Cuttlebug Flowers and Summer Heart Candy

Here is a card that I made to submit to the Paper Trey Ink site. I used the stamp set Women of Life and the new April paper pack. I used my cuttlebug flower set along with lightweight coasters to make the flowers. The ribbon is May Arts because I hadn't gotten my Paper Trey Ink order yet with the new ribbon. The stems were stamped with Aqua Mist ink. I really like the way it came out.

This week's heart candy is a Fiskars acrylic stamp set - the name escapes me but it's a brand new stamp set with summer images. To win is easy, just leave a comment on this post by midnight Tuesday and I will select a winner on Wednesday, April 30. If you'd like you can answer this question, are you a cardmaker, a scrapbooker or both? Also, do you use up your scraps? or do you, gasp, throw them away? I am starting to get overloaded with scraps, some are easy to use up but others I'm just not sure what to do with! I am working on lots of cards so I hope to upload some new projects soon! Enjoy your Friday!

I'm primarily a cardmaker. I want to scrapbook but just haven't!

Heavens no, I don't throw away scraps! I don't have alot yet (kinda newbie) but what I don't use, my kids love to work with. They love to make cards and various other paper crafts as well!

Love the card, btw. !

Thanks for the chance!

I'm both! I do keep my scaps and will be sorting them by colour into large ziploc bags so I can just grab a colour and find a piece that will fit.

I am a cardmaker. Working toward scrapping, but just haven't made the jump. I make embelishments with my scraps, flowers, tags, tabs, etc.

I'm a cardmaker .... and yes, I throw my scraps away! Actually, I only keep the really big scraps (anything over half a sheet in size I keep) everything smaller gets thrown out!

I like the card by the way, it turned out great!

Nice card!
I'm a cardmaker and I am resolving to use more scraps in my cards...I've seen some beauties made with just DP scraps!

I think I can!! :)

I'm a scrapbooker and I made an occasional card when I need one. I want to make more cards and I do save all my scraps (at least, the ones I would imagine myself making a card out of - the others I dump at the exchange box at the scrapbook store or give away) but I also don't want to be forever behind scrapbooking. =P

I'm mostly a card maker. I do use my scraps. I used them with my punches, I even use the small pieces to make confetti with my very small punches. Thanks for sharing this great set.

I love the little cuddlebug flowers on your card. I have a Cuddlebug which I love to pieces but don't have that die. Guess I will have to go shopping.....

I save my scraps while I am making cards and try to use them on another project. I save them in color categories in folders.

I do both scrapbooking and card making. I keep most of my scrap cardstock in the same bag as full sheets, then when I need a scrap, I pull it from the bag.

That card is one of the sunniest and happy cards that I've seen in a long time...great work. If it's large enough to make into a Sizzix die, I hold on to my scraps. I try to sort them in big ziplock bags according to color & it takes hours to sort them:) I often wonder why if the little money I save on paper by using that occassional scrap is really worth my time.

You have the best blog candy!!
To answer your questions...I am mostly a scrapbooker. I don't really enjoy making cards that much. Scraps, I save them! You never know when you will want it.

I do both, scrap and cardmaking. I LOVE using scraps...its like a challenge. I make a lot of cards with a good friend and sometimes I will pull out her scrap basket and just go to town. Love the new stamp set! TFS!

Definitely both. Scraps are heaven and I love coming up with interesting ways to use everything.
Thanks for the great opportunity and the work you do for all of us.

I usually use my scraps, but if they get overwhelming, I toss them all and start the pile again. I do both cards and scrapbook pages. Don't do digi though.

I am definitely a card maker. I went to a crop this weekend and was the only "stamper/card maker" there. I even ended up selling 5 cards without even trying! :) How fun is that! I don't have this set of stamps so I would love to win it. Thanks for the chance to win some fun candy.

I'm a cardmaker. Just can't get into scrapbooking. I save all of my scraps and try to use them, but I seem to have an ever-growing stash.

Love your card. Love my cuttlebug too. I'm a card maker. I started out as a scrapbooker and every so often I feel like making a brag book or other small crafty scrapbook but it never materializes into anything. Basically, I love card making.

Hi Cindy,
I'm a cardmaker who saves scraps, but I don't use them as much as I should!? I think if I had a more efficient way of storing them, I would use them more. Do you have any suggestions for scrap storage?

Thanks for sharing!!

I'm primarily a card maker, but I really want to learn to scrap as well - four (soon to be five) grandchildren who all need scrapbooks! I save all my scraps and like you am slightly overwhelmed by boxes of them. I am going to put together a big box of them and donate it to a local group that works with folks with challenges. They have told her that they will use them and so I know they'll go to a good home. I do sort them into dp and cs and some are sorted by size as well.

You make great cards. I'm a cardmaker and save ALL my scraps, and sometimes when I have time I use them. They are sorted, SU and non, SU into 4 colour groups, the other edges up in a shoebox by size and colour. When I don't have time, (me racing the clock for the PO),or am taking alot of time with a card, I tend to make more scraps !! Yikes, am I alone? Thanks. :) bluemoonbyniteatyahoodotcom
