What a Hoot

My project for this week's challenge at Just-a-Scrappin is to use chevron stripes. I don't have any stamps with this type of stripe and I found this zig zag in Plantin Schoolbook and decided that I could make it work. I used a plain card base and added my stripes. The dp base is from Elegant edges and my cute owl is from Hoot n Holler - the very first time that I have used this cartridge. I don't know what took me so long because it was so fun to cut this little guy out. I used some stickles on his belly, eyes and ears and they look great, all sparkly. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. Dont forget that I have blog candy here.

Thanks for looking!

A true classic

Today, I am sharing a card that I made to give to my Grandmother for Mother's Day. I am also submitting it for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge to make a card that is "on the go" such as planes, trains, cars, etc. This super cute card is a cut from the Nifty Fifties cartridge. I cut it out at 2.25 inches with all the layers in pink, gray, black and white. I used stardust stickles for the headlights and the front window. The dp is Springtime from Echo Park and my blue buttons are from SU. I just love how it came out, so girly and feminine. I found the perfect sentiment from Pink by Design. Thanks so much for looking today!

Dude!

Hi everyone,
I got something a little different today, a boy card! I used some DP from my stash. I cannot remember the name of the paper collection but it's from SU and while it's not my favorite, it really works great for grungy boy cards. The stamp set is from Taylored Expressions and it's called Moka Justin. I used my copics to color him and the die is also from TE. I added a tiny bit of doodling but purposely left off the embellishments and left it "clean" so that a tween boy could receive it and not think it was girly!

A Note of Thanks

Today's card uses a new stamp set from SU called Button Bouquet and I used some retired paper and everything else is SU except for the pearls that I made using my Viva Decor pen. I've really been trying to use up my stash and this paper while not one of my favorites seemed to work here. Last week's winner was Suzanne. Please email me with your details so that I can get your prize to you. This time I am offering Summer's End by Fancy Pants paper pad. Rain or shine

Hi everyone! I am posting a second card today. I am submitting this card in Cardztv challenge and in this week's fantabulous cricut challenge. The challenge for both is to use an umbrella, cloud or other "rain" type card. I decided to use this cut from the Child's Year cartridge. I cut it out a couple of times so that I could cut different papers for the umbrella, her shoes and her coat. I slathered on some cotton candy stickles because it looked a bit plain. The paper I used is from the Springtime collection from Echo Park. I think spring is definitely here, since we are hitting the high 80's here in SoCal. It's getting downright hot! Thanks for looking.

Gonna Make This Garden Grow

I love when I make cards from my stash and can clean up some of the mess on my desk. The cardstock is marina mist and daffodil and the paper is retired SU, I can't remember the name of the collection but some people didn't care for it. The sentiment is from MFT's garden stamp set and I used this fun paper butterfly from CTMH.

You're Sweet

Today's card reminds me of cotton candy, pastel and kind of fluffy. I am using some of Stampin Up's new products. The DP Sweet Shoppe is in the mini catalog along with the sentiment stamp and the cardstock is wisteria. The super cute ice cream cone is from Simply Charmed, with all the layers cut at I think 3.5. I had some gauzy ribbon in my stash that matched and so that finished of my yummy card!

Stampin'UP has their retirement list out today. YOu can find it here! I am offering a 20% discount on any orders that include at least 1 retiring item. So email me if you are interested. I also am giving away a paper pad, scroll down a couple of posts to find it and leave a comment to win!

Last but not least, my craft room is showcased on the Just-a-Scrappin blog today.

What's Chirping?

Today's card uses the MFT stamp set called Hangin' With My Peeps. I used my absolute favorite paper from SU called Parisian Summer. I have found tons of uses for this paper in past projects. I paperpieced part of her dress and used my copics t color the rest of the the image. I also used this pretty velvet ribbon from SU on the card and tied some daffodil ribbon around a pretty pink button.

Your the bees knees

Happy Thursday everyone. Today, I am sharing my project for Just-a-scrappin challenge #4. The challenge is to create a spring card using a tag cut and the colors, green, yellow and pink. My little bee is from PaperDoll Dress Up and I blinged up her outfit with stickles. The wings are from Create a Critter and I used my cuttlebug swirls folder and diamond stickles. The paper is scraps from Echo Park and the buttons are SU. My little tag is from Tags, Bags and More. Her face is a Peachy Keen stamp and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

Be sure to check out the other gal's projects by visiting Just-a-scrappin. I am super busy as usual. I did finish a couple of mini scrapbooks that I hope to share at some point. Right now I am watching Bill Maher because as my shows have their season finales there is less to watch and I happen to love the noise of a decent show while I craft. Cherry buttons

I will start this post by saying that I love cherries. Not too eat, I actually am not fond of eating cherries but as an element of art and design I love them! I think it has something to do with Mary Engelbreit but I just love the colors of bright red, black and green. In this card, I am using button buddies stamp set from SU and used SU buttons. The labels are also SU and the dp is from a retired SU paper that I found in my stash which made me so happy. The sentiment is ancient SU that I have had forever but kept because well I love cherries.

Hoppy Day!

Today's card is so cute, mostly because of the cute Peachy keen stamps. This cute little bunny is a cut from the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge. It was cut at 3.5 but it ended up being a big wider than I expected. I did a lot of doodling on this image, it just seemed to need it as the face kind of disappeared within the bunny suit. I used paper from my stash and I used my Corner Chomper - scallop punch for the corners. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

YOu have two weeks to enter by leaving a comment on this post. I will post the winner in two weeks! Good luck!
Today's card is a fun one. I used a cut from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. This cartridge has lots of fun cuts for different holidays. This cute chick was cut at 3.75 inches. I made black dots with my marker for his eyes. The dp is from SU and was their spring paper. I didn't care for it much but I still have some sheets left and it works nicely for when I make spring or Easter cards. It's the last official day of my Spring break! Boo-Hoo! I'm heading over very soon to visit my cousin and her new baby! Talk to you all soon.

Celebrate Princess

Hi everyone,
Always around this time of year, I think about all of the stamp sets that I have and I feel a little guilty about all the ones that I neglect. I seem to use my sentiment stamps pretty regularly but some of the other I forget all about so I dug through my stamps hoping for some inspiration and found this cute MFT Pure Innocence stamp and thought that it would make a cute birthday card. Lily is only 3 so she doesn't get invited to the gazillion parties that Tyler does but I know that it's coming. This card uses my SU dp stash and the red label is from SU's new labels dies (which I love!).

Normally, at the beginning of the month, I do my recap of how my goals are doing and show you my Project Life but lo and behold, I am a bit behind! I will be caught up this week but I just wanted to let you guys know that I didn't forget. I am now on spring break and am doing a few things with the kids this week and today is my 7th wedding anniversary! Not to mention, baseball which has taken over my life, dance class and all the other craziness that goes on in my household. I am also planning on doing some serious cooking and doing some freezer meals because it's going to be a crazy pace on the homefront until June. Hopefully, I will have the sense to take some pics and let you see some of the process. Plus, my brother is getting married, my kids are in the wedding and I have nothing to wear! In the meantime, I did create a lot this weekend so I will be posting projects! Stay tune for the recap.
