Turtle Love

Wow, I must have really been trying to use up this paper! Today's card uses Sending Love specialty dp from Su, along with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder and the Love You much stamp set and Fox and Friends stamp set. I also used this fun hearts border punch from SU and rhinestone brads. I think that it's a simple layout but would work well with lots of smaller stamps, especially if you want to use a regular size envelope. That's part of the reason why I pretty much make the A2 size card - I just don't want to deal with odd sized envelopes! Have a great day.

Born to Ride

Today, I am showing my entry for the Cricut Circle Blog. The challenge was to create a layout or card showcasing the everyday. I dug through my pictures to scrap and found these pics that I had taken last summer of the kids riding their trikes in our driveway. I used Echo Park dp, Kate's ABC's cartridge for the title and the trike. The tree and cloud is from April Showers and is embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The dog is from Create a Critter and the sun was punched with a scallop punch. The butterflies are from an A Muse Studio die set.

Yesterday was fabulous, even though I am sick. I went shopping and them met my sister at Glen Ivy Spa for a massage. We then met a friend from out of town for fondue at the Melting Pot. Really the perfect day! I have a bit of a head cold, I think a result from the cold and rain one day and the hot and dry the next. Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget I have blog candy here.

Birthday Bash

Today, I am sharing a layout that I did for Lily's 2nd birthday. I used pre-printed scrapbook pages from CTMH and used the Birthday bash cart for the cakes which I used to mat some pics. I think the lettering is from Robotz but I am not completely sure as I made these in January. I am working really hard on getting my pictures scrapped and I think I am doing pretty good. I have completed about 12 layouts so far this year which is pretty good because it takes me so much longer to scrapbook a layout than make cards. First, I have to find the right paper and cardstock and then decide how everything is going to be arranged, what the theme is, journaling either print off the computer or use my own handwriting...But I do so like the results.

Puppy Love

Today's card is one that I forgot to post for Valentine's Day. I used the Sending Love specialty paper from SU and punched the top with my scallop punch. The little dog is from the Cricut Sweethearts cart cut at 3.0. Isn't he cute? The riding hood red cardstock was embossed with my Cuttlebug and Sizzix embossing folder. The sentiment is layered on pink and is from My Pink Stamper. I guess I will save him and give him to one of my kids next year!

Peace, Love & Literature

Today's card is just so cute! I had made calling cards for my Cricut Circle meet up and had some leftover pieces and made this cute card. DP is from my stash but I think that it's from Foofalah, the cute stamps are from MFT and I colored in with copics and paperpieced the book. The navy cardstock was embossed with my cuttlebug and plaid folder. I put in all on a kraft base. As a Librarian, I always buy all of the Library and/or book related craft stuff that I can find, and this stamp set is probably one of my favorites!

Love thinking about you

Today's card is one that I forgot to post during my pink and red blitz of February. It doesn't technically say Valentine's day but "thinking of you" which is from SU's tiny wishes stamp set. Very simple card, I used my favorite Sending Love Specialty dp and reiding hood red, blushing bride and chocolate cardstock, pink satin ribbon and a border heart punch and an SU triple heart punch to complete this card. Some of the hearts are on dimensionals which really makes it stand out. I do so love these colors together.

Birthday Sundaes Design Post

Today is my first challenge as a design member for the Birthday Sundaes Challenge Blog. I created a cupcake card using my Cricut Expression and the Sweet Treats Cartridge. The cupcake was cut at 5.5 using the card function. The DP is retired SU from my scraps pile. The pink cardstock is pink pirouette and the card base is Espresso. The sentiment is from SU On Your Birthday stamp set. The red heart has red stickles and I had to try my new art deco pen in silver which was really fun to use. Please be sure to visit the blog to see all of the cards created by the Design team today. You have a week to make a birthday card, the challenge is "anything goes" and link to the post and you can win a fun birthday stamp.

New Toys

Last week's winner is : Glennis. Please email me with your address so that I can mail your prize to you. This week's prize is this stamp set from Stampendous. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner next Friday.

Today, I am sharing a two page layout that I completed at my CHA crop back in January. I am still working on 2010, but I still had a few December 2009 layouts to complete. I used a CTMH book called Reflections to help me with my layout. The paper is from my stash. A scrapbook store went out of business and I bought a ton of paper. I am slooooowly using it up. The colors are yellow, riding hood red, pacific point and espresso. I really needed an image using a scooter and I had just bought A Child's Year cartridge for 10 bucks at Michaels and it had the exact image I needed! The words were cut with Robotz and I cut them out again using the shadow feature. This layout is quite "loud" in terms of the bright colors. Hope you like seeing something a little bit different here on the blog.

