Mmmmm...I love the Christmas food. On Christmas day we'll have having the salt encrusted prime rib. Oh, Christmas Eve we're having a big pot of clam chowder, and the day after Christmas we'll be having ham. My parents are hosting this and live just around the corner from us. Family can't all come at the same time, so we'll be celebrating and celebrating and celebrating. I'm so excited!

Well, the cookies are done (except for my favorites). Other than that I haven't thought too much about what I'm going to make, I think maybe ham and a roast (for the meat lovers). Thanks for the chance to win some goodies. Sandra

I like to have Ham for Christmas dinner. My family likes the Turkey (because they luv my stuffing), so what we do is every other year I get my way & have ham...so this year its ham's turn. Next year turkey, get it! I luv Basic grey paper & because I saw so much figgy pudding on your blog I went & ordered some when I didn't win it. Your an enabler, girl!!! I always luv to stop by & see what you have created, because your creations are awesome!

Hi Cindy,
The holiday season certainly is the time of feasting! Along with all the other delicacies, we have a fabulous lobster bisque made from a stock that a friend brings home from Maine every year. It's really smooth and rich, and has become a new tradition with our meal.

For Christmas we always have a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings, though I won't be able to enjoy any of it as I am working throughout the holiday season...Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day :-( Oh well, hopefully there will be turkey left for me when I get home!

Love the paper. I received your beautiful Christmas card in the mail today. Thank you so much. The whole fam loved it. Not sure yet what we are having. I know it sounds strange, but each year we try to do something different. We always do Thanksgiving the traditional way and Christmas something like steak, shrimp or prime rib..etc. Ok the traditional candies and pies are still around. I'm not that crazy.
Thanks for a chance.

On Christmas day, we always have a spiral ham. With traditional mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. I have a recipe for Mock Caesar Salad (from Taste of Home cookbook), that is really easy and can be made very healthy.
I love the paper.

Love that paper, what a fabulous
prize to receive. It is so interesting to see how many people
choose ham. We stick to the traditional turkey dinner with sweet potato pie and honey glazed carrots. Dessert time can be a choice of christmas baking or several pies to choose from with fresh whipped cream. A true colesterol and carbohydrate day.

christmas food? well, I love eating pan de pascua with the cola de mono my grandmother makes :) (which is almost non-alcoholic, lol).

Hi Cindy,Yummy food,I can't wait!
I'm planning on a bit of everything...ham,turkey,salads,mashed potatoes and gravy, and some desserts. But very little of everything, cause i'm trying to loose weight. And the next day back to the diet,I don't want to do like the previous year and gain a bunch of weight cause it's too hard to loose it again.
Thanks for the chance at your beautiful paper!!

I'm singing in a Christmas cantata tomorrow night and bringing these wonderful Belgian Chocolate truffles from Aldi's (a discount grocery store we have here, in case you haven't heard of it). They are solid chocolate, but really soft and airy and they melt in your mouth.... Mmmmmmm.... sweet! Like the paper!! :)

lovely paper! today we had Christmas on my side and I made Peppermint Eggnog Punch.

I'll be eating the regular holiday fare....I think. I say I THINK, because we will be out of town visiting my SIL and it could be something very different (but I hope not)....

My MIL has this traditional Christmas Eve meal:
1st course - shrimp cocktail
2nd course - garlic bread (REALLY garlicky)
3rd course - green salad
3rd course - black bean soup with a spider web of sour cream on top

They have it served formally by waiters/caterers in their dining room - and the first time I had it, it felt soooooooooo strange and out of place...this wasn't Christmas dinner that I was used to - where'd the mashed potatoes go? What about the roast and the pies?? And it sure didn't seem like FAMILY with all the people waiting on us. They have nothing like the traditional food that I grew up with...it is very sparse and different.

Hi Cindy!
Love the Basic Grey...thanks for a chance to win some!

What I am cooking...nothing at all...it's better that way :)

What I am eating...peanut brittle...it's the only time of the year I allow it in the house!

Well, I actually have no idea WHAT I'm making for Christmas dinner. I think I'll be checking out some meal plans this week. I do know that I'm making a brownie, fruit, chocolate pudding trifle for dessert!

Cindy, your generosity continues even through the holidays - you are the blog candy Queen! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us.

Humm, what I'm I gonna eat or make over the holidays...well, I've already had chocolate rum balls, Almond-Orange Biscotti and shortbread cookies and lots of Xmas M & M's! Yummy! Oh my, and Xmas isn't even here yet and I'm totally off my weight loss plan. I'm sure there will be more treats to come... oh well, Xmas only comes once a year! lol :)

All the best to you and your family for a safe and happy holiday and a wonderful New Year.

Hugs,
Julie
