really like how it came out and will put it in my stash for the next friend who has a baby! Enjoy!

Snail Mail

I just love this snail and sentiment from the Lockheart Stamp Co. I bought mine at Ellen Hutson's online store. I used this fun "Berry" paper from K&Co. It's the same paper that I used for Lily's altered letters. It's a little funky with a pink snail but I think that it's fun and I think I'll have to send this card to a friend who won't be expecting it! Have a great day!

Funky Bookabella

Isn't this a fun card and perfect for a Librarian, library worker or friend of the library or just for someone who likes to read. I used my Bookabella stamp along with my Just Rite Stamper. I really like these stamps, especially the small letter set which I just got. I also used some fun paper that I had in my stash with alphabet letters and this book pocket and card which most libraries don't use anymore. I usually paper piece my Bellas but I colored her in with my copics. Talk to you all soon!

Halloween Sweet Treats

Aren't these super cute little treat boxes? I used the tutorial found here. The first box uses MFT Fright Night and I put glitter on the bats. The bats are a Martha Stewart punch. The second uses stamps from Sweet Expressions. Both of them uses papers from Doodlebug and I used my copics to color the images in!

Boo!

This is a card that I had for a sketch challenge last month. I used my JustRite stamper again. The little costumed kids are from MFT and the bats are from a Martha Stewart punch I bought last year. The paper is leftover K&Co. that I had won in blog candy also last year. I colored in the images using my copics!

I have no idea what my little ones are going to be for Halloween! The baby will probably be in some kind of onesie but my son I have just no idea! I would love some ideas!

You may have noticed but no blog candy this week! I'm having minor surgery next Wedensday so I opted not to do candy this week but as soon as I'm better it will be back!
