I used haiku dp from SU now retired and tangerine tango cardstock. Just a reminder that we should all try to go green so remember to bring your reusable bags. We also use plastic bags as garbage bags or when brown bagging our lunch so we reuse!

Let the Wild Rumpus Start
Today's card uses the stamp set The Places You'll Go from Taylored Expressions. I love Dr. Seuss and did this huge author study on him when I was in Grad school. I had this huge notebook with my research and then I had to make a display board. So I had to get this stamp set. The set includes wonderful sayings from Dr. Seuss except the one that I am using today which is from Where the Wild Things Are. I used some cork and some Bo Bunny paper that I had in my stash. I made my own embellishment using a flower punch and a button. The image is colored with copics. Doesn't make you feel like a vacation?

School Books
I had all of this new stuff sitting on my desk from Papertrey that I got a bee in my bonnet and decided to make these school books for my kids. I had this 5x7 Maya Road book in my stash and tons of school themed paper also in my stash that I had plenty to work with.
I used PTI's library pocket and notebook die along with the notebook stamp and school stamps from their release last month. The idea is that each year, I will put the kids school picture and update their little card with their age and teacher and any other interesting information from that school year.

This is the book that I made for Lily. I had a 6x6 book in my stash and so I had to add some ribbon the side because it looked so plain. Such an easy project because I had all of the paper, ribbons and die cut stickers in my stash. So remember use your stash and your card making supplies can be versatile and be used for making scrapbooks too!

Back to School
Today's card is for those who have headed back or will be heading back to school. The stamps used are from MFT. The dp is SU's slumber party specialty paper and the notebook paper is from SU also as is the ribbon and button. I am not sure if the stamp not having a head means anything here but I hope that everyone's transition back to the regular world has gone smoothly.

Soft but with pop!
Edited to add:
I had a really fun weekend. On Saturday we decided to spontaneously go to the San Bernardino mountains and go apple picking. We had a great time - picking apples and pears and sampling some raspberries. We then visited another place that had fresh pressed cider and the most delicious apple doughnuts. I was glad to have the chance to print out some photos and make a layout. I used SU cardstock and picnic dp also from SU. The die cuts and letters were used with my Cricut Expression and Makin' the Grade and Stretching the Imagination cartridges. Love how it came out.
Today, we went to the Pretend City Museum since I have a membership there and the kids played and then we had a nice lunch out. I'm so sad that I have to go to work tomorrow, it was so nice to have 3 days to spend with the family.
Today's card uses True Friend. The colors that I used on this card are Pink Pirouette and Burgundy. I also used my oval nestabilities and oval scallop

Today's card uses this retired Oasis paper. I used Great Friend on this card as well. I used my circle and circle scallop nestabilities and stamped the butterfly in pink pirouette and cut my butterflies out and adhered them. The sentiment and frame were stamped in gray and cut out. I used baja breeze corduroy brads to finish off my card.
