Darling Princess

Today's card is for the Cricut Circle challenge which was to create something that has a fairytale element. I decided to make a Princess card using the Once a princess cricut cart. I used this retired SU dp which I just have scraps left. I had to make two of the dresses and then cut and pieced the dress. I used Peachy Keen stamps for the face. Rhinestones for the crown and lots of stickles. The image is cut at 5.0 inches. I also decorated the inside of the card so that the card says Darling Princess. Hope you like it.

Retail therapy

Today's card uses MFT's Retail Therapy stamp set. I used more of the slumber party dp which I love and my square scallop nestabilities. I paperpieced some of the dresses and bags and colored in the rest of the images with my copics. I used an SU punch for the sentiment and this fun button also from SU. The cardstock used is baja breeze. Just love the colors!

Mr. Incredible

Today's card is for the Fantabulous Cricut blog which was to use embossing in the project. I used this tires embossing folder and used my cuttlebug. The main image was cut with my Cricut Expression and the Pixar Classics cartridge. These Disney carts are so intricate and don't always cut as well. The sentiment is from PTI.

It's been cold, cold, cold here in SoCal. We did go and get Ty a haircut and ate at Ruby's. The kids were good for once and it was an enjoyable meal.

PTI Feb Blog Hop

Last week's winner is: Jean! Please email me with your address and I will mail your prize to you.

This week's blog candy is this fun MFT stamp set Hit the Beach. To win just leave a comment on this post and I will post a winner next Friday.
Today's card is for PaperTreyInk's February blog hop. The challenge was to use scallops so I used them in two places, around my image and as a border. The dp used is PTI Egg Hunt and the cardstock and ribbon is lavender moon. The tag is fillable frames #9 and I inked the edges so that it would stand out more and the scallope circle has some doodling from my white gel pen. I think the image is from the anniversary set Round and round but I was making a ton of card when I made this one and was using the set for another image. I like how springy it came out without looking like Easter. Thanks for coming by and checking it out.

Water Fun Layout

Today I am sharing my challenge craft for the Cricut Circle Blog. The challenge was to use an animal in our project. Now, I don't have pets. Honestly, I am not a huge animal fan. My sister had a little cockatiel for 16 years which we loved but I am allergic to cats and dogs. So I used fish and Nemo from the Pixar Cricut cartridge. I also used the Life is a Beach cartridge. This is an 8x8 page for a summer book that I am making for my sister.

For the boys

Today's card uses Let's Hear it for the Boys from MFT. I paperpieced the rug, shirt, pants and armchair from retired SU dp. I also used Not quite navy and old olive cardstock and lots of silver brads. I made this card back in summer and totally forgot about it. It was when I was on a blitz to use my stamp sets at least once! Hope that you guys are doing well, fast post today.

"other stamps"

Do you sometimes have images on or in stamp sets that you never use? I tend to use the main focal images and hardly ever use some of the accompanying stamps in a set. So this card was my attempt to use some of those "other stamps" I think that these stamps are from MFT's Retail Therapy stamp set and I used the purse images and the sentiment, colored in with copics. The dp is retired Blueberry Maine, I think is what it's called. It's so bright andcheerful. I also tied off some old olive satin ribbon which I think is my favorite. This card might be fun with a gift card tucked inside!

Have a good day!

You Make Me Smile

Today's card is for Paper Trey Ink's Make it Monday. I used the stamp sets Wishing You and Signature Greetings. The challenge was to use a vellum strip. I attached my vellum with brads and the sentiment is embossed. The flowers were stamped on the berry sorbet cardstock with white pigment ink and the the cardstock base is kraft. I tied New leaf swiss dot ribbon around the top. Hope you like my card!

Be yourself

HI everyone, Today's card is another one that I made at my Christmas Stampin' Up party, not my usual style but I love the simplicity all of the white space in this card. The crown is heat embossed and has a little bling. The bottom of the card is punched once with the heart border edge punch and backed with pink cardstock. The top has beautiful pink satin ribbon tied in a bow. This was a super quick card to make but I think that we need a few in our arsenal, don't you think?

Valentine Cutie

Today's project is one that I made at My SU Christmas party back in December. It uses this SU card cuties stamp set, colored in markers. Can you see my mistake? I put the music paper on backwards but I had already ripped it and it looked funny the other way after that. It uses chunky glitter,a fun brad, some fab fancy ribbon and some dry embossing. I never even looked at this stamp set in the catalog but after using it, it just is so cute! So lesson learned, don't dismiss something without giving it a try because you just never know! Hope that you had a sweetheart or two for V Day!

Let's Hang Out

Today's card is for the weekly Cricut Circle Blog Challenge which was to make a "love note" that included embossing and hearts. I used my brand new Life is a Party cart for this card and cut my monkey at 3.5 inches in two shades of pink and outlined some of the parts with my white gel pen for a little definition. The dp is retired SU and I used my hearts cuttlebug folder and punched the bottom with an SU border punch. The hearts were punched from my small SU heart punch. The sentiment was also from the Life is a Party cart and was highlighted with some stickles. I gave this "love note" to Lily and she was very happy with it.

Valentine's Day was fun - we went to a diner with the kids who were very good for once. DH stopped by the sporting goods store on the way home and bought me a bike. Yeah. One step closer to being able to take bike rides with the family.

