This is another sneak peak at the Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango In-Color paper and ink as well as crushed curry polka dot ribbon. I will be honest and say I'm not super crazy about these new colors but I do love the ribbon. It will be hard to top last year's colors.

Watercolor Roses

Don't forget today is the last day for this week's blog candy!I will post the winner tomorrow and post the next week's candy. It's a good one so you don't want to miss it. This card uses Patty Bennett's watercolor with reinker technique. It's easy but I think that I need some practice. Basically, you white emboss your rose and then spray water (a lot more than you think) onto your image. You can use a water brush and spread reinker over the watered down image. The color washes over and the different colors blend together. The base cardstock is crimped which gives this really cool look...very similar to a new paper that is in the new catalog!

If you are interested in a new catalog, please email me! I will be mailing a freebie catalog to all of my customers who spent 150.00 last year. Included in the catalog will be special coupons! Also, if you received a customer appreciation coupon from me, it expires on June 30!

Last but not least, I will be offering some paper and ribbon shares at great prices! So be on the lookout for that!

Talk to you soon.

In-color sneak peek

Don't forget blog candy is found on this post. This the card that I made for my shoebox swap for last Saturday. I had a wonderful demonstrators meeting where I made some really fun projects. I used Eastern Blooms. This the first time that I used this stamp set. I have no idea why I waited so long, it's so fun to use! I also used new in-colors so you have a chance to see these in action. This is Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Dusty Durango cardstock and ink colors. I inked in Razzleberry some flowers on the side of my base cardstock. I stamped my flowers and cut them out, putting a little bit of glitter on the inside of the flowers. I also used Great Friend from the mini which also made it in to the new catty! Yeah! I love this set.

Today, my step-daughter graduates from high school so my day and evening will be very busy. Yesterday, I took Lily to Disneyland with my mom who was baby-sitting my 5 month old niece. We were both sweaty and tired afterwards and we were only there 2 1/2 hours! I think it had something to do with in the stroller, out of the stroller and the carrying!

Have a great day!

Lily's Party, Blog Candy still going on...

Here are some pics of Lily's birthday party. She looks like she had a good time!

Don't forget my special blogoversary blog candy here.

Here is a card using stamps from Stamp a Sweet Impression. I just love these little cuppies. I used some retired Cutie Pie paper from SU (scraps!) on kraft cardstock, tied off with some ribbon from my stash and some buttons also from SU. The cuppies are colored using my copics.

I had a fun time last night with my stamping friends. We stamped and had dinner, it was lots of fun. I will be sharing what I made this week on the blog!

Now for a little eye candy. I created this card for last week's MFT challenge to use 3 papers from different lines. I used SU's Riding Hood Red DP, SU Sherbert and Dream Street. The stamp set was MFT's Birthday Flopsey. I used copics on Flopsey and then went over him with coffee shimmerz. The cupcake was paper pieced. I also used a strip of riding hood red satin ribbon and matching color button. The base cardstock is glorious green.

Today is my last day of work and then I am off for 10 weeks! Let's hope I have a job in 10 weeks but until then, I'm going to enjoy the time with my little ones! Have a good weekend.

Beautiful You

Don't forget BLOG CANDY can be found here.
This is a card that I made for a Verve Stamps sketch challenge. I used the stamp set Beautiful You for the main image as well as the sentiment. I also used this SU DP called Flock together. The cardstock colors are tempting turquoise and so saffron. Not my usualy color combination. I just think it's looks fabulous though. It's really nice to go outside of the box once in awhile.

This weekend was super busy! I went and had dinner with my sister and some friends to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. Then we went to the movies. I haven't been to the movies in like forever so it was a really treat. We saw Ghosts of Girfriends Past...cute chick flick and Matthew Mcconaughey is always nice eye candy. Then on Sunday was a billion loads of laundry and trying to clean up some of my stamping/scrapbooking mess that was literally invading our bedroom! I hope that everyone had a fun weekend.

Flopsey Blog Candy

Here is my card for today. I used Stamp a Sweet Impression stamps from Taylored Expressions. I also used her birthday boy key ingredients which included the paper and ribbon. I used my nesties for the scalloped squares and my punches for the circle and scallop circle. I outlined the scallops with my white gel pen. The image is colored with copics. I think the colors are so bright and cheerful, perfect for a birthday card.
Now today's giveaway is a good one. I have this clear stamp set from MFT called Reading Flopsey. I have two so I am giving one away. To win, just leave a comment on this post and let me know what your favorite stamp set is right now. I would say mine right now is SU's Good Friend. It's so easy to make an elegant card with it. I will select a winner on Wednesday, so you have until Tuesday night to leave a comment.

Mojo Monday 89

I finally got a chance to post my Mojo Monday card. I used the stamp set Going Places from MFT. The dp is from SU and I think its called Slumber Party. The sentiment is stamped on a chipboard piece that I rubbed white craft ink on. The yellow ribbon is So Saffrom from SU. The dress is paperpieced and the rest of the image is colored with copics. The sketch is of course from Mojo Monday.

Enjoy your day!
