Pretty in Purple

I have a card to share with you all. It's a card I made for a challenge that can be found here.
Doesn't scream spring? The paper is from CTMH and the sentiment is SU. The ribbon is American Crafts and seems to match perfectly. The hardware is WER Memory Keepers and the flower is from Prima. The pearl in the center of the flower is from Target 1.00 spot. I should have bought more, what a bargain! I made the card for a challenge but I really love how it came out so it's definitely going in my "thank you card" stash.

I have a question, what is up with all the little kids who bite? My son is 18 months old and he has been bitten no less than 8 times. He probably was bitten about 7 times when he was in the infant room and he has not even been with toddlers a month and he has gotten bitten. And this bite was a good one. You can still see it almost a week later! I know the other kids get frustrated because if they want a toy that he has, they can't get it away from him, he is very big and strong for his age. He's the same size as the 2 and 21/2 year olds but still it's very aggravating. Then today, he apparently fell down and has this mean old split lip! My poor baby is just getting beat up!

Well, hopefully no more mishaps for him this week. Don't forget to visit me tomorrow for some more heart candy!

Love that card! And I still have some of that paper you shared with me... May have to CASE you.

J was the repeated victim of a biter when he was in the Toddler Room at daycare, too. Habitual biters should be removed from the class. Does the teacher know about the biting? Are you getting incident reports, or just seeing the marks on your son? The teachers wouldn't tell me which child it was, but J did. I brought it up with the director of the daycare, and she assured me that the parents did get warnings. Tell your son to let the teachers know as soon as it happens, and address your concerns with them. They should take an active part in teaching the biter another way to cope with frustration. Good luck!

Melissas gave good advice about dealing with the biter; sometimes kids bite because they have no other way to communicate. If your son is bigger and stronger, that might be their way of coping. Biting should be dealt with firmly and quickly by the staff, and if they have a "no big deal" attitude, that would be a red flag to me. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

The card is beautiful, it's good to see spring colors again!
