Pink Monday

Hello all, Well I recovered from my weekend of house projects. We have someone coming to install the top cabinets in our kitchen on Saturday, which means all of the kitchen boxes in Tyler's room will have a home! Maybe we'll even be able to eat off of dishes. Yep, I've been eating off of paper plates for over a year!

I received my new Paper Trey Ink order and I thought that I would share a cute little birthday card I made this morning.

The cardstock is PTI Berry Sorbet and the ink used was Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush also by PTI. The stamp set is called It's a Celebration. The ribbon is also PTI. I used my nestabilities for the scallop squares. The DP is PTI Pink Patterns 6x6 pad. On the Sweet blush cardstock, I stamped little confetti in Sweet blush ink for a subtle background.

I had someone ask what I used to color in my Lola's. I used Prismacolor pencils, gamsol and a paper stump.
I bought my Gamsol at a Rubber Stamp Convention years ago because I saw someone demonstrating with it using chalks. I only brought it out when I saw it appear on all of the blogs.

In this example, I used a pink and a light red pencil and very roughly colored in Lola's hat.

Then I dip my stump into the gamsol and color over my pencil images, blending and filling in any white space. The gamsol works like magic, making my "rough" coloring look smooth and bright.
Hope this answered your question! Enjoy!