Just Because

Today's card uses all SU products and is a card that I got in a swap when I went to my upline's holiday party. I think that it's very cute. More fussy than what I make. I can appreciate other people who are able to do vintagy stuff but it never looks right when I do it. I think it's very pretty and wanted to share it this month when it's all things red and pink month (unofficially of course). Don't forget blog candy here.

Vacaction?

This card uses (I believe retired) stamp set from MFT and I just love it. I don't have a ton of occasion to use the main image of the girl sun bathing but it has other images and this "vacation" word which I can use in scrapbook pages. I used this retired paper from SU - it was in last year's mini and of course I can't remember the name. I a lot of times use the cardboard backing from the paper packs for other things and then I can' t remember the name of the paper. It's mostly colored in with copics, I did paperpiece the umbrella. and I just love the color combo.

I wish I was on vacation, just a few more weeks until spring break and I can't wait. Don'tforget blog candy here.

My new venture

I am so excited to share with you all my new venture. I am now a creative consultant for A Muse Studio. Some of you may know them as Amuse Art Stamps. They have changed their business model and are now a direct home sales company. I am now waiting for my starter kit, my website and online ordering will be ready on April 1. Until then, if anyone wants to know more, see a sample catalog or sign up to be a consultant please feel free to email me. Just know that I am now no longer an SU demonstrator. While I love much of the product, it's really time for me to try something new. A Muse Studio product line is fabulous and their stamp sets are very affordable! More later...

It's your day

This stamp set is from MFT and I believe that it's retired. The image is mostly all paperpiecing with a tiny amount of coloring from copics. I used so saffrom carstock along with this retired SU dp from like 2 years ago but I love the colors of it and am sad that I have just tiny scraps of it left. The buttons are also from SU as is the punch that I used for the sentiment.

Anyway, last week's winner is Brittani N - please email me to claim your prize by the end of next week. This week's prize is this very versatile stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner next week.

Lovely trees

Hello, Here is another card that I got in a swap. I believe that she used Lovely as a tree and 1st edition dp all from SU. She also stitched which is a nice touch. It's nice to get swaps of things that I would never do. For example, I would never buy this set, even though it's very popular and people love it. I just don't do a lot of "nature" type cards except for flowers which I do love. So you won't find me buying the realistic looking animals either. I think that is what is so great about this craft, what I don't like someone else does and vice versa and it's just nice to see what other people do ...

Party this way

This bright and festive card uses the stamp set Party this Way by SU as well as the Celebrations dp also by SU. The colors are pear and cherry cobbler. I always buy the clear stamps. Here is a little tip and maybe I am the only one that has this problem, but I cannot get those unmounted stamps from SU to stick to my block - so I put a tiny bit of monoadhesive or even atg adhesive on the back of the stamp and it then will stick to my block. When I am finished, I just rub the adhesive right off! This is probably not a revelation but for me it was pure frustration and now I can use these stamps with ease!

Cupcake punch

Last week's winner is:Denise Willerton. Please email me with your address so that I can mail your prize to you.

THis week's blog candy is this MFT stamp set Meet Me at the Cafe. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will post the winner next Friday.

I have another card today that I received in a swap. All SU products were used, including the new cupcake punch and stamp set from the current mini catalog. Chunky glitter and white satin ribbon was also used. Because I have my Cricut I had to make a decision about this punch and stamp set which is so cute but I decided not to get it because I can make anysize cupcake that I want with my Cricut and plus my husband is always complaining about how much space my stuff takes up. There is only so many places I can hide it and now most of it is in plain view. Sigh...

Owl be seeing you

Today's card is for the Pink Stamper Challenge which was to make a bird card. I made this cute owl with my Cricut Expression and new Nate's ABC cartridge. The owl was cut at 3.5 inches and the colors used are dafodil, marina mist, olive, espresso and the dp is greenhouse gala. I haven't used this paper much because it seems so loud but when toned down it really works nicely for "animals" that I've cut with my cricut. Hope that you all are enjoying your day.

Don't forget about blog candy below.

Aloha

Today's card uses Aloha stamp set from Paper Trey Ink and designed by Dawn McVey. The images were colored in with copics. I used this retired SU paper from last summer's mini. It was one of those cards where you kind of just experiment with new products to see what happens. It makes me miss Hawaii. I haven't been there in almost 5 years!
