Blog Candy Winner!

is Hazel! Please email me your address and I will get your prize to you. Jill your prize will be mailed this week! I will be back on Friday with another blog candy and hopefully some eye candy too!

Thanks everyone for the holiday wishes. We had a fabulous Christmas. I don't need to buy toys or clothes for a long, long time! The kids got a ton of stuff, mostly thanks to my mom and dad who ultra spoil their grandkids. Dinner turned out great and Christmas Eve dinner was fabulous as always. The only downside was that my little 11 month old niece wasn't there. She got the stomach flu, poor baby and spent Christmas morning in the ER! My sister and mom got it over the weekend and my brother in-law and his mom have it now. Luckily, my mom is off this week, otherwise I would probably be babysitting a 3rd kid! And she's a handful, a little mini Tyler in the making!

See you all on Friday!

Merry Christmas - Day 25

Welcome to the 25 Days of Christmas - Day 25. For those waiting to see who won the blog candy, I probably won't get a chance to post that until sometime this weekend! As it is, this is being written early because my Christmas morning will be busy! My husband and I plan on getting the babies cleaned up while waiting for his children who spent most of the week at another relatives house. We will eat breakfast and then ravage the presents! Then off to my parents house where more present ravaging will happen. Then I'll be cooking standing rib roast for dinner. Wish me luck, I've never made this before!

Today, I am sharing the last completed pages that I have for my December album. My goal is to have this baby completed before the New Year! Above are pics from Tyler and Lily's Christmas performance. They had Santa and while Tyler was excited about seeing Santa, once it was his turn he got cold feet but my mom was able to persuade him to take a picture. Lily is hamming it up for the camera.

Here is a pic of my stepdaughter and my Lily.

These two pics of are the babies playing. Tyler loves for me to take pictures of his cars and Lily just likes to copy him, grabbing random toys and holding them up for me to take a picture of.

One of my favorite pics of my two babies. With Tyler not strangling Lily and Lily actually smiling and not trying to escape!

My stepson had this super (said sarcastically) project in cooking where he had to make 20 things and then create a cookbook. So really its a project for parents..even if they are not doing the cooking, they have to make sure all the ingredients are there and vet the receipes and make sure the house doesn't burn down. So this picture showcases the lovely project that I ended up having to deal with because of course he procrastinated and then he expected me to magically have stuff ready for him to cook, plus run to pick up his photos!

My silly Lily playing with wipes and really happy too!
I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday! Talk to you all soon!

It was the night before...Day 24

Welcome to the 25 - Day 24 Here are some more pics of my daily album. Above is just a cute picture of Lily.I saw Mary Poppins the musical with my sister and cousin. I have been waiting nearly 5 years to see this, every since I heard it was in London! It then went to New York and is finally on limited engagement here in Los Angeles. At first, the tickets were 200 bucks and I was so sad. Then my sister got a promo for mezzanine tickets for 45 bucks. So I bought them and we went. It was just so fabulous.

Here is a pic of my two little ones. Lily loves climbing into Tyler's fire truck bed so I snapped this picture of them playing.

My sister brings my niece Kayla over quite often and the two girls have a love/hate relationship. Kayla is much more aggressive than Lily and likes to chase here which makes Lily cry. But then they will laugh hysterically at each other a moment later!

A snapshot of some of the many presents I have wrapped so far.

Here is a picture of Lily "helping" put some candy canes on the tree. Do you notice the broken one?

A picture of my husband and cutie pies before they headed off to bed. The santa is a sizzix die.
I made 10 lbs of mashed potatoes last night for today. My mom makes the turkey and stuffing and all of the family piles over there tonight. We eat until we explode and visit while the kids run around like maniacs. Then we head home to finish last minute Christmas stuff..
Merry Christmas Eve!

25 Days of Christmas Album - Day 23

Welcome to the 25 Days of Christmas - Day 23.For the rest of the week I will be showing my 25 Days of Christmas album. It's a daily album to preserve the memories of how we spent our December. I didn't do it last year and decided this was the year to do it. I'm only up to date up to the 17th but I feel really great about that!I used SU's Christmas Cocoa specialty paper, various cardstock, mostly in red and white and I used all of the chipboard letters and numbers that I had, especially the numbers! I had an album already which I altered before the 1st of December. I kept it very simple. The journaling is all done in my handwriting and is very simple. You will see that the idea is just to get the book done!
Here is Day 1. We had just started putting up our Charlie Brown tree and discovered that most of our lights were bad so my husband went out and got us some lights. He snapped this photo of us when he got back. I think that it's a great shot of us.
Day 2, I snapped this shot of my handsome son. Doesn't he look old in this picture. Can you believe that he is only 3 years old? and not 3 1/2 either!

Day 3 commemorates my son's obsession with his cars. He loves for me to take pictures of them.

Day 4 is a picture of my little girl wearing her brother's handmedowns. The jeans are his, old oshkosh's and the shirt belonged to my cousin's son and she gave it to Tyler and we put it on Lily. To make it look more feminine we put her hair in pigtails and she just looked so cute.

Merry and Bright - Day 22

Welcome to the 25 Days of Christmas. Today's project is this fabulous ornament that is super easy to make. I purchased this pretty bright red glass ornament from Michaels. It came with 6 ornaments and cost about 3.99. The Merry and Bright is a rubon from SU and that's it! The week is going by so quickly. I hope that you are all done with your shopping because all the stores are getting miserable to shop in. I needed diapers and going to Target was a chore!

Day 21- Tags

Welcome to the 25 Days of Christmas, Day 21. Today I am showing you some homemade tags. These are super easy but when you have like a zillion presents to wrap like me, it's hard to make a zillion tags. So I made about 10 or so to go on packages for friends and family that don't actually live in my home to make the presents a little more special. These tags are the few that I remembered to take a picture of! They all use SU products. The top tag is simple, punched out stamped image, the to/from is on the back side. The next two are like little cards. I used the cute SU Sizzix Sizzlet Merry, one uses the tree from Sparkly and Bright the other uses a retired felt flurry. The bottom take is a rectangle I cut from scrap and I stamped the reindeer from Sparkly and Bright and punched him with my scallop punch. I wish I had time to photograph them on the package. I will see what I can do. In the meantime, it's been super busy! I just got back from a Christmas Tea Party, cookie exchange at my cousin's house and then I finished up some laundry and after reading a few emails I'm going to work on my daily December album which I hope to show you all soon!
