Did you all get a lot of trick or treaters? I was surprised by how few we got at our house. My sister had a couple hundred in her neighborhood, I had about 30 and we live in the same city. Go figure...
Has anyone seen these at Michaels? They're in the $1.00 bin. I couldn't help but buy a bunch of them because I love Mary Engelbreit and because how cute are they? I thought that I could make X-Mas tags and little enclosure cards with them. Here is my completed project. I made two different kinds of tags and then a small enclosure card that I can put in a 3x3 envelope and include with my gift. The tags would tie onto a present's bow. I think silver or gold cording would be better than ribbon because it's skinnier and would match all the wrapping paper, etc. But I didn't have any just yet so I put ribbon on them just for the picture. The to/from was used with my Karen Foster snap stamps.
Here I made a little ornament using one of these small round tins. The background paper is I think Basic Grey, I got it in blog candy this week. I used one of my cute stickers from the $1 bin and I used cardstock to pop it up. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes, it was like butter. I found that my ribbon was a little off-center though so I think next time I will punch my holes for my ribbon first and then decorate my tin so I can center it better.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for Friday's Heart Candy!