Love Banner

Today's post meets the monthly challenge over on the cricut circle blog which was to make a banner. This is actually my first banner. I used my "go to" February paper dp from SU called Sending Love specialty. I also used a lovely doily. Now I have been seeing doilies everywhere and actually was looking for Martha Stewart ones but I couldn't find them. This one is from Wilton and I found it in the cake aisle at Joann. They were like 2 bucks and there are at least 25 in a package. I cannot remember what cart I got the banner from, I had made it on my Gypsy. When I went back into my Gypsy I just shrunk my banner by an inch to cut the dp. The heart was cut in red from the Plantin Schoolbook cart and the letters were cut from Base Camp. I used a hole punch to punch holes in the corners and ran some retired chocolate satin ribbon through and knotted the ends.
I then hung the banner on my entertainment center and it looks so spectacularly cute! I think that it's found a permanent home.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today's card is this gorgeous card that I got in a swap. It uses a bund of new products from SU - from the current mini, including the stamp set, and the sizzix embossing folder. I think that it's just beautiful.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I'm home today and hopefully will be crafting!

Raining hearts

Cute cute cute! How cute is this stamp from Stamping Bella? I bought this stamp A LONG time ago and cleaned out some of my mess and found a slew of stamps that I had bought and never inked up including this cutie which just fit with my blitz of Valentine's stamping. I colored her with copics and used my nestabilities for the scallop square. The dp is more Sending Love dp from Su and the ribbon is taffeta SU pink ribbon. Also, the card is a 4x4 square card which I don't normally like to do odd sized cards because of having to find the right envelope but this stamp is small and looked better on a smaller card. Thanks so much for looking.

Thank you PTI style

Today's card uses a lot of berry sorbet and I think hibiscus burst and about 7 different PTI stamp sets that have a thank you sentiment on it. The flower that I used was from last year's anniversary stamp set. I stamped it in versamark on the cardstock and then I stamped it in both colors for the flower and cut it out and used a button. Not my usual style but I do like how it came out. It does sort of bother me making this kind of card because all of the sentiments are different sizes so it was hard to make things straight and symmetrical...this card is for 0ne of the many anniversary challenges over on Nichole's blog. You should check it out!

Also, how do you like my new blog header? I thought it was time to freshen it up a bit! Let me know what you think. Veronica at VK Designs did it for me. She is behind the pretty blog headers that I have had ...if you are looking to freshen up your blog, I highly recommend her. You can find her link on the side. She does have a bit of a wait but she's worth it!

Lovebirds

The winner of last week's blog candy is Darlene L. Email me with your address as soon as possible. This week's candy is this fabulous cupcake stamp set. Leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner and post next Friday.

Today's card uses burgundy and pink and this awesome, I forgot that I had some making memories paper. The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink and the stamp set is Love You Much along with the hearts that I punched with a coordinating heart punch. I used my large scallop circle punch from SU and then used my white gel pen to add some white dots for interest. I think that it's very cute. Do any of you have any special plans for Valentine's Day? We normally don't do much but I am hoping for a dinner out with just hubby and me. NO kids that I have to feed or tell to sit up or that have to go the bathroom right when my soup comes out or who keep peeking at the people in the booth behind us....

Welcome spring

Today's card was for the My Pink Stamper challenge to make a spring card. I think that this card really epitomizes spring. I used the Cricut cartridge Walk in My Garden for the beehive and bee. The beehive was cut at 3.5 and the cardstock is daffodil and black. I ran the daffodil piece through my cuttlebug for some texture. The bee looked very plain until I put some black stickles on the wings of the bee and it really made it pop. I also put the bee on an action wobble. The dp is springtime from Echo Park and it's just the perfect paper for this card.

The sentiment is from PTI and I stamped it on bashful blue and punched it out with an SU punch.

I don't want to rub it in but our weather right now is amazing. It's about high 70's low 80's here. I think we are going to do something "outside" this weekend because the weather can change so quickly! Enjoy your day, remember more blog candy tomorrow.

Be Mine

You will notice a lot of this paper on the blog this month. It's out on my craft table and I am trying to use up as much as I can. The dp is retired SU and is called Sending Love speciality paper. This sheet is super glittery and pretty, I just love red. The stamp set is Season of Friendship. I really like how this stamp set can be adapted for any season or holiday. I cased the idea from I forget who but I didn't have all of the elements. So I created my banner using my Cricut - I think the basketball solutions cart but I really can't remember and I stamped the Be Mine with a retired and fairly old CTMH stamp in riding hood red. The leaves are stamped in riding hood red and I punched hearts out of riding hood red paper and put glitter on them. I wish that I had the new glitter red paper but I haven't had a chance to order it yet.

Maid for You

I think that my husband might like this card. It's the Maid for You stamp set from MFT and I think it's just a teensiest bit naughty. The dp is Sending Love specialty paper which I love. I still have 1 more pack of it. I think that it showed up on the clearance rack and I bought another pack of it. The cardstock is riding hood red, pink pirouette and chocolate. I also used chocolate satin ribbon and a red corduroy brad. The sentiment in punched out with an SU punch and the image is paperpieced and colored in with copics.

Flowery thanks

I love when I can doubledip challenges. It does not happen very often. This card first of all meets the Cricut Circle challenge which was to use at least 3 of an element and use a spray kind of paint. Int his case, I used smooch on my bashful blue flowers which is very subtle and you can kind of see the shimmer when you hold up the card which suited me fine. The flowers were cut at 1.25 and 1.75 from the Walk in My Garden cartridge. I stitched with white gel pen around the pacific point flowers. The dp is retired Maine blueberry from SU and I used my large scallop punch for the sentiment which is also from SU.

This card also meets the Mojo Monday challenge which was to use a particular sketch but was also supposed to be a circle or a square but I apparently forgot that part but I did enjoy using the sketch.

Thanks to Babe, she kindly reminded me that the stamp I used in the mailbox card was from SU's Wandering words and Melissa I would love your recipe for easy pizza dough. I buy mine from an Italian market but it's cross town and I only go there when I am out that way which is not often!

Don't forget blog candy below! Hope you all had a great weekend. I did my taxes today. Not fun, but done! So that's a big relief. Enjoy your Sunday and the Superbowl if you plan on watching.
