Late Blog Candy

Well, I braved the crowds and went shopping on Black Friday. Toysrus was a literal zoo! But I got almost everything that I went there for. I also went to Carters, Joanns and the Mall! The mall today was far less crowded. I went again with my sister because she had to work yesterday and was disappointed that she didn't get to go shopping with me. The deals were much better on Friday!

So for this week's giveawy, I have this stamp set called Be Yourself from CTMH, it's an acrylix stamp set. Leave a comment on this post and I will post the winner on Friday!

Ornaments all the way

This is a super simple card using elements from the Scrapping kit "jingle all the way." I used chocolate cardstock for my base card and dp from the kit that I punched with the scallop punch. The ornaments are all from the kit and I just attached gold cord at the top of the ornaments so they looked like they were hanging. SU sells a stamp set like these ornaments but I opted to get the ornament stamp set that coordinated with the punch, which I love and will be sharing a lot from!

Today's card uses a variety of products from my stash. The dp is leftover Heidi Grace which I really just love the colors. The felt flower and button are both from my stash. The felt ribbon is retired SU from last year. The stamp is Wandering Words from the SU mini catalog. A very simple fall card. It's nice to use these colors too because soon it will be nothing but the colors of winter.

I really like this simple card. This dp is retired SU and sage shadow cardstock. The stamp is from MFT. The ribbon is from my stash. I paper pieced her pants and the rest is outlined with copics. The buttons are SU and are tied off with twine. I am so looking forward to next week. Turkey is nice but 4 days off in a row is nicer! I hope to be done with my Christmas shopping very soon! Are you ready for Turkey day?

It's getting close to Thanksgiving. Are you ready? After two years of "people" sticking my fresh turkey in the freezer I'm going to be giving it a rest. My sister is hosting Thanksgiving this year. I do still have to make a dessert and make 10lbs of mashed potatoes. But that's a lot easier than dealing with the turkey! This card uses SU dp and sage shadow cardstock. The turkey is from MFT.

Relax

This card is for everyone who is starting to stress about the holidays. Just relax and take a deep breath, everything will be fine! The dp is from Stampin' UP and it's called Thoroughly Modern, I used the in-color soft suede cardstock and ribbon. The stamps are MFT and her outfit is paperpieced. It's a simple card but would be nice to send to someone who feels stressed!

I've been doing tons of holiday stamping and will be sharing my preparation for the holidays in my 25 days of christmas starting December 1. Have you all started getting ready? I always tell myself that I will start early so I will have a stress free holiday but it doesn't always work out that way!

I'm Here Boy Album

These pictures are not the best, but this is an album that I made for my friend Melissa who just had a little boy. The album directions are from Andrea Walford. I used the retired SU scrapbooking Kit I'm Here Boy and I just followed the album directions and decorated my album. It was very easy and fun to do and I think made a nice and personal gift!

Today's giveaway is this paperpad called Lime Rickey from Basic Gray. To win leave a comment on this post. For a second chance, post this candy on a bulletin board or blog! I will select a winner next Wednesdsay.

Every so often, I need a baby card! My friend Melissa just had a baby boy and so I made a couple of boy baby cards. I used a CTMH acrlyix stamp set in bashful blue. The paper is more Sale-a-bration dp from SU as is the celery ribbon. The stars were punched with an SU star punch and I used my top note die which felt good to pull out and use again!

Eastern Blooms meets Thoroughly Modern & Winner

I had some leftovers on my desk and decided to use them up and came up with this card. I used kraft cardstock for my card base and a sentiment from SU in black ink. The paper is SU Thoroughly Modern. I stamped the flower from Eastern Blooms. The ribbon is also SU. It's a simple card but it felt good to use up some pieces laying around and I can always use Thank you cards.

SandyH50 you are the winner. Sandy said that she will be watching The Proposal last weekend which I did too. I thought that it was very cute! I also had an opportunity to see a free screening of a movie called Did you Hear About the Morgans with Hugh Grant and Sarah J Parker. I liked this one a lot! Halloween was fabulous and I'll be posting pics of the kidlets soon! Enjoy your day. don't hate me but it's like 80 degrees here and just gorgeous, does not feel like fall at all!

Rainy days are here again

Here is a fun card using MFT's Rainy Days stamp set. I used more of my sale-a-bration paper from last year and my favorite bashful blue cardstock. The raincoat is paperpieced and the rest of the little girl is colored with copics. It's the perfect card since the weather has finally turned in Southern California and we actually need a raincoat now and again!

I know that some people really love the rain but for me it's a trial because the traffic is just miserable! But I do like it when the weather gets cooler and it starts to feel like fall because then it feels like the holidays are on their way!
