Star Heart Candy

Here is what you are playing for, another fun stamp set from Inque Boutique. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by midnight, Tuesday, April 22 and I will choose a winner randomly on Wednesday morning.

Thanks Melissa for your advice regarding the "biters" at my son's daycare. I do get incident reports. If it happens again, my husband and I will be talking to the director because we plan on sending our new baby to the same place and we don't want her to get bitten either! My son went through a very short hitting phase but other than that, he doesn't hit or bite or scratch or any of that stuff. We of course don't get to find out who the culprit is, but I do know that he did get bitten once by my stepdaughter's math teacher's little girl. I know kids grow out of this stuff but I just don't want my son to have to get bitten in the meantime!

Anyway, enjoy your Friday and your weekend! Talk to you soon.

great candy!!! I had this problem too in daycare, my poor girl came home with deep teeth marks. I went to the director and was very firm that it wouldn't be tolerated by me and that if it continues that I would be talking to the parents myself. I also showed them a picture I had taken of the bite. It scared them enough to take me seriously and it stopped. I think they had a very firm talking too with the other kid's parents where before it was just kind of shrugged off.

Very nice candy! One of our twins (the girl) is a biter. Hard habit to break. They are a little over 2 and it's a struggle for my ddl. I wish you the best of luck. ~chris

I can totally sympathize with you and your son. My daughter was the same way - always getting bit. She never bit but the bitters seemed attracted to her. We changed baby-sitters because the lady let her daughter bit mine and "didn't know what to do about it". The last time she came home with 3 bites on one arm that bruised so bad I thought people were going to turn me in for child abuse. Anyway I hope things work out for your son.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I once worked in a toddler classroom with a little boy who bit everyone. The only think that we could do was to keep him by an adults side at all times, which is pretty hard when there are 12 one-yr-olds and 2 teachers! Eventually, another child had enough and bit him back hard!! He never did it again. I don't think it was the act that stopped him from doing it so much as his little brain finally got it, "hey, it hurts when I bite my friends".

Awesome candy! My son went through a very brief biting phase; mostly a "I'll bite your hand if you don't let go of that toy" thing with his older sister. So glad it didn't last long. We also had our 2 year old daughter get bitten near her arm pit (weird place) by a total stranger child when we were camping years ago. Ooooh...I was SO angry. I hope they get that figured out quickly!

Oooh. That biting is an issue. My husband actually bit one of my girls back because she was habitual. He didn't leave a mark, but cured her of it forever. I know how awful that sounds, but it really hurts when those little suckers bite and we were at our wits end. I can't imagine how awful it is for your son.

I feel for you with the little biter. My cousin was a biter too and I was her target. But my dad
made me bite her back this one day,
much to my Aunt's horror, but she
never did it again. I think it also shows lack of discipline by the teachers to segregate the biter for a while and report the incident to the parents for their input. Hopefully your son won't be the target again.

Sorry to hear that your cute little guy is getting bit - my nephew used to bite my daughter & it was a painful situation in more ways than one! Life is tough, even for toddlers.

I would love to WIN these stars!

* Sorry to hear about the biting.
I was thankful my kids didn't go through this...but some of my friends had problems with this too.
Hope the parents deal with this
promptly.

I love Inque Boutique stamps! Thanks for the chance to win. I hope the biting things passes quickly. My kids are now 17 and 18 so we are way passed that phase. The best thing I can tell you is "This too shall pass". I hope that your son gets no more bites.

Great candy/ Thanks so much for sharing.
Sorry to hear about your son. I never tolerated such behavior when it came to my daughter. I hope there will be a good outcome before your daughter has to go there too.
