Halloween Pics and more top note

Here are a couple of Halloween Pics. Tyler was of course Thomas the Tank Engine and Lily was the absolutel cutest little pumpkin you ever saw. That's my sister in the top picture. She really wanted to get a good pic of her with the little ones but Tyler would not cooperate.

On this card, I used the negative of the Top Note Die from the card that I made yesterday. The paper is double sided so I just flipped it over and mounted it on white cardstock, stamped my images (all from Merry and Bright) and Iwas all done. The base cardstock is baja breeze. It was a great way to not waste!

To use the Top Note Die in the Cuttlebug, I do the B plate, Die facing up with cardstock on top, then B plate. It works great! I saw a sandwich on another blog to use the scallop die which you need to have the crease pad for. So I bought the crease pad but haven't had a chance to use it yet so I'll let you know!

Topnote Twigster and winner!

Above you will find a couple of pics on our Day Out with Thomas. The top pic is Tyler riding the train. We were near the front so we could actually kind of see Thomas, he was just a little in front of us. The next pic is of Thomas approaching. The last pic is of Tyler on the floor playing with trains. They had a tent set up with all kind of train tables and trains for the little kids to play. We got there early so he had plenty of room to move around. He's the one in bright Thomas blue. You'll notice he had a long sleeve shirt in this pic. The top pic he's wearing a red short sleeve shirt. It got super hot so I changed his shirt.

Even though Lily didn't come (she hung out with grandma), I had to put a little picture of her. She's now 5 months old. Isn't she totally gorgeous? I could just eat her up!

I just love this Top Note Die from SU. I actually don't have the Big Shot. My husband would kill me! I just don't have the space. We have a huge bedroom and I have a little corner of it which I have outgrown ten times over! I do have my little cuttlebug and I can use this die in it! The dp is ski slope and found in the holiday mini. I also used this cool felt snowflake also in the mini as is of course Twigster. I used my copics to color him in and outlined his body in cool gray. Another really simple card that you can reproduce easily!

A simple tree

Here is another card made with my red and green card kit. I used a holiday set from Paper Trey Ink. I stamped the tree in old olive and just highlighted the berries with a red marker. The sentiment is also Paper Trey Ink. A very simple holiday card but I also think that it's easy to duplicate and look no dp!

Snow Swirled Santa

Here is another card using my red and green cardkit. The snowflakes are from Snow Swirled by the santa is a Paper Trey Ink stamp. All other supplies are Stampin' Up. The colors used are kiwi kiss, real red and bashful blue.

We had a great time at the Day at with Thomas. Tyler had a blast. They really made the event fun for the kids. As soon as I get a chance, I'll post a couple of pics. Talk to you all soon.

Merry and Bright

Here are some cards using my Mr. Twigster class kit except I used Merry and Bright. This is such a cute little set. The papers are Frosty from the Holiday mini. I used Bashful blue ribbon along with my favorite new ribbon Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla. Love it! I also used a felt flurry from the holiday mini as well. I am loving these non-holiday colors for Christmas too! I also used my silver gel pen to color in the snowman's hat on the first card which gave it some great sparkle!

It's not very cold yet...

Here is a card that I made using the elements in my class by mail kit. I used the stamps in MFT's Baby It's Cold Outside. I colored in the image using my copics and the snow has diamond stickles. The snowflakes were stamped using silver encore ink pad. The sentiment has little dots on the top and bottom, I used a silver pen for this.

The weather here has been so warm! It was close to 90 on Halloween and it's still unseasonally warm. We never see snow here but the weather usually turns crisp. It still feels like summer! This is the closest that I actually get to snow, which I'm really happy about. Anything, under 60 degrees and I'm totally freezing!

Heart Candy Friday & Holiday Cards

I'm going to Perris, California for "A Day Out with Thomas." We get to ride a real life "Thomas" train and they have other activities for the kids too. My little two year old is going to go nuts! Lily is spending the day with my mom so she'll be spoiled rotten. The only problem is our train leaves early so we have to get up at like 5:00 and leave the house by 6:00. Perris is a couple of hours away! Just as long as there is a Starbucks on the way I'll be fine!

Christmas owls & Cards for Sale

Here is another card that I used my class by mail kit. However, I used MFT's Christmas owls. How cute are these little owls. I used Real Red and White. The white piece is cuttlebugged. The owls were colored using my copics. I used liquid pearls on the owl's hats. I think that it's a simple but fun card and another Christmas card to add to my stash.

Introducing...The Heart Shoppe

I have decided to open a little cyber store which will be where I sell my class by mail kits, ribbon shares, scrapbooks, sketch books and more. I have a few things on there right now and will be adding more as I can.

The first project that I want to show you is this very cool 2009 calendar. It was inspired by a project that I saw on this blog.

I used these cool rectangle coasters that I found and the Create a Calendar kit found in the SU mini catalog. I cut the calendar papers down and adhered them to cardstock that I stamped with Boho Backgrounds. I then adhered the cardstock to the coaster and used my cropadile and jumbo eyelets and bound it all together with jump rings and it stands up all on its own. I plan on cutting the calendar papers even smaller, leaving room on top for pictures of my kids and giving this to my mom for Christmas.

This is my first class in the mail kit. I have put together the ingredients you need to make this including the precut cardstock, coasters and embellishments.
